The Pines Cottages

our cottage was excellent! my wife and I came for our anniversary. they set out wine, glasses, and a lovely display in the bed when we arrived. The amenities were more than ample. I was able to make a home cooked meal for my wife with the gas stove, oven, microwave, and included pots, pans, dishes, and other cookware. It was peaceful and comfortable, even with a little bit of road noise. Didn’t bother us at all.

The shower stall was tiny, but it is a “stall”, and was advertised that way. We did see a few black ants inside here and there, but it’s a cottage, in the woods, and it is the season.

They personalized our visit for our anniversary which was unexpected but a happy surprise. Also, they are located off one of the main roads making travel easier. Roku TV and Wifi worked with no issues. The bed was very comfortable and the atmosphere was cozy. They provided two heat sources in the room. I noticed a fan in the room most likely for summer months. They offer a bin for recyclables outside of the cabin. For a small cabin, there were plenty of seating options available other than the bed which was nice. It was nice to play a game of cards or a board game without sitting on the edge of the bed.

It was close to the highway so if you stayed in the cottage during the day you would hear the traffic. The shower was small in height, so if you enjoy raising your arms in the shower you would bump the top.

LOVED our stay at The Pines, charming cabin surrounded by trees was clean, fully-equipped kitchen for making meals and comfortable. Loved in the indoor fireplace and outdoor fire pit in cabin 6! Lots of room outside for our dog to explore. Felt like home for our 3 night stay! Beautiful property. We worked remotely while there, wifi was strong enough for two of us to do daily video calls- even outside at the picnic table! Loved being surrounded by nature while having to work. Rebecca at the front desk was exceptionally hospitable and kind, she made us feel like family and was super accomdating with our various requests. Location is fantastic, 10 min drive to Asheville and even closer to Weaverville (which we loved)! The guest book inside the cabin had great reccomendations, highly recommend The Twisted Laurel and Blue Mountain Pizza (both dog-friendly) and the WagBar (dog park that's also a bar!) just down the road. Big grocery store and CVS just down the road too. Wish we coulda stayed much longer! Highly recommend The Pines :)

We loved the entire cottage and property. The bed was very comfy and the kitchen was adorable! It was perfect for me and my boyfriend. The people working here were INCREDIBLY nice!! Thank y'all again :-) It was the perfect location... About 10 mins to downtown Asheville, but still with lots of good food places nearby. If you like snow cones - go to Pelican's... Only about 1 min down the road, and it's WORTH IT!!! Ingles is only about 4 mins away. It's a very convenient property! Cottage 10 had a little more privacy than 8 or 9, if you're choosing between those three. The road noise is not bad at all. Barely noticeable.

The shower was very small... Not for large people and there's no room for any shower stuff to be (or no room to shave for the ladies), so bring a caddy! I found one on Amazon for $8. :-)

super clean. SUPER CLEAN! that is so hard to find in a cottage type property ☀️squeaky clean and comfortable. my young son and I had a wonderful stay, felt safe and cared for. the staff Rebecca and Barb made us feel like we had friends in town that we could reference anytime. perfect location, quick beautiful drives to grove park and Biltmore. comfortable, clean, safe and friendly. awesome hot water, awesome water pressure! thank you !!

Soo cozy and comfortable to come back to after a concert at Rabbit Rabbit, private yet so close to everything! Definitely coming back and recommending friends :)

Either the TV was broken or the remotes needed new batteries but we compensated with our laptop so no biggie. Thing to note: I'm 5'10"and there are some low door ways within the cottage so some ducking may be required if you exceed 6'0"passing from room to room as well as being wary of light fixtures in some places. Main room has high ceilings as does the bathroom.

Fabulous. What a charming place! The staff was super helpful and left us wine, flowers, a candle and a card for our 10th anniversary! If you enjoy charming and simplistic, this is the place for you! If you need a Hilton style type of hotel, the charm may not be what you are looking for. For us, this was perfect. Full kitchen, cozy room with a sitting area, King size bed and desk, bathroom is small but that rainfall shower head was amazing! One rainy morning we had all the windows open, a candle lit and Christmas Hallmark on. It was perfection. Parking was easy and we didn't notice any noise from the highway it is right off. We were only 15ish minutes from Biltmore and downtown Asheville where we ate most of our meals.

This was a cute comfy cottage away from the hustle but close to everything. I you are looking for something other than a chain hotel, you like kind of a boho, hippe/shabby chic design you will love this little spot! We LOVED our cottage, it was so cute, the care and thought put into the renovation and decorating was evident. It was very clean, the staff were so friendly and helpful. Nice little kitchen to prep some coffee or snacks or even a meal and again everything in the kitchen was spotless! , The staff knew we were celebrating our Anniversary and even had a bottle of Biltmore wine, flowers, card, and candle waiting for us on the kitchen table! There was coffee and creamer and sweeteners provided as well. The grounds are wooded and rustic and accessorized with vintage lawn furnishings and decor. We took a walk around the grounds and checked out some of the other cabins and cottages and certainly plan to revisit and try out another of their options. While we did not have a pet to take they are pet friendly and the grounds had doggie waste bags and receptacles set up around the grounds. As an older (60ish) traveler this was a trip back to the kinds of places we visited on family vacations when I was a kid, as a lover of history I found this place to be a little gem!

It was a good location, near some hiking trails along the Blue Ridge Parkway and close to the City of Asheville. There is a very busy highway directly behind the cottages which can make for some excessive noise. King Size bed was very comfortable. Kitchen was very tight, but more than adequate.

Noise from the highway took some getting used to. Cabin is old and electrical wiring needs updating. Example: In kitchen one outlet serves all appliances, requiring constant juggling. The fuse box is indeed a fuse box with the old fashioned fuses.

We loved the location, easy travel for hiking, biking, and seeing downtown area. Loved being in a wooded area, could hear the birds. Could also hear the traffic from high way, but that wasn't a concern. Cabin had a porch, nice to relax after a long hiking day.

The bed! Large king size, with a camel hump in the middle. The floors also sloped making the bed feel like your going to roll off. A new mattress and lifting a side of the bed could help.
