Hotel Silver Spring

It’s a great value for the money. This is an older hotel, but it is in a good shape, especially compared with other hotels at this price point. The location is good if you need to travel to DC and there are many shops and restaurants nearby. The rooms have almost everything you need and are kept reasonably clean, although housekeeping won’t come to your room unless you request it (it’s becoming the norm in the US)

The room keys are very sensitive and easily get deactivated if you put them with your phone or wallet. The walls are somewhat thin and you can hear other guests talking loudly or listening to music. While the staff is usually friendly, they tend to be very busy, so you might have to wait if you want to talk to someone at the front desk.

The location was amazing, in the middle of the city, walking distance to shops and the subway that took us to DC in less than 20 minutes. The hotel was very clean and the room was HUGE! Amazing staff too Over all a great experience.

No breakfast, no laundry facilities(not even close by), no microwave in the room. Everything was very outdated and in need of renovations, it says 4 star here but I am not sure it is correct. The walls were paper thin, I could hear the people in the next room watch TV and talk.

The bed was very comfortable and the room was clean. Overall it was quiet and restful. The location was great, with all sorts of restaurants within walking distance. It was also only a block from the medical office where we had a procedure scheduled for the next day.

The HVAC would not warm up the room on a wet and cool night. The windows were cloudy; either needing to be cleaned or replaced. The hotel restaurants were not open, so it seemed a bit deserted. The bathroom was rather small (old style hotel, but well maintained) and the toilet was a loud pressure flush type.

Hotel is easy to get to and valet service greatly appreciated. Overall, pretty quiet and the bed was very comfortable especially with two pillows for each of us. The room was initially too warm but maintenance showed up right away and fixed the problem. The staff we did meet was outstanding. Very pleasant and efficient.

The building is older and the bathrooms have not been updated maybe ever. When we arrived, we were advised that cleaning service, beds and fresh towels would happened only if we requested. Since we were only there a few days not a problem but also not particularly appreciated.

The room was comfortable, no view. The location was excellent with easy access to many shops and eateries. The ladies at the desk were very courteos nad friendly, even though they shared that they had not been working there for long.

The absence of a resturant meant that we had to go outside the property to find food, and we were so tired and the weather was rainy and windy. It would have been perfect to eat there at the hotel after checking in.

The room was perfect, the view was breathtaking, and the staff was hospitable and kind. I am very safe here and had a good night's sleep. All in all, I feel that I received a double value if that makes sense. I got a double night's sleep. The privilege of the luxurious sheets, the perfect weight of the blanket, the perfect climate, a generous desk, and ample workspace save me time. I am grateful for the hospitality and consideration I experienced here and recommend the Hilton as a home away from home to all travelers.

I cannot think of anything that I did not like. The Hilton has always been an establishment of above-and-beyond hospitality. Each facet of my stay was perfect. Therefore, it is impossible to say anything negative about my visit here. I appreciate the Hilton very much and suggest staying here above other hotels in Silver Spring wholeheartedly.

Hotel staff was very friendly, hotel was clean and very comfortable

Parking is valet only. I had no issues with the valet parking but personally don’t like having no choice in the matter. Especially if the hotel isn’t going to be responsible for anything that happens to my vehicle while I’m not operating it

parking garage - although you had to pay - was there on site and the place was right across the street from the place we went to see a concert which was good because it was cold out. Staff was nice.

the kitchen - restaurant wasn’t open and we didn’t have dinner before the concert or after so no room service. went to the little food area behind the desk and spent over $40 in snacks - disappointed

I liked that it was very comfortable and quiet. My husband and I walked everywhere we wanted to go because out was close. The night life is beautiful!!!! The location is great if you like the city. This was our second time at this hotel, we really enjoyed our stay!

I didn't like that I couldn't take a hot steamy shower without the fire alarm going off. We stayed in room 426, it had 2 full bathrooms with detectors over both doors . We called the front desk twice and they didn't turn off the alarm until the second call. That alarm was going off for 45 minutes!!!!!!

Honestly really enjoyed the hotel and staff. Was there between apartment leasing periods as they are close to my child's school. They were wonderful in style and services. Even extended my stay...Great value!
