Best Western Plus River Escape Sylva / Dillsboro

The view of the river was a bonus. It was a bit chilly the day we were in Dillsboro, but had it been warmer, we would have made full use of the comfortable chairs on our private second-story veranda (and/or the table and chairs on the hotel patio). What a beautiful location, perfect for our trip into the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Staff members were friendly, had a good breakfast the next morning, beds were very comfortable, great water pressure in the shower, excellent WiFi. Hope to return one day.

The lower part of the outside of the sliding glass door in our room had a little bit of rain dirt on it, which honestly did not affect our stay in the least. Everything else was spotless and neat. Can't think of anything we didn't like.

been visiting Dillsboro for 20 plus years. River Escape Best Western is my favorite place to stay. My family and friends have visited Dillsboro and stayed at your location. The river setting is spectacular. Please don't change anything. I will return. See ya soon. Now that I've just retired. The trout fishing is awesome. RICHARD TEETER

Like I said, the visit was perfect' awesome, and spectacular. Trust me! JUST ASK HARRISON FORD! ok, what was it that I didn't like? My visit was not long enough. Thats my fault.

Excellent Breakfast! The 3rd floor Balcony View of the river was awesome! Price was okay. Loved the Cook Out Area! Hot Tub & Pool! Creekside Oyster and Grill. El Patrons Mexican Cantina. Haywood Barbecue. The Steam Train Ride. Awesome Food on the Train also. Cherokee Native American Theater & Shopping the Mini Malls.

Just that mattress in room 311 was a bit uncomfortable. May need replaced with a new one. It could possibly be several years old? Price was okay, but we booked in through booking.com We should have called the front desk @ BW RIVERESCAPE Hotel, and possibly it would have been a little more economical?

Front desk and staff were extremely friendly and we were able to check in quickly. The rooms were clean as were the other facilities. Overall it was a nice experience and I would recommend this hotel to others.

Only problem I experienced was the shampoo, body wash, and conditioner were set up in the shower with a small pump and hardly anything came out. But it's a very minimal detail, it didn't ruin the stay by any means but I would recommend bringing your own to avoid this small problem.

great room with patio! great beds and pillows. bathroom large and handicapp assessed. easy checkin. nice lobby, etc. clean elevators. great drapery!!! Lydia at front desk was great!!!!

no soap, asked 2 times for refill. not stocked well on towels. had to request every other day. since no housekeeping comes in you need a few more trash bags and linens. never got shower soap. need better information on how to get items when staying a week or some kind of way to get items than tracking down cleaning team as calling front desk doesn’t get items. 3 handicapp spaces is not enough for a hotel this size, that is ridiculous!!!!

I really liked the location of this hotel. Beautiful view from the window in case you get into a room with a view of the river. Quiet location away from the highway. The rooms are clean, the furniture is not old, the bedding is clean. Breakfast doesn't offer a wide variety, but it was delicious. You can spend your vacation at this hotel spending time fishing, swimming in the pool or river, the rafting point is located across the river. Nearby there is a park and a small, beautiful town of Silva.

I didn't like the noise of the ice cooler in the hallway on the third floor. Vibrations and noise were transmitted to our room and interfered with a restful sleep. There were also no slippers in the room.

The free breakfast was good. Loved the free coffee in the lobby. Loved sitting out on the porch by the river. We bought ice cream and ate it on the porch. It was very relaxing and comfortable. We meet up with family and had a great visit. relaxing on the porch and then in the lobby with hot coffee and hot chocolate.

We didn't know about the firepit until the next morning. We could have used it because it got cold last night.

Room was large and comfortable. Bed was actually plush and relaxing. Mini fridge was a plus. Breakfast was decent with hot & cold selections. Specialty coffee machine in food area was a nice touch and available 24/7 Location is pretty secluded with riverfront Adirondack seating.

The only complaint was heavy truck noise from the other side of the river (only during daylight hours)

This place was excellent! Amazing staff, great breakfast, wonderful views, and good size suites! I was very impressed by our stay here and plan on coming to this hotel for our yearly vacation again next year. Plus they have direct tv instead of those usual "hotel tv channels" which made for a much more enjoyable stay.

However with all of that being said, if you are booking through booking.com, you need to call the hotel directly for any date changes instead of changing it through booking.com. I changed the dates on booking.com for our hotel about 2 weeks before our vacation and when we arrived the dates hadn't been updated in the hotel system and our room wasn't ready. We had to get a different room for the first night because of this, check out and wait a few hours to check back in.

We got to the hotel a little before sunset but was still able to enjoy the relaxing sounds and beauty of the river. It was nice to chill outdoors by the river after driving all day. We just needed a place to stay the night before heading out the next morning to our destination in Tennessee in the Smokey Mountains.

When first going into the room, it had a little musty smell. However, I travel with my essential oil diffusor and ran that for my stay. Other than that, we had no complaints!
