The lodge was perfectly situated close to town and the AT is directly behind the lodge. Their hostel is also on the property. Absolutely stunning views and gorgeous facilities.

The innkeeper put the wrong name on my after hours check in folder. He responded very quickly so it really wasn't an issue but he continued to profusely apologize and followed up with apology texts. It was very odd because it seemed like a non issue easily forgotten. The next day I wasn't greeted by him at all and complete ignored although he went out of his way to interrupt a conversation I was having with another guest to invite him to a bbq. He did not apologize for that. To sum up he seemed to have an issue with me although I didn't know him at all and was nothing but friendly and polite.

The breakfast was a very good continental breakfast. The location was excellent; within walking distance of downtown Hot Springs.

I really liked how comfortable and historic the lodge felt. I felt very comfortable in all common areas of the lodge, including the dining room, library, sitting room, gardens and communal fire pit by the hostel. Everything was exceptionally clean and well cared for, which I appreciated.

This place is magical! I had no idea when I booked how gorgeous it would be! Our room, The Cardinal, was beautifully decorated, super cozy and offered an amazing view! The weeping willow tree and swing out front were icing on the cake!! We will most definitely be back!

The breakfast was ok. I expected a little more from a bed and breakfast than you get at a chain hotel. Otherwise, everything was wonderful!

The lodge was so quaint and peaceful. It's backed up to the woods and there is a hostel on the other side of the property for hikers. There was a fire every night and all are welcomed to hang out and socialize. Everyone I ran into was so friendly and kind. The bed was comfortable enough - better than some hotels I have stayed in and there were plenty of pillows on the bed. There was an extra blanket in the dresser. Water pressure was FANTASTIC! and water was hot! That's a huge plus for me. There were so many books and board games in the library for everyone to share. We took advantage of playing Scrabble one night and had a lot of fun.

The fridge for guests to use is a shared one in the dining room and about the size of a dorm fridge. I could not store my wine in there because of the size. I was under the impression there would be hot breakfast and it was more like a contential breakfast. You could call the lodge number if you needed some help but there wasn't someone there all the time which was frustrating at breakfast because most of the food was gone and there wasn't anywhere in town to eat a hot breakfast. (Coffee was cold and almost gone, half and half gone, milk for cereal gone, bananas gone)

I loved how casual and private it was. It felt like you were at home and were free to wander and explore. It was very welcoming and intimate. The entire lodge was very eclectic; every piece of furniture, every piece of decor was hand picked and antique. I could have spent at least one more week there looking through their large collection of books. The grounds were stunning and had a beautiful view of the mountains, areas to sit and relax, and steps away from hiking. Also, the staff were very friendly and accomodating (the chef/cook and another man who I presume was the owner) and made my stay that much better. Wished I could have stayed longer, three nights wasn't enough.

I guess the only thing I could think of was maybe having the breakfast served an hour earlier (6 or 6:30am) and to have more options (more than just cereal, toast/muffin, and yogurt). Although, there was banana bread one morning and it was delicious!

This was the perfect spot for 2 couples travelling to Hot Springs. We spent the day at the Hot Springs Spa then went to the lodge a little early for check in. They had our rooms keys and paperwork waiting for us. Spacious, clean rooms and the staff was wonderful. they recommended a few places to grab a bite and drink downtown. It was a short walk to to all that Hot Springs had to offer. We will definitely be returning to the Laughing Heart Lodge.

I loved the atmosphere. It was very peaceful and well taken care of which is exactly what I was looking for during my bday weekend.The staff was great and constantly checking to Mae sure everything was good . I also loved the views and outdoor spaces available to relax

I wish there was a coat rack in my room.

This is more for the owners than us, but the sign of Laughing Heart is literally falling apart (at the entrance) and that is sad welcoming indeed to such a sweet place.

Great cool, quiet, clean, and cozy place in the mountains. Hot Springs is somewhere in between the twilight zone, and Mayberry. Great friendly staff!

The Lodge is beautiful, cozy and calm. You want to spend some time just chilling in the porch, or the living room during the sunrise or sunset. Is super clean too. They accommodate vegan & gluten free options and we had a delicious breakfast with bread, fruits, cereal and granola with a locally roasted coffee.

The only minus is that the wood floor is a bit noisy so we could hear every time someone was walking up or down the stairs.
