Mill room breakfast was great. We got the omelet on the menu and Belgium waffle with delicious homemade tasting whip cream and was so good we got it again the next day.

Check-in was a bit of a hassle. Initially, I got 2 cards that didn't work for the room- unfortunately we didn't find out they didn't work until we drove our car to the next building where the room was located ( and brought luggage to the room) and then had to drive all the way back to the building with the front desk. They initially told us the problem was likely the battery for the electronic lock on the door, but after getting new keys it worked. Off to a rocky start, but the rest of the trip was great.

One of our most pleasant and memorable anniversary celebrations. Elegant architecture, perfectly maintained grounds, comfy dining and bar in the Mill, but the people! we’re so warm and welcoming and went out of their way to ensure our time with them was memorable. we will be back! Special thanks to the amazing Mill wait staff, bartender, and front desk staff.

Being Father’s Day and a three day holiday weekend, check-in wait time for our room was way longer than normal but we changed into our swim suits and spent the time at their lovely pool near the spa. we were rewarded with a beautiful upgraded room with a porch and view of the lake. we’ll worth the wait!

lots of walking trails, from strolling around the ponds to hiking 2 miles up a wooded hill. The architecture is classic without frills and the location overall is perfect-just far enough from town to give one the sense of the country and just far enough from the Blue Ridge Mountains to know town is just down the road. I didn’t get to revel in the Spa or the huge indoor sport complex but they look amazing. The front desk and dining staff were cordial, more than accommodating and went out of their way to create a special weekend for us.

I’m trying to think of a negative and frankly, there isn’t one.

Hospitality has a new meaning after our visit at Boars Head. From the beginning at check-in consiere service greetings and salutation is like a family event. The brilliance in smiles and going above and beyond greetings. Insuring comfort and security and safety are paramount. Bravo..BRAVO...BRAVO... THE menu is better than any other with fresh Ness flavor and quantities. Servers in the restaurant mmmuuhha.. over the moon kindness. The entertainment guitarist lightened the ambiance.

Nothing to improve... the hospitality IS above all other.

Beautiful resort, just what we were looking for. The place provides great accommodations, an adults-only pool (One for families is also on-site.), great spa (Make reservations!), and a great Davis Love III golf course along with an amazing putting green just out the back door of the golf shop! What else do you need!?!?!

It rained 4 of the 6 days of our stay!

Staff very friendly. Great locations, excellent restaurant (The Mill) and excellent service, great room.

Room service for breakfast was very poor. I ordered 2 omelettes that were just ok, some toast that I didn't finish, no butter, no jelly. I asked for extra milk and they brought it to me when I had already finished my breakfast. The breakfast was too expensive for the quality of the food offered and the service.

Really spacious rooms with very comfortable beds. Excellent sports centre and very friendly, helpful staff. Good location near Monticello, although you do need a car to access Charlottesville. Great sports centre- we loved pickle ball! Country club style, however was very family friendly. Appreciated the room upgrade.

Nothing really. Breakfast not our best on our trip given the price but we’re not picking.

Loved the grounds, resort facilities. Mill Restaurant was excellent. Love the adults only pool.

Room was dated and felt like a pet room. Bathroom was dated and tiny. Amenities were almost empty (body wash). Barre class was decent. No hot tub. Only room service for breakfast and not dinner.

The resort was a beautiful location. Wonderful staff. Very clean. Good food. My husband enjoyed the golf course.

Staying at Boar’s Head was very expensive for my husband and I. We were celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary, so we splurged. Our room (1237) had a balcony that overlooked the resort workers’ office and parked carts. All morning, as I sat on the balcony, my view was of the workers coming and going on their carts. I got to see, hear and smell many truck deliveries, as well as hear a loud leaf blower under my window. My only complaint about the Boar’s Head, was that for all the money I spent, we didn’t deserve the circus going on outside my window.

Delightful property, beautiful grounds, friendly staff, good restaurant food.

It was impossible to book a massage appointment on the weekend we were there, even with a few days prior notice. Signage on the grounds was not up to expectations. It was initially hard to find the tennis center and trailhead, for example. Hook on bathroom door was not properly secured.
