Residence Inn by Marriott Monroe

THE FRONT DESK STAFF THAT WAS THERE WHEN I CHECKED IN WHERE SO ENGAGING AND THEY MADE ME FEEL LIKE I HAVE KNOWN THEM EVEN THOUGH I HADN'T MET THEM BEFORE. I HAD THE PLEASURE OF SEEING A MAINTENANCE WORKER 2 DAYS IN A ROW AS I WAS LEAVING FOR WORK EACH DAY, AND HE WAS SO VERY POLITE!! THAT SPEAKS VOLUMES TO ME.

I COULD SIT HERE AND PROBABLY THINK OF MANY THINGS, HOWEVER, I JUST CAN'T MENTION THOSE THINGS. I WAS JUST SO THANKFUL TO HAVE A ROOM WHERE I COULD REST AFTER A LONG DAY OF WORKING. I KNOW THAT STAFF IS STRETCHED THIN DUE TO INDIVIDUALS NOT WANTING TO RETURN TO WORK. SO UNDER THE CURRENT CONDITIONS THE STAY WAS VERY NICE. I THINK THAT GUEST SHOULD BE REMINDED TO RETURN LUGGAGE CARTS TO THE FIRST FLOOR LEVEL, I DID HAVE PROBLEMS WITH THAT AND HAD TO MAKE MULTIPLE TRIPS TO GET MY THINGS TO MY ROOM.

The entire visit was nice. The breakfast was excellent and the staff extremely nice and courteous. It really exceeded our expectations and the space was enough for me and my children to be comfortable.

Everything was very clean except the mattress cover on the pull out couch. The phone also didn't work in our room.

staff was very compassionate and attentive, the illusion of luxury, Well thought out floor plans, clean considering the weather COVID.

Concerns:More luxury need more safety 🔥 During our stays guess set off fire alarm off in the middle of the night. (if a guess fails to turn on the vent over the range while cooking it can ruin your night.) Didn’t see a fire extinguisher 🧯 Just saying if your going to have a stove top with pots and pans.........🤔 🤷‍♀️ Got duped into a queen room instead of the king I reserved. (Over heard staff giving Frequent guest preferential favor. ) 🛌 I prefer a firm mattress but this was as hard as a brick. (Had to use a mattress topper from home.) 🚽 toilet Had to use the plunger multiple times because bathroom toilet would not flush properly.

The breakfast was very good !!

The hallways looked terrible with all of the wallpaper falling off . I know it is under construction but it would look better if they just pulled the wall paper down , rather than it being all curled ip. We almost didn’t stay . But the room was very nice so we did

the rooms were big and clean. when I checked in I was out into a room with broken ac, but I called front desk agent and she immediately put me into another room. breakfast was wonderful, and most importantly it’s a quiet and safe property!

I have no complaints about this property

Easy access. Nice rooms. Nice staff

Didn’t know it was right next to a railroad track that had consistent trains or a busy intersection. Would have been nice to know that before booking.
