Lime Tree Bay Resort

The setting was simply beautiful-right on the water with gorgeous views! There's a bar/restaurant on-site with good food, drink, and live music. The free breakfast was good, too. The room had a lovely ocean view and it was very clean, spacious, and well-equipped with a mini refrigerator and coffee maker. The staff was friendly and helpful and we were warmly welcomed by everyone. We loved our stay and the many extras-swimming pool, beach loungers, hammocks, games-corn hole, and a life-sized chessboard. Kayaks, bicycles, and paddleboards are also available on-site. Don't miss the sunsets-they're magnificent!

The breakfast was adequate. For anyone eating at the on site restaurant the night before, it was probably not needed anyway due to the excellent quality and large quantity!

Not that I didn't like, just even better ifs............ I felt their could have been more information on local attractions, because this place is awesome! As an example the local guys in the bar told me about Robbies, which was excellent. I also researched a couple of the local nature trails and kayaking at Long Key and Curry Hamock State Parks, both of which were brilliant!

We loved the location, room, staff, being able to swim anytime in pool and the use of paddle boards, kayaks and bikes was great.

Breakfast and restaurant facility let's it down. Breakfast was disappointing. All drinks served in plastic. Evening food was tasty, when you finally placed an order. Drinking expensive nice drinks out of plastic isn't pleasant. Seemed very disorganised and run on a shoestring.

The Views , the kayaks,paddle boards, and the bicycle use included.

I thought everything was beautiful but if it was my property I would keep the palms cleaned up pruned up better( remove old dead palms etc) also the area where the Kayaks and paddle boards enter water maybe raking up the brown nasty stuff along sand area there ( stuff the water pushes in) it sometimes has a bad odor. It would look much nicer around the grounds.

Room was fantastic. Could have done with its own sink in the kitchen area rather than having to use the bathroom one, but with the room and view etc, it really didn't matter. Might have if we'd been staying longer, which I wish I had. The bathroom and bedroom were great quality. The balcony faced the sea/bay/Everglades - IE, north. There are also properties on the other side of the road that face south, but I can't review those as didn't see them. This was the most expensive (but not by much) place that we've stayed in during our four night trip south and was by far the best, I wish I'd booked it for the 4 nights as the other have been a disappointment after this.

The breakfast was okay, but not up to the standard of the rest of the resort. It's understandable as space is tight, so the bar at the back doubles as the breakfast location. This means it hasn't got the same facilities as a hotel or resort with its own kitchen, hence all disposable plates and cutlery which isn't too great for the environment, plus they're limited as to what hot food can be provided. Would this stop me from staying there again, absolutely not.

Nice modern studio with kitchen and a little terrace. We could walk (cross US1) to the lovely beach, hammocks, chairs and free kayaks in front of the main hotel complex. Maybe a good choice for the traveller on a budget - however, it's better to stay in the main building complex if you can afford it.

Didn't sleep well due too loud traffic noise. Also it was impossible to get the room completely dark which bothered us. The wine glasses looked like drinking glasses and there was only a tiny little saucepan in the kitchen - when we asked, an oversized pan was provided that didn't fit the hot plates on the stove so it took a very very long time to get boiling water for simple spaghetti. We do strongly suggest to provide stemmed wine glasses again, even if once in a while a glass is broken - an expensive wine is definitely wasted if drinking it out of these drinking glasses.

I love the ocean side of the resort. We LOVE and appreciate the use of kayaks, paddle boards and bikes. The room was very clean and nicely furnished. Very homey and comfortable. We would recommend Lime Tree Bay Resort and will most likely come back with the family.

Wanted ocean side but got canal side. Otherwise maybe keeping a small thing of oil and salt and pepper and a way to scrub the dishes. There was soap but no scrubby. Maybe cut a green scrubby into 4th and just keep 1/4 in each kitchen.

Loved the size of our room. It was more like an apartment! Paddleboards and kayaks were included with the room! Had a lot of fun out on them! The hammocks and pool were great! Breakfast was included with the room!

It would have been nice to get a small discount towards the lunch and dinner food at the restaurant next door. The free breakfast was not anything special. It lacked creativity and presentation and was a bit bland. Also, the kayaks and paddlebord equipment could use a good cleaning and revamping.

We visited Lime Tree from our honeymoon last year and loved it so much we came back for our first anniversary. We let them know that we’d be returning and requested the same room. They were more than happy to offer congratulations and gave us our room. When we arrived it was as beautiful as before and when we walked in to our room, our bed was sprinkled with rose petals and figures made from towels. It was such a sweet gesture and completely unexpected! The property is gorgeous and beautifully maintained. The staff is super friendly. You lounge in the pool as you look out to the ocean, it’s just magical. Oh and we can’t forget about the sunsets….absolutely majestic. We definitely enjoyed our stay and will be returning hopefully for future anniversaries!

What did change from last year was the full continental breakfast including hot options like eggs and sausage was no longer available and needed to be ordered separately and charged to the room. It was a bit pricey for the amount of food served. $12 for 2 eggs, 2 pieces of bacon and soggy hash browns was a little off putting. I feel they needed more options for cold cereals and yogurts and other options for those who are lactose intolerant :)

Love the location of this resort. It’s central to Marathon and islamorada.

The breakfast staff on Friday morning was not very friendly. Room 120-119-118 are not true ocean view. 120 being the worst. You have a building and cars across the front of you. I guess technically you do have a view but just a sliver. Wish I would have got a photo, but it wasn’t photo worthy from our patio. Also, the bed wasn’t bad, but wasn’t great either.
