Staybridge Suites Salt Lake-West Valley City, an IHG Hotel

Great location right by the Maverik Center. Great pool area our 2 little ones couldn't get enough of the water area for little ones. My son couldn't stop wanting to go down the kiddie water slide. Breakfast was great. Beds were comfortable. The ladies at night and morning at front desk were amazing. Bedroom was well stocked plenty of towels and etc. Found the bedding for the pull out mattress in closet Great add on. Some how didn't hear any traffic noise being right against the interstate.

Didn't realize how small the pullout mattress was but honestly some how ended up not needing it. Other than that no complaints. Do gotta let people know pool slide is only open on basically the weekend and certain hours only.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Worked hard to solve our AC problem. Pool was very nice and the kids had a blast. The suite was very comfortable and the extra room was nice to have with little kids.

The AC in our room froze so we were unable to cool it very well the first night. 2 people came and checked on us, they gave us the last room as an option to sleep cool and let us leave our stuff in the room we had reserved. The staff wasn’t super knowledgeable about the problem though and we had to wait until the next morning for a technician.

The hotel receptionist Arianna was amazing! We had a little problem with booking.com and our reservation, but Ari went above and beyond to accommodate and try to help figure out a solution. She even took us on a tour to see different room styles. The hotel lobby and breakfast area was beautiful, the room comfortable and exceptionally clean. I was impressed with the size and quality of the rooms, it was a good price. Breakfast was delicious with a good variety of choices. The pool area is amazing for kids!! We will definitely stay there again, but I will book directly with the hotel next time not use a third party.

Customer service at Booking.com was not helpful. I talked to 3 different representatives and not one of them answered my questions. I was literally standing in the hotel lobby while on the phone but they kept saying they had to contact the hotel or the hotel wouldn't respond or they were waiting for a response and would have to call me back. Ari even called to see if she could take care of it and they didn't help. I was NOT impressed with booking.com customer service. However; because we couldn't get a straight answer, we just kept our reservation as it was and loved the hotel!

When I booked this it was not stated at all on the bookings site about a $25 resort fee. I had just called the hotel a couple days before to check on the reservation because of Covid numbers etc. That is when I found out about it. Said it was non refundable and that it was stated on the site. I couldn’t find it until I called the hotel back again and she had to walk me through it. Bookings was actually great about the fee and refunded me but still bugged at that fee. Th hotel stay was great room was huge and so comfortable and sad that a $25 fee out a sore taste in my mouth. Breakfast was great even with covid restrictions. My kids loved the pool and the beds were comfy. Towels were very limited though and were hard to get more. Overall a fine stay. Just beware of that fee.

Getting in to the hotel was kind of difficult. The construction and small space to turn in to the property was a pain. Also, a child pooped in the pool and we were told we could go back in 30 min to swim. I don’t feel that it was cleaned properly in that amount of time.

If you’re okay with being independent and figuring stuff out on your own, this is it. But if you want any front desk service whatsoever expect to be completely ignored. They don’t like travelers. Couldn’t even get an extra pillow without calling corporate.

Everything was exceptional except the staff.

We have stayed here twice and had a great time- the kids loved the pool! The second time we were given a free upgrade due to the size of our party, and the lady behind the desk could not have even more accommodating and kind. We will definitely be back!

I was expecting a simple grab 'n go due to the pandemic, but I was very pleased to learn that a full buffet breakfast including several hot options would be served each morning. I was also extremely grateful for the upgrade to a two bedroom/two bath suite, instead of a one bedroom suite. The evening hospitality was also an unexpected bonus that we enjoyed.

The pools is actually smaller than shown in photos and the hotel charge extra $ per person if more than 3 people in the same room want to use the pool. The pool is shared with adjacent hotel and water didn’t look very clean/clear to me.

Nice, clean hotel. Comfy beds. The suites are big and have everything you need for an extended stay. The staff was super friendly and helpful. The pool area is great. I love that it is suitable for kids of all ages and has a water slide and splash pad inside. Their breakfast in the morning was good. Overall we had a very pleasant stay and would definitely book with them again.

It would be nice if the pool area stayed open longer and had better hours for the slide. I think the fields and surrounding area of the hotel downgrade the greatness of the hotel. The surroundings of the hotel, not the hotel itself but the fields and surroundings could use work to make it more presentable and welcoming.
