Longworth Hall Hotel

Beautiful grounds and building in a quiet location, central for travel to Hereford, Leominster, Ledbury, Ross on Wye. Breakfasts were lovely and staff very warm, friendly and couldn't do enough for you. We would return and stay in different room

We had to fiddle with the indoor TV aerial to get a good reception on TV Pillows were too flat to support sitting up in wood framed bed. Toilet had a leak at base and staff had placed a towel at back to collect water leak. Toilet water was discoloured - not due to waste Stayed in a triple room as had a cheap deal for 4 nights, but this was located at back of building with a full skip of old furniture under window and where staff have cigarette breaks and chats

I would describe Longworth Hall Hotel as "fading grandeur". It is a beautiful building that must be very difficult to maintain and, in my opinion, in need of a little TLC. I have no complaints about my stay there. The staff was excellent, the room was very comfortable and extremely large (bonus!). The beds were very comfortable and the breakfast was excellent. Had I been able to access the menu online before my stay there, I may well have booked in for dinner but, unfortunately, I could not get their website to display the menus.

Better access to the menus via their own website. Somewhere to hang wet towels (hooks on back of bedroom door broken)

We had a lovely stay at Longworth Hall, we were attending a wedding so couldn’t check in until after 11pm - Jess was really accommodating and made it easy for us to check in, which was greatly appreciated! The hotel is a blast from the past, very grand and historic. If you like tradition, history and nostalgia you will love Longworth Hall. Very clean rooms with tea and coffee machine and a bottle of water each. Our highlight was breakfast…! After a night of dancing at the wedding it was just what we needed… The coffee was good and the cooked breakfast was delicious, all served in a lovely dining room overlooking the beautiful grounds. Thank you to Jess who was really lovely and made us feel very welcome. Hopefully we can return and have a proper stay with time to enjoy the grounds and area…

It was a unique beautiful hotel. Very quiet location but only a short distance from Hereford. The room was stunning. Huge and had nice little touches like proper sized mugs and a coffee machine. The staff were super friendly and very accommodating especially as I was a little early to check in.

There was a consistent humming (from the kitchen air con?) that was slightly annoying but didn’t prevent me from sleeping. Also I would have liked a light in the little ‘ante space’ between my main room door and the bedroom and bathroom doors (even just a movement sensitive night light or similar) because all the doors where self closing fire doors which meant end up in darkness especially when coming out of the bathroom!

Lovely oldy, worldy property, high ceilings, beautiful staircase..BIG bedrooms & Clean. Nice lounge & bar available. Central Location & scienic Views FABULOUS 👌 Garden with seating. FREE parking, Excellent breakfast. Complimentary water bottles in room, kettle and good coffee machine... Staff are amazing, polite & couldn't do enough for you! ❤️ waking up to the view every morning 👏

I booked 5 rooms for a family get-together, we had such an enjoyable time here ..but l had to tell the receptionist ..TWO of the rooms, needed totally NEW MATRESS'S, possibly a third..... Priority, Comfort is essential.. There is a difference between use to your own bed and being in another, but NOT feeling springs!!! I was told it would be reported to Management .. l hope they take heed. Otherwise, l would have given 10/ 10. A suggestion would be to install a lift ...

Excellent breakfast nice field mushrooms and lovely fresh vine tomatoes. Choice of cereal and yoghurt as well. Staff very friendly and helpfull. Rooms very clean and ours was huge and comfortable Nice garden with lovely views

Husband couldnt get tv working properly only bbc channels. However if he had gone down and asked staff I am sure they would have helped him. Unfortunately we stayed Sunday Monday and Tuesday night and the restaurant was closed and so we had to eat out. The menu looked nice i would have liked to have tried it. Just unfortunate.

Location was brilliant - we loved being out in the country. We felt the garden and the inside of the hotel itself needed a little TLC but the staff worked really hard for all guests and were very helpful. We had a hot water problem which they dealt with immediately. Although we hadn't realised we needed to book an evening meal in advance, the hotel agreed when we arrived that we could order one, and it was really delicious. Altogether a luxury stay.

See above. Breakfast was quite sparse - porridge would be a helpful option and easily done with the instants available.

The breakfast was well done, the cooked breakfast was attractively laid out with normal choice of cereals. The magnificent Georgian period 18th century house has real presence and retains so many original features with its high ceilings and delightfully detailed cornices. It's a standard of house that most will never stay in and that is what is to be enjoyed in our opinion. It offers a sense of style of a bygone age, it is not a modern house packed with modern gadgets that will never last the near 300 years that this house has been standing.

Absolutely nothing was not liked at all and the only recommendation would be to offer a more artisan type of bread for breakfast. Aside from that one suggestion, we were well satisfied.

Beautiful country home in lovely surroundings, very peaceful, lovely views, room was huge, and a real bargain for the price! Breakfast was a little bit sparse, but overall a lovely Hotel for the money, and much nice to stay in than a bland chain hotel

Breakfast was a little sparse, no real options, and a small portions, but it was tasty and well cooked and clean - Hotel overall is a little tired, but it's a stately home and these kind of properties are never like modern built hotels, they have atmosphere and character

Staff extremely welcoming, helpful, polite and professional. Peaceful, quiet and calming stay. Original features of building. Availability of full or any variant of cooked breakfast. Views of Herefordshire countryside and distance from the city.

It's April in England - the weather! With a multi million pound restoration/maintenance fund this would be a luxury boutique hotel with the current hospitality, cleanliness, charm it remains an accessible affordable beautiful Herefordshire stay.
