Halifax Inn

We loved that it was a intimate setting without a large crowd. The location worked for us right off the main road because we arrived at night. This main sound strange, but we liked the sound of the train that came by. We also liked that it was across the street from Shenandoah River. The no contact check in was very easy and convenient. The cleanliness was a big plus. It was cozy and comfortable and we felt safe. The coffee and muffins were a much needed and an added plus to get our day going with a smiles.

We did not like the weird odor that came from the sink when it was turned on. We did not like that someone from housekeeping came early in the morning and knocked on the door hours before check out time. It really disturbed our, otherwise, lovely rest.

I was very happy with the cleanliness of the room. I could tell the room was recently updated and everything I needed was right there. The price was excellent and I do intend to stay here again.

I had some trouble with the TV but that didn't matter much to me. My biggest issue was the road traffic. I definitely had trouble sleeping once the morning trucks and commuters were out and about. I'm guessing if the air conditioner had been running that would have helped but it was comfortable in the room and I did not need it.

The cleanliness of the room. The stand up shower was a nice surprise instead of a tub. The water was nice and hot and the water pressure was great. The bed was very comfortable. I would definitely stay there again.

My only complaint is there not being a curtain on the window with the shade. The outside light was so bright it shined in my face while I was trying to sleep. No other issues at all. Not enough of an issue not to stay again though.

From the second we opened the door to room 116 we were greeted with two beautiful, and comfortable queen beds, dressed in white bedding. From there we walked into a very spacious bathroom with lots of shelf and counter space. The TV was a nice size for the room, and the atmosphere around the inn was very quiet. I will absolutely be visiting again, in the future with my family! If you're looking for an affordable option in the Halifax area, you won't be disappointed here.

The only downfalls we ran into were 1) not a huge parking lot 2) our room was VERY hot the 1st night there, we had a portable air conditioner in the room, but it just didn't push air. 1st thing Saturday morning I ran into the owners (I think) he immediately sent his wife to go buy a fan for the room, which we thought was incredibly kind.

they need to put some hooks on the wall or the back of the bathroom door so people can hang towels. On two occasions, while showering, the water suddenly went from warm to ice-cold. So then, naturally , I turned the temperature up. A minute or two later I got scalded by hot water.

Very clean. What is complete is nice and they are obviously making an effort. When the whole place is finished, and fully operational staff-wise, would solidify a (pending) 4star rating. Would stay there again confident that the growing pains of a developing business will have been resolved. Handled a payment issue caused by their in-house computer system in a most accommodating way.

Location: Expected to be more riverfront - or at least river view. Setting is a not particularly scenic roadside w nothing around. No coffee maker in room and the closest coffee is 2 miles away.

No breakfast at this location. No coffee- reports are they will be getting Kuereg in. Needed checks on towels and shampoo/ conditioner/ body wash. (Stayed a full week).

I loved staying here while on our cross country trip. I usually stay at motels because it is easier with my dog but I am so happy I found this place! private entrance, super cozy and made you feel at home. My kids loved it too!

The location near my daughter who lives in Elizabethville, Pa. it was nice to be able to just drive a few minutes away and be able to visit my family. And yet still have my privacy at the Inn. I will be visiting them again and will recommend them to family that decide to go visit.

Traffic Monday morning was loud.
