Modernised but it’s an ancient inn, cute, lots of original features, not soul-less like the “chainstore” hotels. The room had new ensuite facilities & everything works as it should. The breakfast was SPECTACULAR ! Good value single, and big enough ! Good on site parking, close to the M1, but in the town-centre. Woburn is a very interesting little town with many small businesses & a museum, as well as many good walks, and the park, zoo & abbey nearby (Abbey currently closed for refurb. Check website).

Nothing really ! I’d have benefitted from a chair in the window-space, there’s roof for one.

A beautiful olde Inn style hotel. Made to feel very welcome upon arrival. Given my room which was booked as a single. I was given room 4. It was ideal as a short stay. Excellent read on the history of the Inn. Quite fascinating going back through the ages to before 1066. Overall very impressed with the hotel and would certainly use this inn again. Breakfast was £9.99 on top.

Not a lot to say I did not like. My only point possibly would be a bigger shower. Not the biggest in the world but certainly acceptable.

The room was lovely, well appointed and clean. Plenty of hot water and using the car charger made a huge difference to my trip. If I need a room in the area again I will certainly stay here.

The 'downside' was that my room was barely serviced throughout my stay. It was only a few days so it didn't matter to me but might to others. I got a top up of milk and biscuits a couple of times but not much else. I also failed to find anyone to check out so had to leave the keys in the letterbox. I suspect shortage of staff.

Great location if your visiting the Safari Park as its 10 min drive away . Lots of places to eat around . Recommend the Tai restaurant . Breakfast was good , friendly staff & owner . We were in the courtyard , not a big room but comfortable & plenty of hot water etc .. good sleep too as its quiet .. The coach entrance is a test to your driving , fold in your wing mirrors & enter front on for a successful entry .. it did make us chuckle though .

The fire alarm going off at 6.24am but only because another guest had set it off having a very hot steam filled shower . At least the alarm worked so couldn't br helped . It's not a complaint

I stay in many hotels around the UK and the hosts here are excellent. Facilities were very good & excellent value, however the breakfast was superb, all fresh local produce beautifully cooked. I would not hesitate to stay here again or highly recommend!

Fresh towels on the bed looks great, but better one set in the bathroom, as I had a double on my own and 2nd set could have been in a clear bag, sealed for another customer. Minor detail, more of a suggestion than a dislike, as it made no difference to my comfortable stay.

Been here once before so was aware of quality of place of which we were staying in. Previously we'd had the room at the top of the INN but we had room3 on 2nd floor with "view " . The secondary glazing did well to muffle the road noises as our room was facing the main road and the bed was firm and comfortable and the shower easy to use if a little small once in it. Owner said our room had recently been renovated and it was very clean and tidy. Top tip if you get room 3 , when you go to sleep you will here a buzzing noise in room which we initially thought maybe airconditioning unit outside.. turns out is the xpelair fan in the bathroom which can be turned off via the switch on the wall above the bathroom on the rhs and so a lot quieter. Heated towel rail in bathroom and plenty of handwash and showergel provided in bathroom. Ample T and Coffee tray . Nice size tv with freeview and Netflix and Amazon and free Wifi which was reliable all time we were there. Breakfast was prebooked for 8.30am next day and was ample with nice tea and coffee and friendly service. Thanks

The room was fine although in retrospect having had the top floor room last time we'd stayed here , somewhat further away from the main road that would have been preferable. The "view " was of the main road ? But then it did remind me of the Fawlty Towers sketch so it was nothing major :~)

Very pleasant hotel at a nice location in Woburn. The staff/owner were great! First, they accommodated and early check-in. They were very helpful throughout our short stay. But they real key was when they gave us a lift to the station when we couldn't get the taxi company on the phone. That was really going above and beyond! Tasty breakfast as well!

Nothing really negative to say. Our room was facing the road, so there was a bit of traffic noise in the morning, but probably less that we get at home. We could have just closed the window if it hadn't been such a hot day.

The place is a wonderful old English coach house, with all its quirks. Its reasonably priced and a very welcoming place. But if you're looking for marble and chandeliers don't book. The attached pub is brilliant, loads of lovely people and bar staff.

I can't think of any faults other than I had to return the handle on the toilet to stop the water from running. Which in a place that old is nothing.

The "Highwayman's Lookout" room with twin beds was lovely with clean linen, large and clean en suite. Room had a nice TV, perfect hot beverage facilities and large windows overlooking the high street and town approach road. Our decent portion sized, full-English breakfasts were delicious and good value for money and not greasy at all. We received a friendly staff greeting on our reasonably last-minute (yet pre-arranged by phone) arrival at 9.15pm and the hostess and host (also chef!) were helpful and friendly. Would come again if in the area visiting Safari park or the Abbey etc.

The twin beds both had springs we could feel through the mattresses I'm afraid, but we still slept well.

August 2022

We stayed here on two separate occasions in August in two different rooms. The first room was in the original 17th century building and was charming and comfortable but somewhat small, especially the bathroom. The second room larger and even more comfortable but both suited our purposes well, with safe, off-street parking, a good breakfast and very helpful and friendly staff. We enjoyed sitting in the sun in the beer garden when not out and about.

Poky bathroom in the first room and a bit of street noise.
