Chevin End Guest House

We've stayed here twice now and would definitely recommend. Rooms are spacious and clean with everything you could need in there and if it isn't just ask and it will be provided. We had a family room and there's plenty space to set up the travel cot for our baby even with a double bed (which was very comfortable) & 2 single beds. The location is stunning, green fields out of every window and a couple of pubs serving food in a 5 minute driving distance. A good decent full English breakfast to start the day with a good choice of cereals and juice. Perfect place for a relaxing stay

The accommodation block is arranged in a courtyard style. Our room had a beautiful view over the fields and the room was nice and spacious. Breakfast was great and served in a very attractive dining room with a roaring fire and attractively decorated with local pictures. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. Chevin End Guest House is in a beautiful location and only a 10-12 min drive into Ilkley. The Chevin pub is right next door for good food and drink and with a nice atmosphere. Would definitely stay again!

Only small downside was the design of the bathroom. The shower was nice and hot, but it is in a wet room style so the whole bathroom floor gets wet. Also very little space to put things, an extra shelf would be helpful

Spectacular scenery. The staff were friendly and attentive. The room and bathroom were clean and comfortable. There was an electric heater in the room which was very efficient. Ventilation was good. There was off road parking. The breakfast was well cooked and there was a good choice of food.

I did feel cold the first night because the windows were wide open when we arrived. This may have been because the property is dog friendly so the room needed airing, The following two nights were fine and it would not stop me booking a room there again.

The view is magnificent, the room was warm, comfortable, very high spec too, loved the bathroom because of the shower and space. Wifi was terrific, I say this as I had to host a webinar from the room and had no issues at all. A great mattress led to a perfect night of sleep, Nicky delivered a breakfast bag to me the morning I left. Her focus on the comfort and satisfaction of customers is obvious and appreciated after a longish drive on a wet squally day. I drove to a lovely nearby restaurant called The Westbourne, if you don't want to drive, the pub is a few yards away and serves food too.

Absolutely nothing at all.

The room was a good size, very clean and equipped with all we could possibly need. We loved having cattle right outside the window at times. The breakfast was perfect and served with a smile! Nicky was a delightful and very helpful hostess. The view was magnificent.

The ceiling smoke alarm light was unnecessarily bright. The hot water was excessively hot though once we knew this it was easily mixed with cold to produce the right temperature.. Neither point detracted from our genuine enjoyment of the room.

Absolutely beautiful place. Setting was perfect. We were warmly greeted by Nicky who directed us to our room. Nicky was so friendly every time we saw her. Room was comfortable and spotlessly clean. Views were stunning with cows and sheep in the field in front of our window. Tea, coffee , biscuits and a sweetie jar were replenished everyday. Shower was hot and powerful. Fresh towels provided. Breakfast was delicious (lovely sausages) All breakfast staff were very kind and friendly, took time to chat and ask about our visit. Everything was absolutely perfect for our visit to the emmerdale tour and finding this amazing place made our visit to the area special Thank you all at Chevin guest house We will return and recommend you to everyone.

There wasn't anything not to like

Chevin End Guest House is an absolutely brilliant place to stay, The location is amazing with stunning views of the beautiful Yorkshire countryside. The room was immaculate. It was cosy and warm with a very comfortable bed and an excellent ‘wet room’ bathroom. The owner and staff were so warm and welcoming. Breakfast was superb- brilliant quality local produce served by the friendly staff in the excellent dining room. Our whole experience was100% enjoyable. I could not recommend Chevin End Guest House more highly.

I cannot think of anything that could improve Chevin End Guest House- just a perfect place to stay.

The room was super comfortable with fresh white linen and pillows. Clean bathroom and clean towels were provided. I was blown away by the view to outside from my room. You open the curtains of a French double door and you are greeted with this breath taking view of mountains in the distant and a magnificent field with farm animals close by. I remember making myself a cup of coffee and sat at the decking patio admiring it all. It was a sunny morning so I was lucky in that respect. there`s also a pub at the premises that serves good food. It`s about 20 yards away from the cottages. The stuff was/is very friendly and customer service is beyond excellent. The Breakfast at Chevin End Guest Cottages was so beautifully made and I think its down to the fact that they make it specifically for the guest who would have requested that particular meal. My Omelette was scrumptious and the Full English was the best I`ve had in a very very long time and I don`t say this lightly. There was a variety of fruits,cereals,rolls,juices and spreads.

My OCD is triggered when floors are water splashed so the shower in my room was not a full enclosure cubicle. When I showered, water splashed on to one side of the floor where I`d use to step out of the shower. other than that. THIS PLACE IS THE BEST TO GO TO WHEN YOU WISH TO GET AWAY AND RELAX YOUR BODY AND MIND.

Very good breakfast- well cooked and homely. Good choice of fruit and good coffee, which to me is a good sign as well made coffee is a real hit with us. Nicky and her team were just lovely. Nothing was too much trouble. Very good customer service care all round. We loved the comfortable beds, the views and the peaceful surroundings. Cannot recommend it highly enough. Nicki makes the place what it is that’s for sure.

Nothing really / it was just great. Fluffier towels perhaps but really, not a big deal. Slept so well. The view from our window was just so calming - big sky, grazing cows and quiet all round. There was so much to LIKE!

The views from the french windows were gorgeous with a terrace to walk out onto. This also had some garden furniture. Nice selection of tea, coffee and some sweets too, Very modern, clean bathroom. Comfy bed. The owner was helpful and friendly. We were able to park the car outside the chalet. The Chevin Pub is within a short walk.

This was not advertised as a disabled room, so I cannot complain, but some grab rails in the bathroom would have been helpful. Getting a wheelchair or walker onto the terrace was also very difficult. Some kind of mini ramp would have helped
