Staff were brilliant very helpful and friendly. This is a character full old building. Walls not straight with lots of niches and annexes. Older decor but for me it had charm. Low ceilings (at 5'19" by head nearly touched the ceiling especially in the shower) and low doorways.

Important to note I would definitely stay here again! My room looked a bit tired in places and had some maintenance issues like screws sticking out and a mark in the bath that at first looked like dirt and horrified me at first but it wasn't - it has been damaged at some point. The grout in the bathroom looked grubby in places. Just needed refreshing. The taps in the bath/shower worn and difficult to turn. That said sheets and linen were spotless. An old carpet but again spotless. So it was clean but characterful 😁😁 and great value for money.

Overall the hotel and our room were beautiful. Very quirky with lots of old features.

We had no hot water. My now husband didn't have any hot water for a shower on our wedding morning, he couldn't do anything about it because of timings and he tried the bath and there was no hot water in that either so had to try his best to wash with cold water. The following morning there was still no hot water in the shower. I did run the bath and eventually got really hot water but the plug isn't attached to the chain so I had to find something to pull it out. We did mention the cold water when we checked out and was told it would be passed on to maintenance so the people after us don't have the same problem, that was no help to us as we couldn't shower for our Wedding day or the day after.

Quirky place, lots of little bars in main place. We weren’t actually housed in the main building therefore I sure our room was much quieter. We were next door to the pubs laundry but didn’t hear any of the machines. Breakfast as expected, helped yourselves, pub meals lovely had main menu and specials board lots of choice.

The very noisy bed! Also the bathroom door only closed from the inside of the bathroom via a bolt once in the main room you couldn’t close it properly.

Easy journey to and from our Venue. Silverstone Circuit. The staff were excellent. Nothing was to much trouble. Always smiling 😃 polite and went out there way to help. The food is great. They have awards for there pies. Sampled a couple for our meal. Even purchased 4 different ones to take home. The rooms were clean warm and very comfortable. We were leaving on the Sunday. We decided to stay another night. We asked if we could have the same room. Just to make things easier. That was already booked. The really helpful receptionist. Took the time to sort it out at short notice. We got a FANTASTIC room with a Jacuzzi. WOW.... So had our meal and some refreshments after a great weekend. And of course took advantage of the Jacuzzi. Had breakfast in the morning. Left and came home.... Thinking what a great weekend. NB.... this hotel is the Tardiss.... when you see it from the outside... It looks lovely and old worldly. When you venture in.... take a long piece of string. There are so many little corners seating areas and rooms. Really great. Will definitely be going back.

Lovely staff, beautiful old coaching inn, fantastic food (dinner and breakfast).

Not a massive moan BUT….I booked a double room and was impressed by the photos on booking.com and the hotel website. We didn’t quite get that….our room was perfectly comfortable but with dated, poorer quality furniture and bathroom. There was a sink / cooker / fridge unit and the room was next to the hotel laundry which makes me suspect it was staff quarters. I would stress it was fine, and excellent value; just not quite what we expected.

Nice quaint pub and hotel which offered a very good breakfast which was included in the booking price. We did not manage to partake in dinner due to time constraints in Aylesbury....however upon our return the various bars were packed with lots of people tucking in to the lovely looking/smelling offerings. Our room was clean and tidy and all the expected amenities to hand. On our next visit to see the grandkids we will be definitely return and try the food!

Great atmosphere in the pub. All staff tried to remember you and gave excellent service.. Loved the quirky pie shop. Spent a fortune but well worth it. Made great gifts for family! Very clean room and pretty location.

Weren't sure we could enter through the car park at the back when we arrived and trooped to the front entrance where no real pavement. Disliked the buffet hot breakfast - great if you wanted loads but I was expecting quality locally sourced products cooked to order. Didn't match the quality of your pub meals and excellent carvery.

The room was nicely decorated and the breakfast and pub was great - good food and drink at good prices. The owner was very friendly, clearly proud of the breakfast and business and all the staff were great. Check in was efficient, and we really felt welcomed. Good parking and lovely central village location.

The room was dirty- our coffee cups had residue and stains in, and the sink had a scummy grey ring on it. Carpets were old with stains and burn marks on. Unfortunately the room was very hot overnight and there are huge grain tractors which drove past early in the morning, making our 1st floor room shake.

lovely old inn in the centre of Winslow, very comfortable and loads of space indoor and out. very good plainest menu which suited us. I was a special diet yet could find a decent plate of food to eat. my husband had the steak and Stilton pie, which he said was good but not as good as mine( his words….pastry too thick) but hey it has won awards so most people must be right. good parking although at times looked as it could be limited, we didn’t have a problem. our room was in the annexe part of the Inn, very well equipped triple room. lovely bedding towels and sheets. all you could want including an iron and board. we picked the hottest night ever and because we were near the roof, it was very hot, even though they had thoughtfully given us 3 fans. the only big minus was in Room 38 after opening the door to the room you are greeted by an extremely steep set of stairs and if we hadn’t been fit and not intending to spend the night drinking alcohol, it could be a recipe for disaster. however we were only there for a night so did not fuss over it, it didn’t take away from a good stay.

the steep stairs into our room, lack of natural ventilation ( only 1 tiny window.)

food was very good, the award winning pie was excellent. Good atmosphere in the bar area. Room was clean and comfortable and staff were friendly and helpful. Some interesting old buildings in the town.

Only stayed one night on journey to North Norfolk for weeks holiday. Enjoyed our short stay. There was nothing we did not like about the hotel. All was good and would stay again if in the area. just the break we needed on our journey.
