The Burlington

Spacious twin room. Comfortable bed. Good ensuite. All looks recently refurbished - nicely done. Good assortment of teas, coffee etc. Plenty of towels and soap, shampoo etc. 24 hr reception. Varied choice for breakfast. Good location. Staff friendly and efficient.

Hall and stair carpet desperately needs replacing but I assume this is part of the ongoing refurbishment. No parking on-site although could park reasonably close. Parking permit available from hotel for £5 for 24 hours. Would like to see this clearly advertised when booking to avoid unnecessarily purchasing a ticket from the roadside ticket machine for 4hours at a time.

We stayed here the night before and the night of our wedding. Great space for getting ready in, super light, great facilities, great view of the sea from four huge windows.

I couldn't get the shower temp hot, so I had a refreshing shower. I heard a few other guests say the same, so perhaps something wrong with the temp that day. I didn't mind too much as it was a really warm day. Not anything to do with the hotel, but because the room had windows on both sides, you get a bit of traffic noise. There was a shredding van running its engine for an hour at 5 am. I was up anyway, but worth being aware of if you're a light sleeper.

The dinner in the restaurant and the breakfast were brilliant, and the staff all very friendly. The hotel is in a great location.

The single room I had - although spotlessly clean and well appointed - seemed 'shoehorned' into the building, and no view to speak of. In fact, the window was frosted over so it made the room feel more box-like than ever! I was not aware of this when I booked the room. It would be nice if the stereotype of the 'single traveller' somehow being a second-class guest could be done away with.

We received a very warm welcome and our room was large, very well equipped and clean. Great view of the sea. Breakfast was of a very good standard and the staff very friendly. In line with the rest of the hotel the bar was also a great place for relaxing with a wide range of drinks on offer and very friendly staff.

A bit unfair to term it as a dislike but the facade of the building needs attention. Internally, the hotel was very good but externally it’s a bit tired. I’m sure the owners have this on their agenda.

The Burlington Hotel is a very friendly place to stay. I only had breakfast once but the staff were very accommodating as I have a dietary requirements and the breakfast was planned around me. I also had supper in the restaurant the food was exceptional I had the Lamb and the next evening the steak which was also very good quality of meat and very well presented. The room was very comfortable as was the bed. The shower took a while to warm up but when it did the water was very hot. All the staff were very friendly I enjoyed my stay. I would recommend staying at this hotel. I will definitely stay again.

There is nothing not to Like about the hotel and the staff.

Location was superb, we had a lovely room full sea view on the first floor. The recent refurb in the hotel and bedrooms has been done well. Staff were very helpful and the food was very good

The interior refurbishment has been done very well, it would be nice to have a lounge area that you could sit and relax in weather was good so we could use the terrace. I hoping the recent refurbishment inside will be extended to the outside which is very tired looking and in desperate need of restoration. It’s a lovely old building and it’s such a shame it’s let down by the exterior. We had a balcony that we couldn’t use for safety reasons which again was a great shame as the views are lovely. I really hope the hotel gets an exterior make over to match the interior.

The room was lovely. The bed was huge and very very comfortable. Also, an excellent shower - something that is missing from a lot of hotels nowadays is a good shower! The staff were all very friendly and welcoming and went out of their way to fulfil any requests we had.

The only thing I didn't like was the breakfast. On the first day it took them an hour to bring me the right breakfast that I ordered, and both days, the breakfast wasn't great. The eggs were dry, things were overcooked whilst others undercooked. Also, price wise, it was a pricey stay for what you get.

The service and attention from the staff. From the reception, to the bar and restaurant staff, to housekeeping, everyone seemed really happy and proud to be working at The Burlington. It's in a great location and I really liked the little sun terrace overlooking the sea.

There was nothing that I didn't like. One thing I would have liked is a quieter lounge area with comfy chairs for hotel guests. The only place to sit away from the bedroom is the public bar/eating area which can get busy and noisy, not ideal to sit and relax and maybe read a book.

Great location in a really lovely quiet end of Worthing, some lovely little shops in close proximity, a short walk to town centre and pier and right on the seafront. The sea-facing bar/restaurant also looked very inviting. the decor of the hotel was lovely and felt modern and light.

All family rooms are on the top floor so although they boast an ocean view, you do have to walk right up to the window and go on tip toes to see it as the windows are quite small and set high in the wall. As the rooms are on the top floor they are also very warm in summer. We also would have preferred to have breakfast in the bar/restaurant as this faced the sea, rather than a function room at the side of the hotel. Both these aspects let down our experience of the location that we’d paid for. The shabby outside of the hotel also lets down the smart interior.

The Hotel is lovely and the staff are wonderful. We had a room on the top floor with a great view; what they call a side view of the sea. It was clean and comfortable. The restaurant and terrace where we had lunch served great food but we missed breakfast. They have no car park but parking was free along the front if you ask at reception for a parking card.

Our room was noisy as it was on the same floor as the family rooms. The walls were thin and our neighbors had two children who started shouting, screaming, and using a noisy mechanical toy at 7.00 am. We were not impressed! The Hotel has parking cards which need to be made clearer on their website as we very nearly paid for parking. Luckily the Pay & Display machine was broken.
