Sandpiper Lodge - Santa Barbara

I liked that it was close to where we needed to be for a friends wedding. The room was a decent size and the bed was comfortable. The pillows were a little to flat for me. And i felt like we needed more towels in the room. The room was a little outdated, i think it could use some new modern look. The door didn’t feel safe & secure, it looked as if it had been forced in before. Also noticed there was a lot of dust behind the nightstand and on the bed frame against the wall. But i still got a good nights sleep & the curtains did really help clocking out the light. We got to use the pool and the jacuzzi on site and they were both great! And i did also like that there was towels to use there in the pool area instead of the ones from our room. The free continental breakfast was a nice add on. But the coffee tasted awful unfortunately. Overall a decent stay for anyone looking for something not too expensive,

The coffee like i said was very gross and that was surprising, and I didn’t feel so safe in the hotel due to the door having a gap in the doorway.

Staff were friendly, helpful and accommodating. Booked last minute due to car problems on the way back to Los Angeles from San Francisco. Tow truck dropped us off at the hotel after midnight. The night clerk was super friendly and helped make check in fast and easy. While I was dealing with the car issues up the street, staff allowed us to check out late and made the family feel welcome and safe. I"d definitely stay at the Sandpiper Lodge again until would recommend it to my family and friends.

We specifically called thinking we had the desk at the Sandpiper hotel as the person we talked to said it was the hotel desk. They said the cheapest price was was no less than $250 after I told them I saw a price for $129 online. When we got to the hotel they said rooms were $109. The person who answered the phone when we called was booking.com. They gave me an incorrect price and misinformation that it was the hotel. Very disappointing as we paid more than we should have.

Our room was upgraded without extra payment and we greatly appreciate that. The property was well located. Many restaurants and the Santa Barbara mission were close by. The rooms were regularly cleaned. The staff was friendly.

I liked the family suite for our family vacation. it helped that it had a refrigerator in it. i also liked that you had tables at poolside to eat our breakfast.

a little more options at breakfast time. it's not that expensive to provide fresh fruit, toast. Breakfast was unfulfilling for the men in my family which meant we had to supplement and go out to coffee houses. I understand that you have students there but there could have been a little provision in the room

this is such a great potential. with so little they can improve. room needs update. in the rear of the property that are exposing all the lamps, furniture. it looks like they store them to all guests can see it. it looks like a factory. they should have that area with sofa, or plants but with a tape surrounding the area with Hotel repair things. they should mentioned that breakfast is limited to coffee and cereal only. nice hotel, great location and really with a little more attention, this could be a great Hotel.

the pool/hot tub was always hot, clean and most of the time empty so really not crowded at all. Rooms are very cool and luxurious for the price. There is a bus stop to downtown for less than 2$ right in feont of the hotel.

the breakfast was awful, just some prepacked items, some apples and bananas. You can hardly call that breakfast.

The room was much bigger than I expected. There were two sinks, two TVs, three comfy beds, and a little table and chairs to eat at. The pool and hot tub were nice. Easy drive to UCSB. Some great restaurants within walking distance. Parking within the confines of the motel made it feel safer to leave the car packed before the college move-in.

Car wash next door made the pool a little less relaxing.

The pool and hot tub were perfect temps and a great way to unwind after traveling all day. The breakfast was fast and simple. The rooms and surrounding area were nice.

Breakfast could use more protein options. Front desk peeps weren't super helpful when asking for help with computers. Still kind and straightforward but not great customer service.

It was close to Sansum Clinic at 317 W Pueblo Santa Barbara, Ca and I had a Colonoscopy scheduled at 11:10/am 11/15 Mon. and wanted to be close this hotel was in the right price and relatively quiet considering the car wash and people parking next to your room. Nice furniture and bed.

Noisy patrons/ staff after 10:00 pm should be like a campground no excessive noise after 10:00 pm. No car locking toots lights going off; FOB to no lights or toots.
