Woodlands Park Hotel

Very good breakfast, hot breakfast served at table. Good choice of cereals and fresh fruit. Beautiful breakfast room. Beds very comfy and everything was quiet. Our room had a good size, with coffee, tea and even biscuits provided. We only had a small meal at the restaurant which was ok. Staff very friendly and helpful, with good recommendations of what to do in the area. The house is very beautiful and an event in itself, gives a bit of Downton Abbey feeling.

Nothing to complain about, but a spa would have been lovely!

Beautiful setting and building with an excellent terrace. Room was very well equipped with everything you could need but the standout feature was the friendliness of the staff….from reception to the breakfast waiting staff everyone was lovely - for this reason and it’s very handy location we would definitely stay here again.

The noise from the M25 was a little intrusive whilst on the terrace and the bathroom in our room was a little small but there was not much else.

Your staff were all extremely helpful and wonderfully enthusiastic.

1. A pool and Spa would have made for truly wonderful 'extra' for us. 2. It would have been nice to have a couple of biscuits provided with the occasional pot of coffee / tea. 3. Our breakfast order on last morning was somehow overlooked so we were delayed by 30 mins. It wasn't a disaster though because reception had allowed us a slightly later check out time. We were not in a hurry so all's well that ends well.Thank you

The woodlands grounds of the hotel, the room was fabulous and very clean, the food for dinner and buffet breakfast was excellent, the staff were great.

I found it difficult or unable to adjust the temperature in our room as the AC was a bit too cool at night. At the breakfast buffet in the morning it was a bit confusing on what to do,as we were seated in the overflow room but were not given any guidance by the staff to where the buffet was located and had to ask other guests,then guests were asking us?

The facilities, cleanliness, the staff’s efforts, the beauty of the place and the comfort of the bedroom and living room. All the staff always interested in helping us and making what’s posible to solve problems.

Altough the staff works very hard to attend all guests and expectations their routine fails during extra events, like weddings, birthday parties and so on, mainly on weekends. I would suggest having extra people working in those occasions. The guests would appreciate.

Location and very airy room

Food at the Oak Room is awful . We ordered a wellington beef. It was the worst wellington I ever had. It is worst than M&S instant one. Also the room without bath tub at our suite. The reception staff lady is not considerate. Very strict check out policy at 11 am. Even though they finally allow us to stay for 30 mins more but I won’t bother. We simply won’t come back again!

I booked Woodlands for my pre-wedding private afternoon tea and dinner for 30 ahead of my wedding the next day. This included an overnight stay for 15 people and 2 private dining rooms along with additional rooms to get ready with 2 Make-ip artist and 4 hair stylist all of which was quite complex. From beginning to end they were excellent and everything were delivered to plan. My foreign wedding guest particularly loved the decor, food and service. I personally booked the suite which was fabulous but my guest reported their rooms were also fine.

Everything was absolutely perfect … except at breakfast time when we came down as a family of 4 and got offered two tables of two which were even not close ! What a disappointment not being able to have lunch together. The waiter was not very welcoming and not really eager to help in fixing the issue. Maybe we should have had to book a table for 4 or let the reception know that we would like to have lunch together when we checked in ???? Very disappointing for such an amazing and outstanding hotel. The lady at the Reception was absolutely lovely and kind.

The service of waiters

The food was excellent and, most importantly, the service was the best I've experienced in ages. Nothing was too much trouble. Polite, well presented and very friendly. A lot of hotels/restaurants could learn from here. It was our first visit for a while, due to our location, but it would be our first choice if we were staying in the area. Unlike a lot of businesses, standards have not dropped. Very enjoyable short stay 😊

Superb hotel in a great setting with lovely grounds. We mostly enjoyed it there apart from the breakfast.

Breakfast was a terrible experience, awful service (20 minutes just to get coffee) and a ridiculous young waiter whose father could have been Basil Fawlty. He had no idea whatsoever about how to address my female partner ("love" or "darling" are not appropriate) while the excuses for poor service were beyond redemption.
