Hyatt Place Athens/Downtown

Clean and comfortable beds and restroom. Rooms are spacious and have nice sitting area, cabinets, and refrigerator. The breakfast was excellent and the best at any hotel I have been to. They had many gluten free options, multiple dietary options. The food was great! Very convenient walking distance to downtown restaurants and campus at UGA - Go DAWGS! Parking was easy in their garage. Staff was very nice and the property was well managed.

A bit pricy but hey...for what we experienced it was truly worth it! No microwave in rooms. Our room (304) had a broken wire shelf in the shower but was not a big deal.

I needed a place close to Athens Piedmont Regional Hospital and it was super convenient for that. The staff was very helpful, from front desk to the Restaurant/Bar staff. When I knew I would be arriving back after the restaurant closed they placed an order for me to be ready to pick up when I arrived. The food onsite was really good and saved me since I was keeping crazy hours tending to the hospitalization of 2 family members at the same time.

Communication about breakfast hours, Elevator, and Parking procedures would've been helpful. Never did figure out how parking worked. I had to get buzzed out every time or I would've been charged

The breakfast spread is impressive! From waffles to bacon to quick bites like apples and nutrigrain bars, they have something for everyone. But the best part, it's available til 11! No more dragging yourself from bed to grab a bite in your pjs before the unholy hour of 9 a.m.

Everything was clean, parking was included, they have a great rooftop bar and a little pantry to pick up a bottled water or a snack on he go. If I really had to reach for critiques I'd say the heaters on the rooftop weren't spread out and ready to be used by guests, but I'm sure a staff member would've helped us to move and use one if we'd asked. And I didn't see toothbrushes avail for purchase in the toiletry section which, naturally, was the one time I'd forgotten to pack one. Again, these are the tiniest little details that in no way detracted from a fabulous stay.

1. The room was spacious and had additional lounging space. The space was clean and well maintained 2. The lobby and restaurant area was immaculate.

If you stay at the hotel and parked, you need to buzz to be let out of the parking deck (since you already paid for the parking as a part of your bill). It would be better if there was a way to validate the parking ticket as a hotel guest and just scan to get out of the deck instead of needing to buzz out. Otherwise, not too bad.

Hyatt Place has the best breakfast that is included with the price of the stay that I have ever had before.

I booked through a 3rd party (you-booking) therefore, I was not able to get a receipt from the hotel without contact you. was told one of your representatives would contact the Hyatt Place to give them permission to send a receipt to me. I don't understandy why this is necessary. It is very inconvenient. I need the receipt for my business office.

Great location, Parking was sufficient for the type of vehicle with trailer I had, rooms were clean, great view from my room, would recommend this place to friends and family to stay in if ever in Athens on vacation.

The only thing I would critic is the water pressure. Most places I have stayed at have great water pressure for the shower. This place hardly had any pressure for that clean feeling of taking a shower.

The location was excellent for my training. It was next door to the Classic Center so I did not have a long walk to and from training sessions. The hotel was very nice. The staff was professional and my room was excellent. I was able to get restaurant suggestions all with in walking distance. I and a HUGE DAWGS fan and will look to book this hotel for future stays in Athens during football season.

Great location. We were able to have a pleasant walk to the restaurant where we had reservations for dinner. Breakfast was very nice with many options. There was a pleasant street view to enjoy while enjoying breakfast.

Only negative for me was the mattresses in our room were not comfortable. May be about time for some replacements.

we were so pleased with the breakfast. My grandson is 9 and he's very picky about food, but he was able to choose all the breakfast foods he likes and plenty of it. Everything was fresh and hot.

I didn't like the fact that I didn't have time to stay several nights. We were there due to my grandson's great-grandfather passing and we had to get back to Mississippi.

The hotel is located downtown and is easy to find. Both my visits have found me arriving on cold nights after a long day of driving. I appreciated not having to go out again, as the restaurant and bar are right there. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the staff friendly.

Parking is a little tight, but secure. The elevator situation is a bit confusing, as it did not go from my parking level directly to my floor.
