The room was absolutely gorgeous, combining classic charm with a modern and refreshing feel. The staff couldn't have been better – friendly and exceptional right from the moment we walked in to when we left. The bar had a really nice variety of drinks. Interestingly, they didn't just stick to the usual draft lagers, which was a pleasant surprise. Now, I have a few new favourite brands to rave about. When we made the booking, we believed this was a breakfastless venu. However, to see the options was great. The breakfast Quesadillas were something else – I can't praise the chef enough for those. Hats off! Our stay was so wonderful, and we're definitely planning on coming back. Thank you for making it such a great experience. Wifi was also a plus, very fast and reliable. Whilst the kids were nodding off, we managed to fit in few episodes of our favourite series. Always a plus to us.

A simple ice cream option / desert to keep the kids content - would have enabled us to sit down a little longer of an evening prior to the kids needing to go to bed however this isnt a game changer

It's not too far from the Ridgeway Trail, which I was walking. Nice decor in the room. The whole place is contemporary, but maintains a warm charm. The menu consists solely of burgers. I had a vegetarian version of pulled pork. It was pretty good. My veggie breakfast was great. All breakfast options are half price for residents. My room backed on to the beer garden. There wasn't much noise, but it was midweek. The staff were polite and friendly.

As a solo in a double room, I was charged the full price of a double. No complaints, but it made it an expensive stay. I wasn't impressed with the bed. I rolled into the middle and was pleased that I was sleeping alone.

Walking the Ridgeway Wallingford a good location for us, not too far extra to walk and a much needed rest point, Room over a pub I expected noise, nothing and very comfortable, basic but great value for money, the speciality burger looked great for meat eaters however Wallingford has a really good restaurant 10 min walk away Five Little Pigs, doo book first

Ah, young man who booked us in said he'd organise breakfast for 8am as needed booking, clearly he forgot as no one there but cleaner next morning, not an issue for us, it's just food so went to local coffee shop nearby

Lovely friendly welcome and our room was spotlessly clean and well presented . Not the biggest but very comfortable. The wifi was a bit iffy at times and our room looked out to the road and was at exactly the same level as the passengers on the occasional double-decker buses going slowly outside, so do be careful !! The window is only single glazed so our room was not the quietest but my wife and I still enjoyed an excellent night's sleep. Our half price breakfast was lovely and terrific value. Wallingford is an interesting characterful town and the Town Arms is an integral part of its attractiveness.

Iffy wifi. Possible disturbance from outside.

We loved the rooms at the Town Arms in Wallingford. We stayed in the family room which was beautifully decorated and spacious. There were just 3 of us but it looked to have the capacity for a family of up to 5. The furniture and lighting really enhanced the room. The ensuite was very clean, the shower hot, with good pressure and lots of toiletries were provided. Tea, coffee and chocolate were provided with a kettle - with spares outside. One of our party had a dog and baby, this was no problem (although carrying the buggy upstairs was a minor chore). We arrived at 1pm (before the 2pm check in). We parked up nearby - there are a couple of cheap car parks within walking distance and took ourselves off to explore. Wallingford is lovely, so many welcoming pubs and eateries and lots of beautiful historic buildings. We were a big group of 9 with a dog and baby and found many friendly places to stop. We ate at the Town Arms later that evening (again dog and child friendly. It has a Smoke House type menu and our party really enjoyed the food. The tikka chicken specials were very tasty. The only drawback was that they had no bitters (for the real ale drinker), everyone else was well catered for though. Breakfast wasn't available when we stayed but we had booked room only and were given 24 hours notice of this so we had a lovely brunch next door. Would definitely recommend this venue as a place to stay.

Regarding our room nothing, our room was lovely Bottled real ale would be good for the drinkers eating here

Location for event, non restricted access, very clean and beds were comfortable.

Fourth bed in group room was not a futon, it was not made up and when one member of staff asked if the bed could be made, I was informed it was our responsibilty, which I was surprised at as I had specifically booked for four in the room, it should be clearer that this fourth bed isn't really suitable for an adult, a second mattress pulling out from under the day bed would be more suitable and made up bedding ready to add to it. Also I was not aware of no parking until my arrival.

The accommodation was much better than many other rooms we have paid the same amount for elsewhere whilst walking the Thames Path. Our hosts were informal and friendly but also very professional and very helpful. A very good, reasonably priced, breakfast was provided and we were well cateredd for as vegetarians.

Our only slight annoyance was that traffic held at the lights controlling the nearby bridge was sometimes intrusive in terms of sound when lorries or motorbikes started off. Not much the hosts can do about it, other than double glaze, but might be a consideration for light sleepers

This was a quirky little place which we thoroughly enjoyed. It's centrally placed by the river, and is a lively hub. Evening meals were great, and breakfast, though simple, was very good. Our room was a little cramped, as was the bathroom, but it was adequate and met our requirements. We would certainly stay again.

It is worth knowing that there is no parking at the hotel. When we booked we did not expect to have a car with us. There are reasonably convenient nearby public car parks.

The hosts were very welcoming and friendly. The room was nicely decorated, very clean and the bed was very comfortable. The shower was powerful which was great. Breakfast, whilst not included in the price, was 50% off for guests and it was delicious, really great choice and reasonably priced even before 50% off!

There is no parking on site - also our rooms were on the road so there was some road noise at night, I would book again but as I'm a light sleeper next time I would ask for a room at the back or take earplugs!

Very friendly helpful staff. Room was very nice, with plenty of room. We were 3 people in a quad room. Bathroom was clean with large shower. It was a hot evening and a very effective quiet fan was in the room to use when needed. Parking wasn't an issue as there was a car park very close.
