Comfort Suites Conference Center Rapid City

The staff at the front desk found out we were having car trouble & got us into our rooms early so we could settle in the kids & our luggage, while Dad took the car to be fixed. The staff was very courteous and helpful.

Not much variety at breakfast.

Loved the breakfast buffet! Eggs were enchanting! (not sure if they were the 'instant eggs' variety, or if they were real, but they were extremely tasty, and they really hit the spot. Waffle maker was busy the whole time though, and I believe that if there were one more 'large' waffle maker, it would really complete the breakfast buffet. As it stands there was one 'large' and one '4-small-waffle' makers. Drinks were wonderful, and the dining facility was well staffed, cleaned, and the hostesses (waitresses?) were kind, and wished the best with whomever they spoke. I needed directions to many of the local features, and one slender, blonde, waitress (tattoos - can't remember her name!), was particularly helpful, even though she was leaving the business soon. She treated me with respect, and I felt very much at home speaking with her. The hot-tub was nice and warm (I'd complained that it was too cool the first night, but never had a problem after that). There were kids jumping into it, which was a little annoying, but nobody got hurt while I was there, so I count that as a blessing.

Having to check out and leave! Having to come back home to my mundane life after an awesome vacation and stay! 18-hour drive. It was worth it though.

Breakfast was decent, though I would have preferred it to be warmer. Kitchen staff were extremely kind and helpful, as was the front desk personnel.

Would be nice if there was an adults only time for the pool. Or at least twelve and over. Also, my adult sons were in a separate room and had to listen to squeaky pipes all night from next door, along with small children running in the room above them for most of the night. I did tell them to call the front desk if it bothered them too much, but they chose to ignore it as best they could. They said it's just a part of traveling!

Unfortunately there is only a grab & go breakfast. That was disappointing.

We got the room with the pull out sofa bed and had plenty of room for my family of 5. They had a really nice grab and go style breakfast. Pool was small and a bit chilly but the hot tub was great! Staff was very friendly and offered dining suggestions! We were exhausted so we had Dominoes delivered to our room. Comfortable beds and we all had nice hot showers! Nice location, close enough to the sites but not too close to any noisy areas.

Had an excellent stay at the hotel! The staff were very friendly and always able to help and answer our questions. The rooms were very clean, we had no problems at all. The breakfast was great every morning, and always fresh. The hotel was in a great location to get to all the outings for the day.

The pool looked a little dirty the first two days we stayed. On the third night it looked a lot cleaner but the smell of the chlorine was to strong.

Terrible coffee at breakfast. One of our beds was broken, but half of us were asleep by the time I realized it so we didn't ask to change rooms. (I did let them know on checkout.) The hotel is remodeling, so some spots are dirty and in need of update; it didn't affect our stay.

Check in was easy. Rooms were close together as requested, were clean, had nice size sitting areas, comfortable beds, and good size bathrooms. Swimming pool had a shallow end that was easy for my 5 year old grandson to stand up in. Hot tub very warm. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Had cookies in the afternoon in the lobby.

Breakfast was great the first morning. The next day, Sunday, we came down at 8:30 and there were no eggs, sausage, potatoes, muffins or fruit. Finally someone showed up with some eggs and sausage mixed together after I complained to the front desk. Came down at 7:00 the third day. It was better, but still had to wait for eggs and sausage to show up.

Breakfast was good. The A/C worked well. Aside from the toilet (below) the room was clean.

When I got to my room, the toilet had not been flushed. I mentioned this at the front desk, and they apologized and gave me extra points for the inconvenience. Also, the tissue box was empty - doesn't housekeeping check these things?? Also, people above were running around and jumping up and down into the night which was not restful for me.
