Bush Hotel Farnham

This is a gorgeous little hotel that was super comfy and homely. I wanted a country town getaway before I flew back to nz and this was perfect. Car park was great, food and drinks were amazing, the staff were super helpful and friendly. I would absolutely stay here again.

There isn't a lift to get your bags upstairs and I was at the end of my four week trip around Europe so I had ridiculous luggage. The staff did see me with my bags though and they leaped to help me which I very much appreciated. The air con in my room wasn't working. I didn't worry about it as the weather was chilly so I didn't need it but I'd say if that heat wave makes its way back, you'd want that fixed.

Room and hotel were lovely nice friendly staff

Breakfast, food was nice but having to make your own tea and coffee, serve your own food except eggs and some days getting yours eggs on toast, other day being told to cook your own toast. With a long queue you had cold eggs, or cold bacon sausage etc that you had collected 10 minutes before and your toast was cold to. At £25 a head for breakfast it should be served not self service. And no decaf coffee, and no trays to move your teapot, milk jug, cup and saucer.plate of food waiting for eggs to be cooked and cereals and fruit.

Everything. The room was spacious clean comfortable and had a view out the window. Location was central to everything. The staff were exemplary in helpfulness and customer service. The Operations Manager, Kash, and General Manager, Francesco joined the staff in serving customers etc. Kash even provided us with an evening meal when the dining room was technically closed. Both be Kash and Francesco engaged us in conversation making as feel very welcome. 100%

Can’t think of a bad thing to say. This was one of our best accommodation experiences in our 5 week self-drive touring holiday in the UK.

A really lovely hotel and the perfect base for us to visit our daughter who is a student at the UCA. The location is right in the centre of town but the hotel feels calm, quiet and relaxed. We particularly enjoyed the garden in the afternoon and having a quiet drink in the bar during the evening. Our room was quiet and comfortable, our Sunday lunch was delicious and the breakfast was excellent with a marvellous selection of breakfast options and fresh coffee. Best of all were the staff who were friendly and welcoming and absolutely wonderful throughout our stay.

This a sweet historic hotel in the centre of the town of Farnham (a very pretty location). The building has been renovated very tastefully (except for the carpet in the bedroom corridors which is an ugly grey pattern).

They don’t accept cash for food or in the bar. I don’t have a UK bank account so paying with foreign bank cards is expensive when you consider exchange rates and bank charges. The room had AC but it was restricted to 23 deg. C. This is a bit cool for me (in February)! Soap, shower gel and shampoo in the guest room bathroom was in dispenser bottles fixed to the walls - this devalues the experience as it would be more suitable in a Premier Inn.

The room was warm and comfortable and most of the employees were very helpful and friendly but the cooked breakfast was a little odd. Eggs benedict with cheap ham rather than smoked salmon. Apart from that, all good

The young woman on reception, when I arrived, didn't ask if I needed help with my heavy bags. First impressions count. I often travel long distances with my job and although I was told that I had been upgraded to a room on the first' floor, for which I am grateful, the stairs were still a challenge, after a long train journey. I understand she may have been new to the job, so I recommend, that you ask if you need help.

Everything went well, arriving easily, parking was very simple, checking in, having an excellent dinner, staying in an amazing room with a terrace and view on the beautiful garden, having a perfect breakfast the next day ... Our stay could only have been better by adding more days to it and staying for longer! The staff is very friendly, happy and motivated. It is not a new hotel, but it has a lot of charm with its gorgeous inside garden and it is very centrally located.

Everything was to our liking!

The room was clean and while fitted with modern materials and a solid floor rather than a carpet (very good for cleanliness!) it still felt more in keeping with the overall atmosphere of the hotel which is much older. I really enjoyed having a quiet whisky in the bar lounge late in the evening. The atmosphere was welcoming and warm in spite of the miserable weather and I was able to enjoy the time reading. I received a call shortly after arriving at my room for the first time to check that everything was as expected and whether I needed anything else. I really appreciated this touch.

It would be useful if there was a drop-off zone in the hotel parking area. It appears to be restricted only to guest parking with fines for vehicles entering without a permit, and the public parking area near to the hotel is busy and somewhat expensive. It is possible to drop off outside the front of the hotel on South Street, not sure how busy that can be, although it wasn't busy when I stayed and so perhaps is a reasonable workaround.

Very pleasant and friendly staff. Plenty of car parking spaces. Lovely hotel building. Comfy room and bed. Bar stayed open till late for us. Location for town centre is excellent.

My room was quite a walk from reception which was fine until I got to my room in the early hours and found my door card had stopped working, meaning a frustrating long walk back to reception again!. Also, I thought the room price was a little high an didn't include breakfast either... Having said that it suited my needs for the night and will probably stay there again.

Staff were friendly and polite and accommodating. Beautiful property.

Room felt a little sparse. Interior design didn't match the beauty of the property. I feel the rooms could be re-decorated but all in all, nothing wrong with them to affect your stay. Silly little milk pods to make a tea or coffee so there are never enough but staff did bring up an entire jug of milk when I requested more milk which was very nice of them. Coffee machine as well as a little kettle would be an improvement as most hotels have coffee pod machines in the rooms these days.
