Very clean, friendly staff (special mention to Jodie, who was lovely) and a really, good, hot breakfast

Would like to have been informed during booking that the private bathroom was actually a separate room across the corridor away from the bedroom. Found this a little inconvenient during the night, had very heavy doors on both rooms due to them being fire doors, so was very conscious of them banging loudly if not closed properly. Hairdryer provided in bedroom, but no mirror . No hooks in the bathroom to hang anything on, so everything had to be placed on the floor. These are not complaints just observations.

The pub offered a fantastic selection of beers which were all very reasonably priced (as well as the Prosecco!). The staff were absolutely lovely and couldn’t have been more helpful from the moment we arrived. The room had everything needed, smart tv easy to use, it was immaculately clean, quiet and aesthetically it was really modern/fresh looking. The location couldn’t be more perfect and the pub garden had sun all afternoon with lots of places to sit and offered a shelter if you wanted to be out of the sun. We had a full English for breakfast served by two lovely ladies which was delicious and all great quality. This was included in the cost of the stay which I think is amazing and really makes you feel you are appreciated as customers.

Absolutely nothing!

A very friendly urban pub recovering after the pandemic! The room was well furnished and everything was clean. The newer décor is tasteful, and all the staff really welcoming and with helpful information. The breakfast was of a good standard. The real ale is well-kept. The garden looked pleasant but the weather was so awful we barely used it!

Without a car the distance (and hills) between it and the centre of St Austell is a bit daunting, and with the rain as well we ended up using taxis more than intended. On the other hand there is a bus service and the pub is the right side of town for charming Charlestown. The room was a bit cramped around the bed. At the time of our visit the pub closed during the day, and there was no restaurant service.

Staff were really friendly and welcoming, the locals were also friendly was in a good location close to every where we needed to go, the full english breakfast was very tasty.

The bathroom in our room was a little small and there was only one mirror in the room and that was in the bathroom there was no mirror outside of the bathroom where I could plug the hairdryer or straighteners in to do my hair.

Breakfast was excellent, nice quality ingredients, Expected it to be a bit noisy on a busy junction but pleasantly surprised, very comfy bed and slept like a baby, very clean and tidy with very friendly staff.

Very much appreciated the tea making facilities, the only downside was that the small sink made it difficult to fill the kettle! Have to say though that is really picking flies! The actual selection supplied was great.

The staff were excellent, very helpful and pleasant, we were made feel like one of the gang. Breakfast was perfect the sausages were especially delious and everything cooked perfectly. We had one vegetarian and he was catered for with no problem. We needed an evening meal the evening we arrived and ordered from the Indian across the road, we were given plates and cutlery and had a wonderful meal together. We will definetly be going back again.

Nothing about the Duke of Cornwall was bad

The staff were friendly and very helpful. Lovely people. The breakfast was delicious too. It is also only a 15 minute walk from Charlestown - the nice bit of St Austell by the sea.

The shower was a bit erratic with the temperature changing from scalding to freezing to just right on what seemed like a random basis. Got there in the end though !

Great hotel in the heart of StAustell. Very easy check in and out process, friendly staff who were very accommodating with arrival times, real family vibe to the place Rooms and facilities were immaculate and very well catered. My only regret is not being able to stick around to try breakfast and get a pint downstairs!

No complaints :)

Good size room and bathroom. Very clean. Had tea and coffee making facilities and shower gel and soap, which was great. Bed was comfortable and there was enough room to put clothes away. Owners were friendly and breakfast was tasty (needs to be pre-booked the night before) . Great patio area behind pub which we enjoyed a few drinks. Excellent value for money

There was nothing that we did not like but you should be aware that it is a on a main road. It is also above a busy pub which was no problem to us as we are not early or light sleepers.
