Scranton Seahorse Inn

Scranton Seahorse Inn was easy to find just off the main street of Madison. Check-in was well-prepared for guests to take their keys with instructions to locate the room prepared for them. The entire first floor was common area with a large dining room and two smaller sitting rooms. The front room contained a library of DVDs. Beautifully decorated. The room and bed were extremely comfortable. There is a TV in every room with ability to insert a DVD, controls are on the side of the TV. Coffee or tea was available in reception area. Breakfast included juices, morning cakes and homemade waffles with fruit compote and sausage patty. Very pleasant stay on New Year's Eve. Very quiet, very pleasant. Madison is beautiful. Highly suggest visiting Meig's Point Nature Center.

I have no suggestions except possibly instructions on how to play a DVD on the TV. The remote did not work for movies. Fortunately my husband figured it out quickly.

As always, breakfast was superb. Michael is welcome to come home with me anytime -- but then I would probably end up weighing 200 pounds! I love the atmosphere of the house! And the location can't be beat. Right across the street from the newly enlarged library and right downtown! An easy walk to town beaches.

The weather could have cooperated a little more. I came prepared for some beach/pool time - didn't get it! I packed shorts - didn't need them, needed sweatshirts or a sweater. Gave me an excused to do a bit of shopping! That is never a problem. There are a lot of changes taking place in Madison. Most of the ones I saw will be an asset. There were a few that really don't fit the town. That's the opinion of a long time resident. We don't like too much change!

Breakfast was superb both days. Great buttermilk pancakes, blueberry scones. The proprietor knows what he's doing in the kitchen.

It's a rambling old property (which accounts for its charm), but some of the fixtures seem a little tired and could use updating.

the location was great. The downstairs area was very pretty and spacious. The breakfasts were also very good.

our room was nice - but the bed was very high - I could have used a stool to get into bed. the house is very old so the floor in the bedroom was slanted - not a big surprise.

Very quite place great breakfast old fashioned just great overall first time there

Wish it had swimming pool the sign needs to be a little bigger and a little expensive for the week day wish the room had a little refrigerator to keep our drinks cold

Nice location in small seaside town - charming house and Mike took good care of us Great breakfast - with fresh fruit and cooked every day Beach towels and parking tickets was offered for access to beach

Room needs a bit of updating though very comfy and clean

Accommodations were made for those who could not eat in the dining room. Loved the private porch off our room. Pet friendly room with easy access to outdoors. We arrived early and Michael made an extra effort to have our room ready sooner so we could nap after driving all night. So convenient to downtown shops, restaurants and beaches.

Would have appreciated coffee service in the room.

This was our second time staying at the inn. one of our places to go to. Breakfast could not be better. fresh fruit and baked goods inaddition to yummy eggs one day and waffles the next. We love being able to park the car and walk to beach and great restaurants. love that there is tea and coffee available Micheal is a wonderful host, ,

This was my second time at the Inn in 4 months. No better place to go for peace and quiet. Location is great…walk to the center and right down the road from the beach. Breakfasts can’t be beat! Michael the innkeeper is awesome!

Absolutely love the Scranton Seahorse Inn, beautiful and comfortable furniture & bedding. We enjoying the outdoor seating areas as well, early morning and evening to wind down, weather was perfect. Michael prepares the absolute best breakfast, you will not leave this dining room hungry. We’ll be back again when we visit the area.
