Blue Door Inn

The room was exceptionally clean, and was also cleaned daily. This was a nice surprise since this is not always the case anymore. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They seemed happy to be there. There are a number of on site things to do like the pool, corn hole, movies to borrow, games, etc. In addition to typical continental type breakfast with muffins and cereal, we were surprised to also find some hot items including eggs, and biscuits and gravy.

Breakfast doesn't start until 7:00am, which felt late. This is a particular disadvantage in a town where hiking is one of the primary activities. We often want to be up early to beat the crowds. Also, this later time made the limited breakfast area crowded almost as soon as the doors opened. Even starting at 6:30 would have been a help.

The beds, pillows, and space of the room was excellent. It was also great to have two sinks--one inside the bathroom, and one outside of it which was helpful for the three of us. The loveseat and coffee table gave it a homey feel. We also enjoyed the hot tub and swimming pool after a day of hiking.

The breakfast was a disappointment. The eggs were tasteless and the rest of the offerings were fatty and processed and sugary, so we'd have preferred more healthy options. Hard boiled eggs, vegetables--uncooked or cooked, or fresh fruit would have been great.

Location is great with views. Pretty quiet even though it's on the main strip and felt very safe. Room was large although it was the handicap room, so if you are in need of a handicap room they are large and have ramps. Room was quiet and clean. Air worked well. Beds were comfortable. Pool was closed due to not being warm enough but they did have a hot tub that was wonderful. Staff were so nice and friendly! Very pleased. Breakfast was OK, nothing to rave over. Would definitely stay again!

Breakfast was OK. Biscuits were very hard and waffles were gritty in texture. Everything else was great!

Absolutely fantastic stay! Smooth check in, very professional and polite gentleman who checked us in. Our first time in Estes and he helped with some recommendations of eating, sightseeing, etc. The room was immaculately clean, good space, and had great mountain views. Breakfast each morning was great. Biscuits and gravy, scrambled eggs, waffles, along with cold cereal, fruit, yogurt. The breakfast room was busy but they kept things well stocked, cleaned tables quickly, and did a great job of keeping things rolling. The location is great! Mountain views every direction, very close to downtown, but far away enough to not be too busy. Less than 5 minutes away from everything in town. Cannot say enough good things about our stay, will definitely be back!

The breakfast room could use some type of curtain for the mornings, as the sun is directly in your face dishing up food and eating. Minor inconvenience though.

The place is peacefull, quiet, and really clean. You can enjoy the pool, hot tub, or games like basketball. The staff is really really nice and professional, which I really appreciated. Rooms are clean, you have everything you need (coffee, fridge, microwave, AC, hair dryer, tv…) The breakfast is the best I had for 3 weeks in the USA ! (Coffee, waffle, bagel, sesame bagel, toast, muffin, yogurt, eggs, cream cheese, peanut butter… I’m sure I’m forgetting something. This is the best stay we had. Thank you!!

Loved the location and the view. Staff were very friendly and there were snacks in the lobby which was very appreciated. We really enjoyed the whirlpool bath.

Towels and bath amenities were pretty basic. Just one tiny bottle of shampoo, which we used up as bubble bath so none left for actual showers. I wish the windows had two layers of curtains so we could have a privacy liner while still letting some light in. Our room 116 on the first floor was at the end of the property right next to the housekeeping laundry so there was a bit of noise.

Blue Door is super cute and very affordable. I used Booking.com and the thing that sold me was the number of great reviews and the price! We had a wonderful 2 days in Estes Park. Saw hundreds of elk, coyote, and much more.Winter was a great time to drive into RMNP. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room had a gas fireplace and a Jacuzzi tub. Free breakfast in the morning with a good cup of Joe ! This was one of the best little places I have stayed and I travel allot for work. I give this place the BEST RATING A++ PLUS. Just like most of the other guests have too. We were there in the winter and the town was quite and very beautiful. Will return again and stay at Blue Door ! Thanks guys ! Mark Miller

nothing ! the place was above our expectation. The town of Estes Park was just perfect !

Awesome views of the mountains, the staff was amazing, and the breakfast offered was very good! The bed was comfortable, the hot tub was relaxing with a beautiful view of the mountains while in it, and all within less than 10 minutes from downtown.

Toilet didn't flush the greatest, and the jets of the hot tub automatically turned off after a bit every time we used them, and couldn't be turned back on for at least 20 minutes afterwards.

Friendliness of the staff, ease of check in, and location of the property was great. Room was clean, and room service was provided without needing to ask which was surprising change of experience compared to Hilton or Marriott resort stay!

The breakfast items and service could be improved with additional breakfast items and supplies. The breakfast room is small and morning rush hour seems a bit over crammed with lot of visitors trying to grab a breakfast and go out to the park around 7 - 8 AM.

Wonderful location and great price. Clean and all the amenities (microwave, coffee maker, mini fridge, breakfast). Big room and comfy beds. Very friendly staff. Would definitely stay here again.

The only thing I didn't like wasn't necessarily the inn's fault. Having the bathroom sink in the open room and not in a separate bathroom isn't my favorite when I'm traveling with my husband and kids. Again, not the inn's fault since it was probably built back when that was the norm. I just like to let felow travelers know!
