Best Western Horizon Inn

REALLY GOOD CREAMED BEEF OVER BISCUITS. THIS WAS THE ONLY PLACE THAT HAD THIS AS PART OF IT FREE BREAKFAST MENU ALONG WITH THE TRADITIONAL EGGS, SAUSAGES, BISCUITS, CEREALS, COFFEE, ETC. THIS WAS THE DEAL BREAKER FOR MYSELF AND SPOUSE. CAME AS A TOTAL SURPRISE. IT WAS WELL MADE.. ROOM WAS EXCEPTIONALLY CLEAN. BED WAS COMFORTABLE. AIR/HEAT PUMP UNIT WAS NOT NOISY WHERE I COULD NOT SLEEP. I AM A LIGHT SLEEP EASILY AWAKEN BY LOUD NOISES. NO HOMELESS PERSONS HANGING AROUND EITHER NOR DRUG DEALERS. I AND WIFE FELT SAFE. AMPLE PARKING. SECURITY GUARDS PATROL PARKING AREAS. I WOULD DEFINITELY STAY HERE AGAIN.

DID NOT FOCUS ON IM-PERFECTIONS BUT BASIC NEEDS -

THe room was roomy and the bed very comfortable. I've stayed here a couple times before as they allow pets. Although their pet fee was $15 a couple years ago and now is it $25 which I think is a bit steep.

The carpets were dirty. My dogs spent most of their time sniffing the carpets so I could tell that other dogs had apparently peed, many times, on the carpets. Therefore, the carpets had not been cleaned, at least recently. This did not happen on my other visits. One of my dogs is a former K9 Narcotics dog so if she alerts on multiple scent spots on the carpets I trust her nose. I know carpets can't be cleaned after each pet visit, but I have to wonder what my $25 pet fee is going for if not to deep clean the room after pets have visited. I greatly prefer rooms without carpeting for this reason. Carpets are just nasty IMO. Hard flooring is more sanitary and much easier to keep clean.

The place is close to the highway so that was convenient when we left the next day. The facility was very clean, trash cans available everywhere. The room was clean, towels folded all cute, temperature was great inside the room. Bathroom clean, bed very comfortable. Complimentary breakfast included, delicious food. We traveled with our dog so it was very convenient that they are also pet friendly. Quiet area. Recommend. Great stay!

That sundries were not sold at front desk. There was a vending machine available at the hotel however it ran out of water. Just a bit upsetting since it was very hot outside. We ended up going to a gas station in town to get some water. But not a big issue to complain about. Just wish the vending machine had water because it was close to the room.

We like best western very much. Wherever we go we always try to find a best Western to stay at. It’s always clean and always meet all our needs.

In this particular stay our first room that we received the AC didn’t work but they were quick to rectify the situation.

I liked everything else about the place! My main criteria for a good hotel stay are that it's clean, comfortable and safe. This motel met all of those plus had extras. The room was comfortable and clean. It had a fridge and microwave, which were a nice surprise. The included breakfast was delicious and way more exciting than oranges and a mini box of cereal. Eggs, sausage, waffles, biscuits and gravy plus the usual continental breakfast stuff. The rooms are very well insulated! My room was right next to the pool where a dozen or so kids were playing and adults were having a little parking lot party, yet it was nice and quiet in the room. Comfy bed, comfy pillows, and again, clean! I would definitely stay again.

My only small complaint is specific to me being a traveler with mobility impairments. The bathroom had excellent grab bars, but the tub/ shower was still not very accessible. I would have had to lift the shower chair and then step over the side of the tub to sit on it safely, which I can't do. The shower head is also fixed to the wall rather than handheld. I just didn't take a shower for a couple of nights, no big deal, but something for other mobility impaired travelers to be aware of. I still highly recommend this place.

Great location, hotel is right next to Bears Diner. Ample enough parking. Clean and spacious bathroom, shower/tub. Spacious sink area. Fridge and micro in room. Felt safe enough for my family and I to stay. Delicious breakfast!

Beds were very uncomfortable. Pillows way too small. Rug in room needed a deep cleaning. Very uncomfortable small chairs that go with the table.

It was clean; plenty of towels & washcloths were in the room. The check in staff was excellent. A comfortable place to stay; Black Bear Diner is right beside the hotel, for ease of meals.

The property is showing some age, but has been kept up pretty well.

check in and checking out was easy the young lady that had checked us In was wonderful with things to do in the state we were in search for waterfall and she had wonderful information. Thank you!!

Shower had hairs on it we just washed it down..

Kayla was amazing at check-in. She handled phone calls as well as those waiting in person with a calm, professional demeanor. A+ for customer service! Room was large with comfy beds.

Breakfast could be improved. Hot food was cold. Good variety, though.

stayed here multiple times, always a comfortable place. it also has a Black Bear restaurant in the same parking lot

woman that checked me seemed annoyed and not wanting to be at work. it’s possible the person ahead of me caused her to be annoyed.
