Lea House Bed and Breakfast

The innkeeper Andy and his wife Sophie were very kind and accommodating- they allowed my mum and her dog to join me on short notice for the second night of my stay, and were present on both arrival and departure to help with the tight parking situation - in the rain no less! Very kind people taking good care of their guests. Sophie's breakfasts were fab as were the nearby nature walks.

The decor was of eclectic taste, and I was asked not to run the bath on account of cost. The 500 year-old building had some phantom residents as to be expected. All in all a full-spectrum experience.

On booking.com it says that there is a pub and Indian restaurant in the village. However this has now closed down so this information needs changing. Nearest eating place is a 25 minute walk away ( or 5 minute drive)

Very comfortable and private lounge - huge and full of interesting objects.Excellent bedrooms with large en suites. Generous range of teas. Very good breakfast - lots of choice and beautifully cooked. Thank you Andy and Sophie.

Nothing at all. Only problem - it was a bit difficult to get a local meal on a Tuesday night as 2 pubs didn't do food that day and at one recommended the chef was away. But we found the Weston Cross to be very welcoming.

The friendliness' of Andy & Sofie was great made us feel at home!!! They wanted to help carry the baggage. The room was spacious with a very comfortable bed!!! The shower was great. They were helpful with info about local eateries & also places to visit. Breakfast was very good I had Kippers every morning Yvonne enjoyed scrambled egg. It was great can't wait to return.

The room was comfortable, good facilities. Breakfast options were extremely good, and the quality also brilliant. Owners very helpful and pleasant. Charging cube on bed side tables was a nice touch with usb, plug sockets, and wireless charging which avoided the usual crawl round looking for sockets.

Car park very tight, however this was mitigated by the owners kindly guiding us in and out so not too big an issue.

Breakfast was fabulous 10/10, two courses which you chose from a menu ahead of the day and there were lots of options. Food was good quality and lots of it which filler me up for the day ahead. It was a relaxed atmosphere and we didn’t feel rushed. The property had character and personality, the room was clean and huge with en-suite. The hosts were also really friendly, helpful and genuine.

Cooked/full English breakfast was excellent. Beds very cosy and comfortable. Very helpful, friendly and welcoming hosts. Great selection of herbal tea bags! and fresh milk for the regular tea.

The location was super convenient for where we needed to be, however being by a roadside means there was some road/traffic noise - as we live in a very rural location we're just not used to that.

Excellent location for travelling by bus intoRoss on Wye, Hereford and Gloucester. Superb breakfast with many choices, all very tasty and perfectly cooked. Most comfortable bed ! Beautiful house, spotlessly clean, with everything you need

No room for improvement, everything was perfect!

Andy the host met us as soon as we drove in and was so helpful getting the car squeezed in. He was so cheerful and full of handy info. The room was nice and big, everything worked properly first time. Super breakfast cooked fresh to order. They even have their own traffic lights to get you back on the road!

For the purpose of our trip, the location of Lea House B&B was perfect, the accommodation was perfect in all aspects and the hosts were very welcoming, very informative and the breakfast choice was 10/10 . Will definitely be visiting again and absolutely recommend this little gem B&B 👍
