Carousel Resort Hotel and Condominiums

Helpful and prompt responses from staff to get my balcony door open. Beautiful beach location and great service and food and drinks at the outdoor bar. Room was clean and well stocked.

My room was VERY damp. When I got in the bed the sheets were damp and cool so it felt sticky and the towels neatly hung in the bathroom were also damp. Water droplets were forming on the bathroom ceiling. I think the room needs a dehumidifier. Room 351. I must say that my slightly wrinkled clothes that I hung in the closet got nice and straight (though damp) from the room’s high humidity.

I like that my kids and I feel safe there. We absolutely love Nigel! He is very entertaining and we love seeing him every visit

I was disappointed that I paid for an atrium room because we come every year and my kids love the ice skating show. I tried to surprise them with a room to overlook the show, and they didn't have any. I would have never paid money for that room if i knew the shows were no longer there. The outside bar menu changed, which was disappointing because it's nice to come from the beach all sandy eat and go back to the beach without showering or cleaning up.

Everything was right there. We didn’t have to venture out anywhere

The bartender at the tsunami bar outside was very rude. Long curly brown haired girl. Rude enough to keep a party of 6 from ordering from there. The bath tub in our room had two rather large rust/corrosive areas in it. Otherwise happy with the Carousel.

Everything is there, if it rained there’s two game rooms with a ticket cashing statement and claw games, a coffee/snack bar, restaurant/bar inside and out, an indoor pool with the hot tub right next to in, and out door pool with a kiddie pool area. The staff were all super friendly, easy to ask for an extra coffee pack, or where to go for something specific and they kept the property well maintained.

Im used to walking in the morning and I would walk to the nearby dunkin but do not feel as comfortable walking sidewalks. The beachfront is nice, but I found out I’m a boardwalk person. We had to walk through the atrium to get to pools/beach, no big deal normally, but there was a conference with people in business suits going on. The conference also caused some of the amenities to be closed temporarily.

The hotel was family orientend. The staff and guest were all friendly and respectful. Rooms were clean. Large coffee pot. Bring your own filters and coffee stuff. They have some if you like hotel coffee. Starbucks coffee sold there but Dunkin Doughnuts less then 2blocks. Food lion across the street. Many palces to walk to shop or eat. Parking was ample. The pool was large never felt overcrowded. The beach was close and the pirate ship was a nice little playground area for the kids. The food on site was good. The pool had towels, there were also beach chairs to borrow if you needed them. The rooms were large. I rented 3 rooms Two Ocean view 4th floor and view was great. One patio room 1st floot would suggest and end one if you have small children. The grandchildren 2,3,4,&5 loved it and kept saying this is amazing, fun, and lots of fun!! Family friendly.

The beds were very hard for me. I personally wouldn't be able to stay again because of that reason. I even tried to sleep on the couch and it didn't work out. I would have liked to have know what tolietries were available at the front desk the room had soap and shampoo, tissues, toliet paper. The elevator is small and there is only one. I can't imagine the wait to get your things to your room when it is summer. There are stairs but depending on your floor that might be quite a work out! The patio room was right at the pool gate rm 160 if you have older kids this might be a great room but could be noisey during summer?

The location of the resort was perfect. We loved the convenience of so many amenities right at the resort. The staff was wonderful. The ice skating show was exceptional.

When booking there was no option of selecting the location of the room. Our patio room was directly across from the bar and there was loud music playing until 9:00 p.m. at night. There was drunks carrying on conversation well after 10:00 p.m. and it was nearly impossible to get our children settled and to sleep. Also, the indoor pool and whirlpool were closed during the day time for cleaning at hours they were listed to be open. After a long ride to the resort the outdoor pool was closed and the indoor pool was closed for cleaning so our children were unable to swim. At the end of the hotels private path and entrance to the beach the outdoor trash can was overflowing and we had to walk through trash to get to the shoreline.

the resort has many amenities, indoor and outdoor pools, ice skating rink, restaurants, fire pits outside, playground, Starbucks coffee sold in the atrium. also a great beach. the location is excellent, can walk to movie theater, Crabcake Factory and many stores and restaurants.

I had an ocean front room with a balcony, which was fabulous. the room itself was just okay. the beds were fine, but the bathroom was extremely dated and really needed a facelift. also there was no safe in the room, which most nice hotels do have. The “kitchenette “ did have a small fridge, microwave and coffee maker, but no dishes or utensils. it would have been good for the hotel to mention that in their room description. also the TV did offer a lot of channels, but no movies. Despite these shortcomings I had a wonderful time at the Carousel and definitely want to go back.

From the moment we got there, it was easy check in. Labor Day weekend and it was packed, but somehow it didn’t seem crowded at all. I loved the ambiance, the food was good. Felt like we were somewhere in the tropics. Enjoyed everything about vacationing there was . It was a great choice for us. Such a beautiful hotel!

The outdoor pool too was way too small. Would be so much better if they made it bigger. Indoor pool area lacks ventilation. The chlorine is so strong it burns your eyes and you can’t enjoy or relax for too long. The breakfast buffet was not worth $19 per person, I’ve had more choices and better food at hotels that served complimentary breakfast. If you charge $19 per person there better be something more than bacon eggs and waffles and biscuits with gravy. Just saying. The food was very tasty though!

It's an all in one facility and very family oriented! You barely have to leave the resort because it's right on the beach, it has several restaurants onsite, ice skating rink on site, arcade and other kid and family friendly activities onsite, ice cream and snack bar onsite, and so much more! We only leave to go to the grocery store right across the street, to go to new restaurants, and to go to the boardwalk which is only a 20 minute drive away. Everything is conveniently located onsite or within a walking distance or short drive!

Everything was in good working order and condition, no complaints!

The family enjoyed the ice rink, game rooms and indoor pool the best. The children, all under the age of 7, enjoyed the animals brought in by the outside vendor also.

The bathrooms need updating. They were worn and showed their age. The bathtub was also very slippery and one child fell when getting in. Even considering it is a resort area and high season, the prices in the restaurant and other eateries were high. $92 for lunch for 3 adults and 3 children eating hamburgers and sandwiches was too high.
