Hilton Garden Inn West Monroe

I liked the size of the room and the comfort of the beds.

That our housekeeper was rude and refused us towels, twice. She would take our used towels but wouldn't give us fresh ones. She told us that she would bring us fresh towels and never did but was in the hallway running and playing with another housekeeper.

didn’t like that we had to pay for a hot breakfast.. most hotels have free breakfast included, although the breakfast was good, didn’t think we would have to spend $30 just on breakfast 🙁 bit much, in my opinion..

I understand we are in a pandemic. Unfortunately, breakfast wasn't up to standard. I was told it was a grab and go. With that being said, it met the expectations.

I can't say I didn't like it. Just a few things with the room weren't to expectations. The light in the entry of the room did not work, the bathroom sink didn't drain as it should and the refridgerator did not seal like it is suppose to. I didn't see the Front Desk clerk at the front desk on my way out to let her know of these issues.

Location

We had three "small" pillows on the bed. We were so tired after attending our event, when we got to our room we called the front desk to send for more pillows but didn't get an answer. Since we were only there for one night, we just dealt with it.

We asked for first floor and got 4th floor and no carts were available to carry our stuff to the room at 1:30 in the morning. Found that to be a little peculiar but other than that it was great. Staff was extremely friendly.

No luggage carts available when we got there at 1:30am. Also, several people taking up 5-7 parking spots when they could have parked across the street in an empty lot. But that’s just rude people and I don’t hold against the hotel.

Great bed, very comfortable. The bed height was perfect. Not to high, like alot of Hotel beds.

Chair and ottoman were very worn, tub surface was chipped. Tub needed a soap dish and another grab bar.

Location is great. Staff was very courteous.

Telephone in room did not work. Had to walk to front desk to extra towel. No extra towels were available. Bar and restaurant is listed as staying open until 10 but both closed at 8 p.m.

the faculty was very nice and the facility was clean, and the bed was very comfortable. i really enjoyed the surrounding business and the next time i book a room in Monroe I will be back

Very clean and friendly!

The breakfast options were very limited. I get Covid and the need to offer pre-packaged items, but the variety was lacking. Consider adding milk, juice, cereal options, oatmeal, danishes, muffins, breakfast sandwiches (you had them for purchase, why not just make them part of the breakfast bar?) All of these item come in individual packaging. Salt and pepper packets would have been nice since you offered boiled eggs. Thank you for what you did offer.

The people were absolutely lovely.

The water from the faucet looked dirty & smelled. I wish they had real glasses instead of only paper cups. Complimentary bottles of water would’ve been nice.
