Diane was the most kind and welcoming host! I came a bit early for my check in time, but my room was already ready so Diane happily let me into my room. As a young, female solo traveler, I felt very safe and enjoyed getting to know not only Diane and Ian, but also the other guests at breakfast in the morning. The dining room is the perfect place to strike up a conversation - I especially loved the map of the world with pins in them! This BNB is an easy 5-10 minute walk into town. I also loved how every room is en-suite and private.

I have nothing bad to say, this was a last-minute reservation and I was still able to book for a single night at a great price. Other places in the area either had minimum stay requirements (2-3 nights) or were fully booked, so I was surprised to find such a great room here at a reasonable price.

Holbrook B&B was well located about 8 mins walk from Shaftesbury Town Centre.This meant we could walk to most of the places we wanted to see.We arrived earlier than expected and the owners kindly let us park in their parking area until the room was ready. Our room was spotless and had everything we needed..hairdryer,kettle etc.Although the room was at the front of the house and overlooking the road ..the traffic noise was insignificant. Breakfast on both days was excellent,plenty of choice and good portions.In all a very pleasant and relaxing stay!

Friendly owners who deliver a superb breakfast. All fresh excellent quality produce & the best coffee. Very close to the lovely town, & within easy walking distance. Room was comfy & very clean. Plenty of tea, coffee, milk & biscuits on hospitality tray & the room had a lovely big window to open for fresh air. Nice toiletries & good quality towels provided.

The décor & furniture is a little dated but the bed was very comfortable.

Easy to get to location, Diane and Ian are lovely and make you feel very welcome. The breakfast are fantastic and set you up for the day. Would definately use again and look forward to our next trip down to Somerset.

Nothing to report, I'm very happy we stayed there. Would recommend the B&B to anyone travelling to somerset or through it. Lovely People and Lovely location. Great place to stay.

Property was clean, tidy and comfortable. hosts where excellent - friendly and respectful. Lots of shops just a few minutes walk from the b&b. I had room 3 which is at the rear of the property and have to say it was the best sleep I’ve had at any b&b so far.

It really is minor but I was a little cold on arrival and wanted the heating on, I turned the dials but nothing happened but later they came on perhaps on a timer. As stated this was a very minor point and I’m sure if I spoke with the hosts they would have sorted it out for me.

We had the twin room which was very comfortable and quiet. Had everything we needed for the night and Diane and Ian were so lovely, letting us use their iron and introducing us to their dogs Willow and Maisie. The breakfast was delicious and the room was really clean. Can't recommend highly enough if you're looking for a place to stay in Shaftesbury!

Ian and Diane were the perfect host, taking time to get to know you personally. The rooms has full tea and coffee facilities with biscuits and cream for the coffee. The beds were very comfortable and the shower had great pressure and a good size. Breakfast was rather special too, with fresh strawberries, raspberries and blueberries, cereal and yoghurtsfollowed by a full english. As Mary Poppins would say. 'Practically perfect in every way'

The house is in a great location - just over the road from a shop and couple of food outlets (KFC, Domino's, kebab place). It's a short walk into the town centre and a Tesco's. The rooms are comfortable and well equipped, and we were given fresh milk for teas and coffees on arrival. We had a great chat with the owners and loved the UK and world map in the dining room which was full of pins to mark where visitors were from. We asked for a recommendation for a place to eat - but when we got there we found they were fully booked. So we opted to head back to the KFC over the road and brought food back to the B&B. We were offered the dining room to eat in and were even given plates, cutlery, and sauces. The breakfast was great and we were offered fresh fruit too.

The road passing the B&B is busy, but the front room we had came with double glazing to keep out most of the noise. It didn't stop me getting a good nights sleep in a massive bed and I plan to return in the future when I visit the area to photograph the stunning views from the town and countryside.

On arrival the parking was very easy with plenty of room. We had a lovely welcome from Ian and Diane - the room was very comfortable and had everything we needed. The breakfast was really good - plenty of choice and the cooked breakfast was great. Ian and Diane made us feel really at home, great sense of humour and interesting to talk to.

Can't think of any improvements

Great location, walking distance to town center. Friendly, helpful hosts who recommended a lovely Italian restaurant. Great breakfast plenty of choice. Lovely room with fresh flowers and everything you would need for your stay shower gel, toothpaste, tea, coffee and biscuits etc. Even fresh milk in a flask. Would recommended it to family and friends. Plenty of places to visit around area only a short drive away. Will definitely return. Thank you Diane and Ian.
