We stayed in the cottage. Had read a few bad reviews so was concerned. Yes it did have a strainer in the shower and no you can’t see the harbour from the window but we loved the quirkiness and the location was amazing . It has a full kitchen and dining area, good sized living room. The bedrooms are both good sized and have everything you need. The whole place was clean and we loved the decor with nods to the fishing industry and harbour. The shower in the bathroom, despite its stainer, is hot and powerful and the towels were clean and fluffy. The staff in the Wheel House were friendly and helpful ( we asked for a couple of extra little milk pots to tide us over, they gave us a 6 pint carton) There is also free private parking on the edge of the village a few minutes walk away. The cottage is a traditional fishing cottage, down a tiny and steep lane and we absolutely loved it. Would definitely go back if we visit Cornwall again

Nothing. We thought it was lovely

Perfect location overlooking the harbour and a stones throw from the shops, restaurants. Good size room (deluxe room) with nice decor & a very comfortable bed. Tea & coffee making facilities were good. Good communication from Chris prior to arrival & also I wanted to mention the lady who came to clean the room daily (if we wanted it) she was lovely & friendly.

Would have liked to of had the option of breakfast in the restaurant in the mornings. We struggled to find anywhere to eat in Mevagissey early in the morning. The local village cafe was open but it was very busy & quite small so we never managed to get a table.

The location was stunning: right on the harbour and on the Coast Path. The furniture the room was beautiful and the bed very comfortable.

Unfortunately the ensuite in a little too tiny for those of 5' 8" or taller as the loo could not be sat on easily and the loo seat was sliding off - probably as the result of other guests having the same problem. Also although it was made clear that the rate did not include breakfast I did not realise that there was no breakfast available at the property at all and there were no recommendations in the room regarding where you might buy breakfast.

Location is wonderful views over the dock at Mevagissy.. Our hotel room was very comfortable and pretty, with two small- paned window seats overlooking the docks.

We had a hair raising drive down extremely narrow streets and across the dock weaving in and out of tourists and cars . We were then directed outside the village proper to reserved parking 5 minutes walk away The Wheelhouse is very old . It would be difficult for guests who cant navigate three sets of steep narrow stairs and two fire doors to get to their room.

The position of the B&B was perfect. With views over the harbour. Room was very small but clean and well stocked with beverages and towels and toiletries etc Breakfast was excellent. Staff were helpful and cheery. Lovely harbour with everything you could need. Lovely quirky quality gift shops. Plenty of places to eat. All good quality food. Fantastic mevagissey museum . No need to go anywhere else. It's all on your doorstep.

Not so much a dislike but there alot of steps to rooms so quite difficult to negogiate, especially with bags so wouldn't suit everyone. Parking is quite a walk away so again needs to be taken into consideration. It is possible to bring car to front of building for unloading and loading but nerves of Steel are required to negotiate the tiny roads down to the harbour. We tried and failed! Lol

A great location! Lovely comfortable little place with everything you need. Lovely large soft towels. Quality bedding. Lounge and kitchen had everything you need. WiFi was excellent.

The shower had a lot of mould everywhere which put me off using it. The bathroom in general needed a thorough clean. The photos were a bit confused as it looked like we were getting a harbour view but I would still come back as it's on your doorstep.

We didn't eat at the Wheelhouse as we occupied an attached self catering cottage.

All very good, and while a sharp prep knife would have been useful, the additional oils, condiments, sauces, tea and coffee all made our stay very easy and comfortable without having to spend on these items.

We loved our stay here! Location was fantastic, right on the water's edge with a stunning view of the sleepy fishing boats from our window. Much more private than your average air BnB. Effortless check in and check out, hosts on hand to answer phone for any troubles. We could park right outside to drop off bags, then just a 2 minute walk to the carpark - extremely convenient. Mevagissey is a stunning place with beautiful walks either way along the coast, and the village itself has loads to offer - Mary's Pastys are a must. Thanks for having us! 2 very happy guests!!!

Shower could have been a bit more powerful but the bathroom was lovely so it didn't affect our comfort at all.

Excellent location! It’s very close to the harbour, so no need to drive anywhere after you’ve parked up at the parking if you don’t want to, everything you could need is within walking distance of the cottage. Really good powerful shower in the bathroom too, makes washing long hair a breeze.

The only thing wrong, was the lack of any kind of sharp knife or scissors, so if you’d bought a whole loaf of bread, there wasn’t anything to cut a slice off. The parking for the property isn’t next to the property, it’s a good 5-10min walk

Location was absolutely amazing!!! Could not get better if one wished for it ... Room was small but had a window view of the harbour and the sunrise ... absolutely bliss.

Although the sheets / bedding were clean, the material was not cotton ... and in the morning i checked to see why i had an itch ... and there were revolting huge hairs stuck all over the sheets and duvet - clean but obviously magnitised to the bedding ...
