The rooms were really lovely, spacious, exceptionally clean and very easy to access. The owners were really kind and helpful and the pub itself was lovely. The location of the Inn/Pub is out in the country which suited us perfectly. The breakfast was also spot on with plenty of choice. I really cannot fault this location, can recommend it and would certainly return again. Big thank you to everyone there (and the locals in the pub) who were all so welcoming and kind.

I love the Breakfast, and there were lots of options for vegetarians as well. The staff was so good and helpful. It was my first stay here and I felt that its quite far from the station and there is no proper car/taxi service to reach there, and we got a little scared as well as the location was so quiet. But we got lucky and found a nice Taxi driver who helped us a lot. And location was completely opposite when we reach there. People were so nice and the Staff as well. And I literally enjoyed my stay and looked after having another one.

The landlord and staff were very friendly and helpful. The locals were very sociable and made us feel welcome. The Sunday roast was amazing, very generous portions and lovely and hot.

The ensuite was quite small but we had no problems, the wardrobe door opened the wrong way but the positives far out weighed the negatives. It would not put me off going again or recommending the property to friends or family.

Myself and my husband we both enjoyed staying for a night. we liked the location and overall hospitality including breakfast and and dinner. We were welcomed nicely and had a comfortable room to stay and get relaxed. Overall would recommend oak at Dewlish to stay to be relaxed before continuing exploring the city and visiting durdle door beach side. 🥰

Nice, clean and comfortable place. Also, the food was excellent and great value for money. We all enjoyed our stay. Excellent breakfast in the morning.

Knowing that the owner lives right opposite your room but it's not really a big deal as they haven't made any noise or caused any problem. Also, the kettle was broken.

Good country inn situated in small village in middle of Dorset, a little further from Dorchester than we expected but enjoyed exploring. Had a good "buzz" during the evening since used by locals. Good range of food served during evening and what we had was tasty and nicely presented.

Thought place would be quiet after closing time but kept awake until early hours. Noise coming from snooker room below and residents running up/down stairs, slamming doors!

From the outside, the pub looks a bit tired, but on entering, it has a lovely village pub atmosphere, great service and food, and the rooms were big, bright and clean. Would recommend.

Only that the bathroom needed a freshen up. Was a little limescaled and the shower itself looks like it was on its last legs.

Lovely pub in a picturesque Dorset village, very quiet and peaceful. Ideally placed for visiting Dorchester (Maiden castle), the Jurassic coast and Corfe castle. Very friendly pub staff and great food and beer. We were made to feel very welcome. A revisit is definitely on the cards

Nothing , it was all good

Rustic and very charming village pub, bit middle-of-nowhere so the roads to get there are an adventure (including a cow traffic jam, which is always entertaining). Absolutely nothing to complain about - very high quality overall.
