Check in and out service was quick, super friendly and super helpful. The rooms were beautiful with an incredible view and the little extra details in the room were a nice touch. We ate in the restaurant for dinner and the food was lovely. Breakfast was also great and a nice touch to have our paper of choice delivered to the table. All the staff were so nice, it was impossible to single anyone out.

We used the spa at the end of the day and were told that everything we needed would be there. There weren't many towels left and no robes other than a used one left on the floor in the changing room. It wasn't too much of a bother as we had spares we could have brought from our room but it just knocked the attention to detail down a peg. The views from the spa were amazing though.

Our room was large ,well lit with a fantastic view of the bay and a balcony extremely comfortable clean and tidy. bathroom was large and fully stocked, We also had a large fridge coffee, tea and biscuits

Would have liked a shelf to put my razor and grooming supplys. The shelf in the fridge fell out We felt the breakfast was not sufficient. We were never told we couldn`t have more, but we weren`t offered more than either a simple cooked breakfast or a small range of continental choice. I just felt a few more options and a self service choice would be better

Perfect location, lovely big rooms, very friendly staff. Beautiful views across the bay. Very helpful with parking the car – it's an extremely steep and winding road down the hotel! And even a decent cocktail, which is always a surprise this deep into the countryside!

Food was... fine. Essentially decent pub grub (at higher than pub-grub prices), although a couple of dishes were more special – the scallops and the mackerel pate were both very good. But fish and chips, which I’d hoped would be terrific here, could have been from any fairly decent pub – same for the steaks. And a bit stingy on the chips! Breakfast was always good, and generous. But again, not special.

The place is with beautiful scenery and a nice outlay . The room was comfortable with a lovely balcony. The food in the restaurant was excellent. The spa was excellent. I liked the quietness in the area. Good place for relaxation.

The place is at the bottom of the cliff . The hotel provides a service to drive you up the hill where there is a bus stop . But on the way back to the hotel , not every taxi driver accepts the ride. This did restrict our freedom to move about.

Great location. Great staff. Great place to stay (stayed in one of the "beach huts"). So relaxing. Not cheap - but it shows you only get what you pay for, although in this case was very worth the price.

The approach is kind of steap, and they keep your car in their car park further up the hill; but this is necessary on the Devon coast.

The room was very spacious and had lovely views of babbacombe beach. The bathroom was a lot bigger than expected and I loved that the shower bits were the white company. The bed was also very comfy and I liked that we had free biscuits/tea in the room. Also very friendly and warm staff. Overall just very nice.

The decorative cushions on the bed looked a bit past it. But that is me being extremely picky.

Thanks to Tracey a misunderstanding about request for twin rooms was rectified and we were offered the stunning Bay Cottage for 2 nights which made for an exceptional experience. Friendly staff and use of minibus made our stay even better. Lunch at the Captain's Table for my husband's 60th birthday made this a truly memorable occasion. Walks to Odicombe and Anstey's Cove were very enjoyable.

Not having to drive down scary hill for check in would have been appreciated.

Room was massive. I think maybe 5 star was a bit much, but excellent. Everything clean, laid out perfectly.

All ok. Trying hard but everything was fine. Property was great. The only thing is, you had to pay extra for the spa. I thought this would be included considering the cost of the room.

View is amazing and makes this hotel, staff very friendly and food brilliant. We do not usually eat at the same place for multiple nights but had dinner at the hotel 3 times and each time it was without fault.

Bathroom was very tired and not exactly 5 star this along with the spa facilities let down the hotel as a whole. The handles of the bath were broken. And a shower over a bath is not 5 star in any circumstance.

The views were amazing. Lovely friendly staff especially Linda & David. The bed was comfy had a great sleep, room spotless. Used the hydra pool. Had a tour from Dave of different suits for next time. Definitely coming back as soon as possible. We loved it.
