La Quinta by Wyndham Lexington South / Hamburg

The room was so gorgeous! I'm a traveling allied health professional and after this stay I am definitely going to look into similar places wherever I land. If La Quinta delivers like this and offers 3 months stay I may be a customer for life! So beyond what I had expected. I tried to book a suite because I was on my way thru with my son and dad and we all have different sleep patterns and schedules and I was hoping the additional space would make the layover smoother. It ended up just being my father and myself.

Packing up the cars took several hours longer than expected and we didn't arrive till well after midnight. Sore and exhausted we were anxious to get to our rooms. There were computer problems and the sweet lady at the desk was doing her best with another customer and then with us. It made check in take longer than necessary, I know some places offer remote check in and you can even use your phone to access your room, nice option for late check ins.

The breakfast was well supplied with plenty of hot coffee and hot breakfast options. The lobby was attractive and fresh. Our room was spacious and well appointed. All of furniture and window coverings were in good shape and the carpet was clean. The bathroom was very nice as well.

I always appreciate healthy breakfast options. Vanilla or Plain Yogurt with honey packets for sweetening. Good fruit, apples, bananas. Some granola and nuts and plain Oatmeal, either plain packets or a pot of cooked Oatmeal that is not runny. I know some of these suggestions are not necessarily the most popular items but I think your clientele would be even a little broader if such things were offered.

The room was spacious and clean. My dogs always are on the hunt for things left behind and found nothing. That was a good thing and importantly showed the thoroughness of their staff. Bravo! Had room for dog kennel and could still move around it easily. The desk person was wonderful! I requested a first floor room and got it. Worked better for the dogs. The breakfast was adequate. The staff kept it stocked. Would suggest an option of plain yogurt(1 or 2) for those who do not eat sweetened foods. Overall the location was excellent. Not on Man of War but easy access to it and its activities if you want them. Quiet area to rest and walk dogs, felt safe.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The pool was warm and open till 11. That was perfect for our restless little kids who had been cooped up in the car for hours in traffic jams that added 3 hours to our commute. If the pool closed at 10 we wouldn’t have been able to get their energy out. The room was clean and spacious and I loved that the bath and toilet were in a separate room from the sink.

The tile molding on the floor popped off and looked hastily and cheaply done. the molding around the bathtub needs replacing and has mold. The wallpaper was peeling off the walls in the breakfast area. The elevator is smaller and sounds old when you’re riding it.

Location and even though it may be a bit older overall is was very clean. Elevators are slow and not the cleanest but the room and bathroom were very clean which was my main concern. Quite too. I read one review about a gentleman’s club next door, it’s not next door there is a another property in between and u you wouldn’t even know it was there if you didn’t see the sign or were looking for it. I was there on a Saturday night, absolutely no problem.

Our experience with this hotel was wonderful from the moment we checked-in. The staff that checked us in was very helpful and had a great positive attitude. Two older couples checked in before us. This staff member was so patient with both couples. He was never frustrated with their questions or requests. He even walked from behind the counter to give them a mini tour of the breakfast area, elevators and location of the complimentary cookies/drinks. He did not rush through their check-in because there were others checking in behind them. Then he gave us the same respect and courtesy as the older couples. We travel with our dogs. The check-in staff made us feel very comfortable about having our dogs with us. Great check-in experience from start to finish with him. Our room was very nice and extremely clean. It was a large room. We had room for our dog kennel with no space issues. The bed was comfortable. Our overall experience with this hotel was wonderful. We will definitely stay here again if our jouney brings us back this way. I'm just sorry we cannot remember the check-in staffs name. He was so great he deserves mentioning him by name.

The staff was phenomenal. My daughter left her pillow at the hotel. That pillow is the world to her. It has a picture of her kitty on it. That kitty passed away last year, so she loves that cat pillow. It's her cat that she can remember, love and hug when she wants too. Thank you to the staff who save the pillow for us and keeping it safe for her. You'll never know how much it meant to a little 8 year old. We are sooo thankful!

Nothing not to like. It was a great hotel.

Good size room, air was on and comfortable. Bed and pillows were okay. Shower had good pressure and hot water. Nice counter and mirrors. Breakfast was just adequate. Area clean.

The light by the bed would not turn on at first. We tried different wall switches. Finally wiggled the switch on the light and it worked. Refrigerator freezer needs defrosting. Dove products in bathroom were nice but hard to extract from the small bottles.

Good beds & bedding. Heat & A/C worked perfectly. Good lighting. Very good breakfast amenity and attentive and friendly attendant. Very good housekeeping service and very friendly. Above average wi-fi connectivity which usvvery important. Loved turning on the shower and having hot water in seconds and able to shower quickly.

Lack of noise reduction from unit above. The constant slamming of the exit door in the mornings against a rock guests' used to keep the door from locking.

I liked that the staff was warm and welcoming and the room was clean and comfortable. this is a pet friendly hotel so you can expect to hear other guests dogs occasionally. This wasn't our first stay at this location and will be our normal stop on our way to our vacation spot.

nothing that I can complain about, this hotel is pet friendly and as a dog owner I expected to have some noise from other guests dogs but it was minimal.
