Hyatt Place Santa Barbara

Plenty of space in the room, comfortable bed. Not super exciting, but overall fine.

Location is just ok (can't really get anywhere without driving). Plumbing is extremely loud - you can hear toilets flush from several rooms away. Breakfast is mediocre - totally indistinguishable from any other kid range chain. $10 per night for parking is petty - it's on premises and you can't reasonably get there without a car. Costs at least double what it should overall, but so does every other hotel in the area.

Location was good. Breakfast was good and plenty. TV great picture. Only two night stay.

Staff at front counter lacked any personality, acted as if we were bothering them. They should be happy to have a job. People in customer service must have social skills. Cleaning crew was more kind. TV kept shutting off suddenly, was very annoying.

The property was cute and the architecture perfect for the area. The rooms were spacious, well stocked and very comfortable. The breakfasts really good and we love the paper bag idea. We had a wonderful time at Hyatt Place. The staff were friendly but Thomas the manager really stood out. The gym has just the right equipment for a workout.

The front desk guy wasn't nice. I asked for a room on the top, he said they don't have any. How is it even possible on a Wednesday at 3.30 pm? I told him we requested for one in our reservation he said it first come first serves. No apology whatsoever. He only said we could come back later. ????! I don't even know what he meant by this as I was standing there with all our luggages and a toddler.

Breakfast was nice (buffet stocked with soft bagels, brand name condiments, quality coffee, fresh fruit, and a wide selection of cereals) and the outer facade of the building was attractive. We enjoyed eating by the outdoor fireplace and taking in the sunshine and landscaping. Bed was also really comfy. Worked from the hotel room and found the workspace (plus tv) to be very comfortable.

The water pressure was weak. Closet was very small—we only stayed one night and even still, felt that the closet was too small for our coats and suit. Windows didn’t open. The room felt pretty basic, not particularly cozy. The air conditioner/heater was very loud which made it difficult to sleep soundly.

Clean sparkly well lit comfy bed and linen and towels. great cosy sitting room for do paperwork.

Nothing - it was all perfect for a combo business and fun vacay! Info and directions to some of the great places to visit and shop just a few miles away would be nice for out of towners.

The staff was complement, friendly, and helpful. The facilities were clean and very well maintained. The location worked out well for us. The bedding and towels were of good quality. The breakfast offerings were OK for the most part as I very much was happy with their fresh fruit offerings and tea selections. We would stay there again!

I would have liked if they offered Greek yogurt in addition to the Yoplait offerings as they are too sweet for my taste, so we bought our own. You had to pay for parking.

It was a good location.

Disappointed with the shower. There were mold in grout in shower and it didn't look very clean. There were no water pressure in the shower head either.

The parking great, the room was clean and loved that the room had hardwood floors. We were right across the room from the exercise room and a short distance from the elevator. The front desk staff was great with information. I forgot some items in the closet they immediately called me got my information and I received my items. The location was very convenient, the room was spacious and the beds were comfy. The indoor parking was a plus. The gym room had fair appropriate devices.

The breakfast was awful for a hotel having Hyatt name on it! There was supposed to be a Jacuzzi, but the pool area was out of service during our entire stay.
