Hampton Inn Columbus-International Airport

Breakfast was good and plentiful and well-tended. Housekeeping staff was friendly and did a great job. Hotel was somewhat standard for Hampton Inns but that was what I was looking for. Location on airport was excellent for my travel purposes. Overall, a very pleasant experience.

I was surprised that most of the front desk staff was not particularly friendly. They were polite, answered questions, and did their job, but without a lot of warmth and pleasantries, except for the man on duty the morning of Sunday, July 17, who was quite friendly. The housekeeping staff, the lady who stocked the breakfast bar, and an older gentleman who appeared to be some kind of assistant were very friendly and helpful--making the desk staff more notable. It wasn't a major complaint, however.

My husband and I traveled to a family funeral with our two eldest adult children. The desk clerk was very welcoming and answered all our questions. The room was exceptionally clean, had plenty of towels and had two queen beds plus a hide-a-bed, allowing our son and daughter to sleep very comfortably. This room accommodated us well. Our son had to get to the airport early so we were afraid he would not get breakfast. However, they prepared Grab-n-Go breakfasts just for those occasions. The breakfast was delicious for the rest of us who stayed and included SO many choices. The sweet lady working in the breakfast area was so very friendly and greeted us with a beautiful smile. She worked very diligently to keep all food and drinks stocked. We saw a housekeeper coming to work and she greeted us as well. Surpassed our expectations!! Well done!

The location was very convenient and the shuttle service was very fast. The breakfast was fine (scrambled eggs, turkey sausage, and waffles for the hot food) with good coffee. There was one (small) cart to take our luggage to our room.

A larger cart for luggage would be appreciated. The price was a bit high. They automatically enrolled me in the Hilton program without asking.

We needed something close to the airport. The beds were soft and the blankets warm. Staying at the hotel made an early flight less stressful and we didn’t risk any traffic jams or long commutes.

I wish that at a late in early out option that was cheaper. We were only needed to be in the room 6 hours. Since they are a airport hotel I would love to see them come up with an option like this.

The breakfast was great and had several choices. The coffee was excellent and I'm picky! The hotel is older but was immaculate, the cleanest hotel we've been in.

Being an older hotel it needs some upgrades, especially the bed linens. The sheets were paper thin and did not fit the depth of the more modern mattresses. In the morning we had to try to unscramble the sheets.

When I booked the room I requested a check in between 12am -1 am bc we supposed to land at 11:30pm. When we got to the hotel at 12:30 am we got informed that we were marked No Show😳. This is not what you want to here after been on and off airplanes for 24 hrs 😉.I asked them to look closely at my notes in reservation. The front desk respond was “ I didn’t read the notes” . We got the room without any problems. The beds were comfortable and the room was very clean .

I would say the price of $167

Nice room. Comfortable bed. Only stayed a brief night stay, but it was clean and acceptable.

There was some confusion at check in since I arrived after midnight, even though I called way ahead. However, the dear lady at the desk worked diligently until all the confusion was resolved. The AC was causing something white to form on the curtains above it.

Fantastic breakfast with wonderful variety. They even changed the variety everyday! They had fresh coffee & hot water out with tea bags everyday and free water. Computer available too!

The rooms need to lightened up color wise. Get rid of the dark red-orange wall paper in bedroom & get rid of the dark dingy looking carpet. Made the room a bit depressing & feel dirty.

I did NOT like the multiple miniature pillows that I had to use for sleeping. They may be decorative, but they're useless for a grown man to use for a good night's sleep. My head kept rolling off the stupid pillows. Frustrating!

Breakfast was good. Bathroom and shower was nice.

I disliked the “contoured” sheets. They didn’t fit the bed properly and kept coming off the mattress under normal use, leaving the bare mattress showing.
