Very warm and friendly welcome from the hosts. Very friendly helpful staff. We booked a small double for one night. The room was very compact but perfectly adequate. Very good shower. Bed very comfortable. Very nice countryside location. A good ambience in the bar/restaurant. Very small menu choice for food but the food was very enjoyable. Excellent breakfast with very good choice.

Carpet in the room was very tired. Not an issue but a little more attention to detail would help. Room only had towels for one person which the host noticed when they showed us to the room but there was also only one cup and glass and coffee sachets for one person. We were able to request these from the person in the bar. Breakfast was a little slow to arrive.

The staff and the pubs local customers were very welcoming friendly and made me feel included The food was well prepared and plenty of it. The location is rural with some nice walks although I didn’t get the chance to see for myself. There were a lot of walkers visiting . The room although compact was spotlessly clean and comfy.

I wouldn’t say that I didn’t like anything but perhaps breakfast could have been from 7:30am instead of 8am. I was staying for business reasons and had to be in Crawley for a 9am start. The journey is about 49 mins so I didn’t get a chance for proper sit down breakfast. However the staff did very kindly make me a pack up to go for my onward journey for which I was very grateful. The extra half an hour would have just been handy for those like myself attending on business.

We hiked from Guildford to stay at the Plough Inn overnight, as a birthday celebration. Second time we have done this & we would do it again. Only regret was that we had not checked in advance about dinner and it turned out the restaurant was not open on Sunday evenings, so we had to order take away, but the staff were very helpful & accommodating and tried their absolute best to make our stay enjoyable.

The rooms at the front are not very well sound-insulated, but it is extremely quiet at night and so was not a problem (plus the pub does not stay open very late in the evenings).

Meal and breakfast were lovely for this Inn in the middle of the Surrey Hills. good quality ingredients and menu. Their little shop nattached does amazing sausage rolls and pasties that are cooked at the Inn - seriously best ever had! :-) Will be back for more and to taste the beer from their micro brewery when it's available again.

The entrance to the bedrooms is via the outside but luckily it wasn't raining when we were there. The back entrance area was a bit untidy and shabby when we were there, which is a shame as the Inn is nice inside and the rooms are fine also

Gorgeous country pub in a quaint village. Exceptional hospitality from Niamh (hope we've spelt your name right!). We landed in Gatwick early hours with an acquired foot injury from our holiday, Niamh rang us at 8.30am and said we could check in to get some rest as our room was ready. Niamh was absolutely lovely, a real credit to the business and obvious she has a genuine passion for her role, can't thank her enough. Evening meal and breakfast were gorgeous, absolutely no complaints. Lovely friendly atmosphere at night time. Room was immaculately clean and decorated lovely. Its a shame we live so far away as would definitely visit more often if we could. Would highly recommend, even if just for the food :)

We had a great stay! The room was small but extremely clean and had all amenities required. The staff at the inn were really friendly and helpful. There was plenty of parking (although it was slightly more difficult on a Sunday!) There were many options for breakfast, hearty portions and delicious. :) The location was in the heart of Surrey Hills, conveniently located next to Leith Hill!

It was a quiet room in general, but we could hear someone hoovering at 5am on the first night. The mattress was also on the soft side, but this really wasn't too big a problem. There weren't too many vegetarian options for dinner, but breakfast choices were fab!

Beautiful inside and out Spoiler alert: *this place is a gem* We kind of booked our stay at this pub by chance, not knowing the area, but of course drawn by the outstanding reviews. How right we were! Our time there went way above and beyond our expectations. Indeed, what we expected was a three-night stay with a nice breakfast. What we got was a three-night break in what felt like a holiday resort, with the nicest company. Who would have thought we would comme across such an absolutely authentic and heart-warming society - the kind of crowd you only see in movies or read about in books. From the staff members to the locals - who come by quote “way too often” - everyone touched us with their kindness and their open-mindedness. Let’s not forget about the magnificent view and the beautiful ride you get to experience when driving up there. We wanted to say a special thanks to Jasmin and Niamh who dealt with a kitchen issue superbly, always a kind smile on their face, to Kevin for his infectious gratitude and positivity, and to Enes for his top of the range professionalism, management and service. Thank you also to the rest of the team, as we unfortunately cannot cite everyone by name. We will come back and hopefully for a little bit longer next time.

The Plough is a classic country pub which we prefer staying at and to support their business. We had the evening meal and cooked breakfast which were both excellent. The staff were courteous and very attentive. The bedroom was cosy and peaceful for a good nights sleep. To get to the Plough in the village of Coldharbour from the town of Dorking you have carefully drive along one of Surrey's beautiful "sunken lanes" - the narrow lane with the canopy of trees clinging to the banks either side is a delight in itself.

Came here with my mum for the weekend and had an absolutely fantastic stay. Really lovely location out in the quiet countryside, lovely to breathe some fresh air, clear your head and explore the beautiful local nature and biodiversity of the Surrey Hills. We climbed up to the top of Leith Hill (as recommended by Kev, who was really attentive, funny and charming!). Comfy beds, absolutely delicious English food, amazing shower and just a generally warm, welcoming atmosphere.

Definitely need a car to come here!

We liked everything about this place! The team were really helpful even before our arrival and went extra mile to treat us as a five-star hotel (to be honest, you don’t always get this feeling of hospitality at high-end chains). The room was spacious and the cot was waiting for us as requested. The food was exceptional, compliments to the chef! Breakfast was very full and varied. We stayed only for a night with our two-year old, but would love to stay more if we could.
