Holua Resort

Grounds are beautiful. Its a resort room, full kitchen, large living room, large balcony, pool we went to was Nice. It was my birthday n our anniversary, I let them know n there was a bday balloon and treats. That was so very awesome...that gets a 10!

Wasn't aware of how the parking was. I should of looked into. There is covered parking thats nice, but its far from most rooms. So you either call a team member to get you in cart, n then feel obligated to tip- or you walk alot. We for sure took cart to room with all our stuff n tipped. Again coming back from store one day n when we cked out. We didn't have lots of cash on us- so for every other outing we walked to car. Not the worst thing.

The beautiful and convenient location, the grounds, couldn't hear any noise from neighbors, TONS of space to spread out in the unit, helpfulness of the staff....all made our family of 4 enjoy our stay very much!!! Bonus: washer/dryer I didn't think I would need...but did!!

The unit is clearly not new. As I've experienced with all Beach rentals, they get a lot of wear and tear and frequently need maintenance. Same was true here and walkway outside front door needed cleaning.

We rented a 2-bedroom apartment which was very spacious and had a well equipped kitchen, so we could make breakfast or other meals if we wished. It was located very close (a few minutes walk) to the tours we booked such as kayaking, snorkelling and swimming with manta rays. There were six pools to choose from and a barbecue area just outside. There is a supermarket and restaurants about a mile away.

It needed a few little repairs, like the plug in one of the wash basins wasn't working and one of the taps was dripping slightly. Not big problems, but a little annoying.

Beautiful surroundings, location and close to water and golf. The parking is terrific and units are of good size with laundry facilities. The property is dated, yet a splendid place to stay.

Property needs updating with attention to outside details. Water features were down for most areas and need to be cleaned. Exterior painting is needed yet the colors are tastefully done. Stairs to the upper units need some attention along with creaking floors that are easily heard when staying in the lower units.

location-easy access without being in the middle of the main activity area of Kailua-Kona-just a beautiful short drive away. Loved the unit we were in had a wonderful lanai to enjoy the sunrise daily with our coffee and right next to pool. Would definitely recommend and look forward to returning!!

The day after we arrived the pool next to our unit needed exterior plumbing repair, which took a few days to repair and the pool was closed. There are multiple pools though and it was a short walk to the next closest pool. Not something that is predictable for the company nor the guests and really wasn’t an issue. It was fixed within four days and we were able to enjoy it again before we left.

The resort is a natural-closed area and full of grass and flowers. The environment is pretty good and you may find some cute birds here. We stayed for 5 nights and it was so quite at night and there was no any noise unlike hotels we stayed at other places. The room has everything we needed, including all kinds of cutlery, dish washer, washer and dryer. The staffs here were also nice and kind.

After we parked we had to carry few luggages and heavy bags and walked few minutes to our place. I think it would be better if there are trolleys provided.

We loved the really large rooms with a convenient layout. Staff accommodated our family group of 4 different rooms by grouping us together This made it easy for pool time and family meetups. Location is good for Kona, Keahou, Captain Cook and much of Kona activities.

Property is showing some wear and needs a bit of TLC/upgrades.

The apartment was huge for 4 people. Very comfortable to use. Comfortable beds. Kitchen equipped with everything you need. Needs a little renovation as it's a bit old-fashioned, but that's okay Very nice and helpful staff. There is no access to the beach and you actually need a car to go anywhere. But there are swimming pools, I think 6... Convenient parking.

Gorgeous grounds. Tons of pool options. Huge, spacious, condo with 3 bathrooms and 3 bedrooms! We got the option with one king and two twins. The one small little bonus room upstairs (that isn't advertised) isn't technically classified as a bedroom because the windows don't meet code for a "bedroom" but it has a closet, two chairs, and small table with lamp. We ran off to Walmart and purchased an intex inflatable twin size mattress and pump for less than $20 and my 9 year old was able to have his own room, rather than using the pull out couch. It was fabulous. The vaulted ceilings and panoramic windows were lovely. The kitchen was stocked well and the full size pantry cupboard was perfect for the Costco run we did. All of the appliances worked (coffee maker, toaster, microwave), they even have a rice cooker (which we used)! They were happy to restock toilet paper, dish detergent, laundry detergent, and garbage bags during our two week stay. Such an incredible family resort. We loved that cars weren't allowed throughout the grounds and that the parking garage was a distance away. It did make for a bit of the walk to the car but the ambiance and family safety it created was perfect. We brought our foldable wagon on this trip and it was excellent for hauling luggage, groceries, and beach gear to and from the vast and our condo. The balcony/lanai's were fabulous for sitting outside in the mornings or evenings. The sounds of the birds and running streams was perfect. Such a great way to enjoy coffee. I can not believe we were able to book a 13 day stay here for $2160 in May. Incredibly affordable for large families with a great value.

The bed was firmer than we like. Would like to see the pools stay open later. They closed at 8 when we were there in May.

The staff very friendly , helpful , made food in which were provided for our use, the ice maker fridge , the accomdation was up in the higher hills so was cooler , we walked to town a couple of times 5k it was a nice walk down , the kitchen and facilities were good to use

It was a bit further from our race 5k , the street up from the main road was dark with no street lights so couldnt ride our bikes up at night
