Best Western Gold Canyon Inn & Suites

Breakfast was good and convenient. Fun to have the Rodeo Lounge right next-door. The pool was very nice

I booked a king size Suite with 2 rooms poolside which was confirmed on line. But when I arrived at the property I was given an upstairs regular king room. I showed all the documentation and confirmation of the king suite with 2 rooms poolside. The Manager disputed it and increased my cost for the week by over $400 and conceited to changing us to a queen suite upstairs. Extremely disappointed with the Manager and staff for not correcting the situation properly and also being over charged. We had no choice but having to pay it since there were no other properties available at short notice. Very poor - we would’ve booked an Airbnb if would’ve known how we were going to be over charged and provided with a room we did not book Just POOR and DISAPPOINTED!!!!

Two bedside tables, lots of electrical outlets. Individual patios. Pool and hot tub were awesome. Very clean and spacious.

Desk clerk was awful and surly. Checking in, she hardly spoke to us, except to explain the omnipresent "black bugs" that got in everywhere (because of the monsoon season, not the hotel's fault). My husband later went back to the front desk because my key card didn't work. He rang the bell repeatedly, and she didn't realize he could see her in a mirror, in the office punching holes in paper. When she got up and got to the counter, she pretended she was surprised he was there.

This is an excellent location for those who are planning an adventure weekend. It is ideally located next to all the major trails and attractions. This is my third time at this hotel, and I shall return next year. Plenty of parking and a good breakfast is provided. The rooms are immaculate and modern. Overall, a great place to stay if traveling through the area.

The breakfast was lovely hot & cold items ready to be chosen & wonderful options for pastry as well also was very clean as they had someone to clean up after guests & anything needed he was there for us.

It was great besides not having decaf avail for me I was luckily still able to drink the regular blend but would prefer decaf for sure.

Loved the Southwest theme throughout! Beautiful clean room & quiet. Very comfortable bed! Nice breakfast considering it was during COVID-19. Would definitely stay here again.

Reserved a particular type of room weeks in advance which we were not immediately assigned to. When contacted in advance of check in asking if it was still desired, we responded with “yes”. Upon arrival found out it was rented to someone else. However, the management did decide to make it right by changing the occupant to another room, cleaning our reserved room & assigning it to us. This required us to wait 1 1/2 hours in the hotel lobby. We appreciated management efforts in correcting this situation!

Breakfast was good! The kitchen opened promptly at 6. Kitchen clean, ample selections. Staff during check in and out was efficiently handled in a friendly manner. The adjacent bar was good. Friendly and efficient staff.

Common complaint. The fitness area was okay., not great!

We really enjoyed the balcony overlooking the pool. The breakfast was typical for most hotels. Rubber potatoes and cold eggs. We skipped that and opted instead for the good cafe's not far from the hotel.

Complimentary breakfast. Skip that.

Breakfast, considering Covid 19 and trying to self-distance was very good. Excellent.

There is a sign saying "do no take food out of the dining area'. Considering trying to stay away from other people because of Covid-19, I tried to take breakfast up to my wife in the room. Many people coming into the dining are were not wearing masks either. While the gentlemen working there was very friendly. The woman at the front desk who I presume was the owner or manager was not friendly at all. Not sure if it was because I took food up to the room or she was just very unfriendly in general. But, just an observation, very unfriendly!! I say many others taking food up to their room as well.

This place is totally adorable and the lady at the front desk who checked us in is an absolute treasure. She was so informative and very charming and sweet. Exactly the kind of welcome you would want when you’re road weary. The breakfast was amazing. This is the best continental breakfast experience I’ve had traveling since covid. There is a great little restaurant and bar. The beds awe spectacularly comfy. Spotlessly clean. The room was spacious with a gorgeous private balcony. Great pool and hot tub with pool towels in the room!

The price was a little higher than I would expect

The location is great - central to a lot of sites and restaurants we were interested in visiting. The hotel is very nice all around. We really liked the bar downstairs.

The hotel breakfast was so-so. Some of the muffins were stale, the bacon was super greasy, potatoes were cold and you could tell the eggs were from a box.
