Cobblestone Inn & Suites - Marquette

Had to change reservation a few weeks back due to needing to bring my pet. Staff was very accodating on the phone and while I was on-site. Perhaps one of the most accomodating and pleasant staff's I ever encountered. Breakfast was always ready nearly 30 minutes before advertized. This was great for me as I needed to leave before the advertized time and I was able to partake in this. Big thumbs up!!!

Did not realize that the train came by several times during the night and early morning. Wasn't quite on the level of "My Cousin Vinny" but it did wake me up a few times. My room was also across from the Caseys Gas Station. Thus the lights from the station lit up my room. The sheers did not lend themselves to block out the light. Room got a little warm on one of the nights when that section of the town lost power for about 4 hours.

The hotel was very nice - clean and comfortable. We appreciated having laundry facilities available too. Breakfast was satisfactory. It was very nice to walk across the street and up to the lookout to see the Mississippi River. Beautiful location. It was also a perfect location to visit some of the local sites. We enjoyed driving along the Scenic River Byway.

We did not realize (did not see any mention on the website) that this hotel is immediately adjacent to the railroad tracks and that trains run nearly all night long - blowing their whistles incessantly (I think they finally stopped around 4am). The ear plugs provided helped somewhat - I didn't use them the first night and could not sleep at all. The second night I did use them and slept pretty well. Probably better to book a hotel in Prairie du Chien across the bridge.

Location was easy access and set up. Selection and quality of food was appropriate for an Inn. We liked it. Food temp of hot and cold good. Staff availability to replenish food, drink and cleanup was excellent.

We did not have any dislikes. If we had to find something we didn't enjoy, it would be the parking, but still we didn't have any problems accessing the parking lot. Parking lot in and out was just a matter of getting use to the streets of Marquette.

Oh the beauty of 302 for our autistic daughter…it’s quiet and a separate room for her to decompress is invaluable. The river/storm/barge watching/location to shops/winery is stellar!

Trains/motorcycles feel like they’re coming right through the room! Earplugs are appreciated. The couch in 302 looks/feels tired. Not a biggie but no cots…the extra/high quality pillows were awesome. Breakfast was awesome too. But no cheese?! ☺️

Although it was not disturbing to us, I think the guests should know that the hotel is near the train tracks. The hotel provides ear plugs, which I found awesome, although we did not use them. For breakfast, I liked the option of cream cheese and boiled eggs (as opposed to those fake eggs served everywhere else). Beds and pillows were very comfy and cozy. The room was super clean squeaky clean (this is what we always look for).

The location was convenient and overall the facility was clean and well-kept. Brandon - the night desk clerk - was very friendly and accommodating :)

The cost...traveling is becoming more and more expensive. It seems as if many hotels raise their prices during peak tourist season or during special events :(

Our room faced the river which was great however what we did not know was that train tracks are within a block of the hotel. Unfortunately the train traffic was constant and apparently they stop frequently in town. It was incredibly loud in our room.

The hotel was fabulous! The room was a nice size and very clean....the entire hotel was clean. They have a walkway leading up the bluff to a covered area that looks out over the Mississippi River that you can sit and relax at.

The only downside was that the railroad tracks are very near to the hotel and the train goes by all night long. They do provide you with earplugs.....I slept soundly without even using them; my sister, however, woke throughout the night (she opted not to use the earplugs). I'm guessing a room on the backside (facing the bluff) would be most helpful to those that may be sensitive to noise.

This newer hotel is conveniently located very near to two state parks and a riverboat casino. The staff was accommodating and seemed very conscientious about cleaning. This is a good place for couples or those who don’t need the additional amenity of a pool. Easy access off the bridge/road.

This hotel is located along a busy railroad track. The first night we heard two trains go through while blowing their whistles. (It was very loud) The remaining nights, we heard trains rumbling through but no whistles woke us up. We were told that the trains are not supposed to blow their whistles after 11:00 pm.

Beds were comfortable, breakfast was good and shower pressure was very good! Casino was a 2 block walk....

There were trains quite often and the parking options on property were NONE!! Also thought it was a little overpriced for those options.
