staff always very nice; decor always enjoyed

We've stayed here quite a few times, even when it was the Atherton Hotel back several years, and the elevators are ridiculously bad. Always. Has no one figured out that only 1 or 2 functioning elevators out of 3 isn't great? And the elevators look shabby and jerk and groan. They haven't changed since the days of the Atherton Hotel. So the rooms, public spaces and decor are really great but if I constantly have to stand waiting for crummy elevator whether at parking level of lobby level or room floor, and it's been this way for every stay here we have experienced, why wouldn't you fix your elevator service?? Really very annoying especially for frequent visitors

A great location for a hotel at Penn State - right in the downtown area and close to campus. The room was so cute with Penn State decor that was not overdone. We were there for the inaugural Ironman 70.3 and they had out snacks for athletes and even a bike cleaning station in the garage.

Don't have much to complain about - wish parking was included, but $15/night isn't too unreasonable.

We liked a lot of things of the Graduate hotel. Rooms are very well decorated and the beds are very comfortable , bathrooms are very spacious, perfect for more than one person.

Our room 301 had a very specific noise in the air condition that we ended up getting used to it! I think you should check this up! Also we dis not know that the cleaning of the rooms were upon request!

The hotel is beautifully decorated and the location is perfect. The rooms are spacious and the staff is friendly and helpful

Our room had not been properly vacuumed from the previous guest I suppose (there were crayons and some plastic holder or something under our bed). The second day there were issues with the water heater and there was no hot water in our room. Also I understand there were renovating the elevators, which accounted for their unkempt appearance. Still I would stay again; technical issues can happen anywhere.

The hotel was easy to find and there was plenty of covered parking on site, with an elevator directly from the garage to all floors of the hotel. On arrival, you wouldn't think it was a hotel, but an office or apartment block with elevators on the ground floor. Once you step out of the elevators, you are met by such a well appointed area with lots of comfortable seating, nice decor and a good bar. The staff were wonderful. So welcoming and friendly. I gave an 8 instead of a 9, purely because we couldn't eat here. Not the hotel's fault, but presumably due to Covid restrictions. The rooms were beautiful, warm, cosy and quiet; nicely furnished and spacious; with a large bathroom and spotlessly clean. We had a TV in the lounge and in the bedroom. We had drinks in the lounge area whilst chatting to the barman and receptionist. They gave us lots of great tips where to eat and how to get to the restaurants. The hotel is situated on one side of a block and all restaurants are within walking distance around it. We had a nice meal and drinks at The Federal Taphouse, although service was terribly slow. We came to look around Penn State so it was the perfect location for us.

It's a shame the Restaurant wasn't open, but apart from that, I wouldn't change anything.

Great location and service. Very comfortable.

They really need to replace the elevators here. One didn’t work at all, and we got stuck in another. We would also have to wait exceptionally long times to get an elevator when it wasn’t very busy. The elevators would also shake a lot, which was somewhat disconcerting.

Graduate brings joy and happiness to any Penn Stater in the area.

A staff member walked into the room without knocking or announcing himself at all. This was an hour after our check out time but that is still inexcusable. The bare minimum is to at least knock and make sure a room is empty, ESPECIALLY when there is a Do Not Disturb sign outside of the door. My wife was changing and I was in the bathroom, which makes this extremely displeasing

This place is a gem! Located right near campus, it's clearly designed for families visiting the University. The rooms are spacious with places to sit and work. The amount of common area in the lobby is spectacular--a dining table that seats 12, a separate room with lounge chairs and gaming tables. There is a spacious breakfast room with snacks and beverages for sale. The front desk staff were personable and engaged. I'm proud that my dog is now displayed on the photo collection!

This trip was full of snafus. The staff were remarkable in their flexibility as our check-in times kept changing. I liked everything about Graduate State College

Location great for what we needed. Room ok but would have preferred a walk in shower rather than a shower over bath. As far as the breakfast options offered, I would like to have seen fresh fruit available and some breakfast cereals like muesli

As mentioned above, the breakfast options could have been wider.

I loved the location of the hotel and how close it was to everything. I also like how much room there was for parking. Also the fact that you could access the parking area without having to go outside was very nice.

There were only two negatives I had. One was I with the restaurant was open each night for dinner. The other was that the shower floor is a bit slippery and could be a potential safety hazard. I am actually in the printing business and we have access to non-slip material that could have designs printed on them then applied to the shower floors for decoration and safety.
