Rooms at the Inn0

Everything was straight forward and uncomplicated. The room was clean. The shower temperature was stable. It was close to where I needed to work. I've stayed a few times and each room had a double bed so it's good for solo travellers and couples.

My low score for 'facilities' stems from the fact that they don't do food, on occasions they might have a food truck but that isn't something you can bank on, so don't. They do have two supermarkets near by and some local take-outs so you're not completely out of luck, but it would be a bonus if they did catering as well. Their parking is sometimes taken up by pub visitors. There is other free local parking, but be warned, the public car park is only free between certain hours. I imagine booking in can only be done during pub opening times so double check if you need a 24 hour reception

Great location, right in the town center, made for easy days out round town, awesome places for breakfast nearby aswell which was really great, room was warm and comfortable, super handy having the fridge in our room, we would definitely stay again really good value for money and all the staff we came into contact with were lovely

Slightly noisy as our room was above the bar however it wasn't really intrusive and didn't stop us from getting a good night's sleep, door rattled a little with movement in the hallway but I'm nit picking, overall can't complain

From arrival, we were made to feel welcome by all staff. Bar was friendly and vibrant. Good selection of beers. Rooms were great value and spotless. Well decorated and in good state of repair. 4 in a bed winners and we all agreed well deserved. Great location for us as we were fishing locally. Cant say enough good about this, will be back soon.

Would of been nice to be able to offer breakfast. However plenty of places to be able to get this in the area.

Easy check in, staff friendly and helpful Room was small room 8 but perfect for an over night stay Room was modem & clean Close to shops & places to eat perfect parking area The pub that’s attached is nice lively and friendly The pub just down the road is very loud so if you don’t like noise it’s not for you (this wasn’t a problem for us) Lovely stay would defo recommend or visit again in the near future

The previous guests half drank coke in the fridge But nothing to complain about

Apart from the noise of the band on the first night, and being directly opposite a fire station, it was actually in a quiet area. Perfectly located for shops and amenities, and parking was available. The rooms are very clean and comfortable, with tea and coffee facilities, a hairdryer, towels, a small fridge and an iron and ironing board. All in all I would highly recommend this hotel if you are having a short stay in Retford.

The rooms are situated above a pub, and on the night we arrived a live band were playing. The barman who gave us our key apologised profusely about the noise and assured us it would finish at 11:30pm, which it did. The noise didn't particularly bother us, but for others booking, it might be an issue.

Close proximity to town. Free parking (... although only six parking spaces for ten rooms). Nice clean/well furnished room (... very compact).

Window kept jamming and coming off runner. Kettle kept switching off before coming to boil. After displaying the two days Guest Parking Permit as received on the dashboard ... coming back from a walk around the town on the first day to find a note tucked behind the wiper advising "this is a private car park belonging to rooms at the inn (not the pub and not for public use) please refrain from parking here. We have noted your registration, we will be monitoring this."

The pre stay info was great as was going into the pub to register the vehicle as pre arranged, the only downside to pre stay was parking and some lady from upstairs shouting down that it was a private car park and I should move to a council car park. Retford was a really nice little town, the staff in the pub were fantastic and it was a comfortable stay.

Only downside is there is no soundproofing between the pub and the rooms, otherwise I thoroughly enjoyed the stay. The lady shouting from upstairs shouldn’t presume the worst and maybe be more welcoming.

The room was extremely clean and comfortable with a lovely ensuite bathroom. It had a big window which would be especially beneficial in summer. There was also plenty of storage space and I liked the provision of a fridge. Not needing to check out at a reception was another plus since I had to leave before 9am. As a chocoholic I found the Roses on the bed a delightful welcome!

I felt a bit uncomfortable with writing down card details rather than the payment being taken via a machine. They were kept securely, I was assured they would be destroyed and most people are honest but there was still a niggle they might fall into the wrong hands. The radiator should have been on a lower setting in view of the exceptionally mild weather. I needed to open the window to cool the room. Also it was difficult working out how to regulate the shower temperature without instructions as the shower wasn't one with a temperature dial. The kettle should have had a bottle of water to fill it with, too.

Beautiful clean room with a lovely, welcoming feel. Key fob access to the front of the building so you could come and go as you please. The room had a mini fridge which was a wonderful little touch. We went for the standard room but it felt plenty big enough with plenty of storage with high ceilings which gave it a spacious feel. It had a nice big shower room with shampoo supplied. We thought it was excellent that you could just leave your keys in the basket on your way out. Very convenient location to visit the town. Excellent value for money!

Everything was perfect, they had some live music on at the pub but it didn't go on too late and it is nice to hear people having a nice time after a difficult few years!

No nonsense accomodation maintained to a very high standard. Room was vdery clean and had everything we would need for a one night stay. Good location giving easy access to A1. Accomodation is literally 2 mins walk away from town centre. Surprisingly quiet considering location.

I dont think anything could have been done better. However those considering booking this accomodation need to be aware that on arrival you will need to submit your credit card details in full, (inc card number, exp date and 3 digit number on back) which are written on a slip of paper and kept in a file in the cupboard of the Bar. I am sure that the details are kept secure and destroyed when stay is completed, but this is a high level of trust required!
