Extended Stay America Suites - Chicago - Midway

I was sceptical at 1st for the mixed reviews. Hotel staff was exceptional! Hotel it self was clean, room was clean with a fridge, stove, free internet, all up to date programming, bed comfortable. You have to ask for dishes if you need them and more pillows.I got them with no problem. Vending machine, Laundry room if you need to wash. Breakfast is definitely grab and go. Coffee, oatmeal, granola bars, and muffins. BEST location to EVERYTHING!!! Malls, AMC dining, fine dining, car wash few steps and gas. Dollar General, Dollar Tree, and Best Buy. Fast food McDonald, burger king, subway, and a great Chinese buffet called the Volcano. Airport is a 15 min drive. Car would be safe. Area safe. Other guest a little sketchy, but mind their own business and don't bother you at all! BUDGET friendly if you book through here. Thank you for the GREAT stay!! Would stay again. 30 mins to downtown. Parking at the airport available in Economy parking for $15 then free shuttle over to subway.

I absolutely loved Madeline (with piercings on her face) I call her Ms Fancy lol She made the stay even better!!!!

Two things I did not like were the sink in the bathroom leaked onto the sink so I had to place towels so water didn’t everywhere and also the refrigerator doors were awkward, they should really opening towards the door not away. Overall, not a big deal but that’s what I didn’t like

The front desk folks were very friendly, and polite. They also accommodated my room change without causing any fuss at all. It was very quiet at night! My room had two sets of windows which was nice for having a little sunshine in the room. No overhead lighting but there were tons of lamps for lighting.

Everything was lovely

The location was near a shop mall and restaurants, which was a huge plus. The room and bed were very comfortable. Being that I was traveling alone, my room was very close to the elevator, which made me feel very safe, having my room close to an exit. The staff and other guess where very friendly.

Nothing.

Other than the carpet, the room was very nice and comfortable. Melinda, the clerk on the front desk performed her duties with such grace! She handled several calls as I waited for my ride, for my departure, almost simultaneously! She was calm, cool and collected. A very high note to return home on. Would consider staying there again!

The only drawback was the carpet in my room. It needs to be cleaned or replaced. When I went over to look out the window, there was a big reddish spot on the floor . Now, they may feel that it's out of the way, being by a large chair, but I've learned to look closely at my hotel room. This caused me to look very closely at the carpet. It could use a good cleaning to me!

Hotel location was in reasonable distance from airport & shopping stores which my wife preferred. And the hotel staff was very friendly & warm towards us.

A hot breakfast would of been appreciated.

I always enjoy my stay at extended stay...I enjoy the home like stay there...fridge, stove , clean room ...the comfort of home 🙂

As of now...I can't say what I didn't like...the price was great 👍🏽

We loved the room setup with the kitchen as its own separate area. I also liked being able to open the window.

The temperature in the room was 60 when we arrived. That's a little colder than we like.

The front desk clerk was amazing..She was very helpful at check in and though out our stay..

Not much seating outside to enjoy the outside view..

I love the kitchenette. I can actually prepare my own meals. The refrigerator is a basic household size and the stove is electric plus there's a microwave perfect for reheating those leftovers.

The only downer is the toilet was clogged. It wouldn't flush properly. That was very annoying. The flush wasn't powerful at all my entire stay.
