Breakfast was very, very good. All fresh and lovely hot coffee, all served with smiles and a warm welcome. Our room was very comfortable and very clean, the shower was superb, lovely hot water. We had an evening meal both nights of our stay, absolutely lovely and very generous portions. All in all we think we found the perfect pub, we felt we were really welcome. Will definitely be back and would recommend it to others.

Nothing to dislike.

Beautiful, quiet location and very little noise from the pub itself especially at closing time ! Owner and staff were all wonderful, very welcoming and friendly, nothing was too much trouble and breakfast was cooked to perfection. We also enjoyed our evening meal in the pub, decent menu and excellent value for money! The “gin special” went down a treat too ! Family room was spacious, light and airy, beds were really comfy ! We especially enjoyed having a separate area to sit and watch t.v. however the sofa bed wasn’t that comfortable to sit on,but there are 2 armchairs …..which were. The hot water tap didn’t work in the hand basin , but we forgot to tell Corrine, I’m sure if we had it would have been attended to promptly.. All in all, a lovely village pub with a great atmosphere, that suited our needs well. We would definitely stay again if visiting the area.

Nothing really .

loved the pub, the staff and locals were very friendly the place was clean and comfortable when asked for a short walk to do in the morning, we were sent on lovely walk by the cannel that we hadn't realised was soo close

can't say we disliked anything - only a comment, breakfast was ok, could have been brilliant. It is lovely that it is cooked for you, and they use local ingredients - it is just that a cooked breakfast is such a treat for us that we do like it if it includes options like black pudding and mushrooms, maybe fried bread - sorry, just a comment

Breakfasts were fabulous. Cereals and juice ready on arrival. Then superb full cooked breakfasts and lots of toast too. Tea and coffee, as much as we wanted. One of our group is a vegan. No problem, oat milk and vegan breakfast available. Claire was lovely, friendly and very helpful suggesting great places to eat. Our rooms were fabulous, clean and well equipped. The family room had a lounge area too which was perfect for us to get together from the other rooms too for the evenings. Price was fabulous. Cannot fault this superb bed and breakfast. We visited Lichfield, National Arboretum and Tamworth. Great base. We are 4 friends of many years, celebrating my 60th. Thank you to the whole team. You made our stay very special.

Not a single problem.

Location was good. Breakfast was excellent and catered for a special diet well. Plenty of parking space. Generally a nice spot to stay at compared to hotel chains in towns.

Room was very cold when we first entered it. The duvets were quite small compared to the beds. Television noise from room adjacent could have been disturbing. It wasn't, as the occupant kept the volume to low level which was nice of them.

Perfect for those who need ground floor access. Easy access outside normal opening hours. Corrine & Michael where great hosts and run a friendly pub close to Lichfield. Easy to find and park. Basic but comfortable accommodation in quiet converted stable block next to a traditional old English country pub. Good value.

The shower is very small.

There was plenty of choice for breakfast and it was well cooked, thank you.

I altered my booking to include a second occupant but there were only one set of towels provided and this wasn't rectified when I asked, however, the venue was very busy that day and it may have slipped the landlady's mind.

One night stay. Good location. Plenty of car parking. Accommodation was clean and comfortable in a separate building to the main pub (just a few steps). Quality food available in the pub and breakfast was cooked to order. Great staff. Close to the Trent & Mersey Canal for nice walk.

Room was fine and comfortable and the food too. Car park close to room too which is always a bonus when you have heavy gear to get in. Wi-Fi worked well too.

Only down side was the bedroom walls could do with some more insulation. Plenty of sound transmission from the adjacent room.
