Dolphin Rooms

The room and bathroom were of a good size and I was able to control the heating. I liked the fact that the Dolphin rooms isnt the little brick house in dolphin street and is in fact a hotel. A little confusing but a pleasant finding.

The TV was a wee bit small and placed really high on the wall. Couldnt really see it properly from the bed (as it was small) and you couldn't really sit close to it as it was too high. The parking isnt guaranteed and when you have a brand new car its a bit worrying. Spent a long time driving around the streets on occasion looking for a safe space to park. The Dolphin room description is confusing as I was directed to a hotel in another street.. The rooms look nothing like the advertising.

A little confusing . when you arrive at the address given you are directed to the Dovedale hotel across the road that being said though we thought the hotel was fabulous . the staff were helpful and the location was ideal

We booked Dolphin rooms but actually stayed at the Dovedale Hotel which suited us perfectly. We found the bed to be very comfortable and slept very well. Breakfast was lovely and freshly cooked. We would recommend this hotel and would be very happy to stay there again. We appreciated having an iron and hairdryer available in our room as we were attending a wedding.

It would have been nice to have some fruit with our breakfast but this wasn’t included on menu…also muesli not available. However we were able to have hot porridge and lovely whole meal toast as well as a freshly cooked full English breakfast.

Clean, modern rooms. Very comfortable. Good housekeeping. Very good breakfast with plenty of choice and first class service. Rooms are only a 30 sec walk from the main hotel, so very convenient. Managed to find a space in the hotel car park every day. Very helpful and friendly staff, particularly the breakfast waitress, who deserves extra praise. Rooms/hotel are situated 1min walk from the seafront promenade. Next time we are in the area the Dolphin Rooms/Dovedale Hotel will be our first choice.

The jacuzzi bath was amazing and so relaxing after a night out for my birthday. The bedroom was a decent size a with a good sized tv. The staff were really friendly and helpful (i had an issue booking as i tried to book for the 9th of December but on my confirmation email it said the 1st of December so i called up and they cancelled the original booking so i could rebook for the correct date) Since staying here me and my partner have been talking about staying again because we fell in love with the bath! The bed was also very comfortable however it did squeak a lot..

The parking, have to park close up behind someone so you have to move to let them out (got called at 1:30am to move the car to let the car in front out) The kettle was a little dusty and doesn’t look like it had been cleaned (wasn’t bothered as i wasn’t interested in using it) The bathroom was a little small a little difficult to use the toilet as was a bit cramped (but that could just be because i was a little drunk hahah)

Parking could have been a bit better

The Dolphin rooms is a 7 bed house, all ensuite and are part of the big hotel across the road. This was not a problem. The rooms are emaculate, and the staff very friendly. The place is central to the towns amenities and about 75 yards from the main road, across from the beach. We use to stop at the Kingsway Hotel, but found this little gem by accident. Well recommended and will stay again 👍

We stayed at the dovedale hotel which incorporates the dolphin rooms . Loved the location, food and staff were so helpful. My husband who is profoundly deaf was so delighted when they did a Buck’s Fizz breakfast for his birthday. Would stay there every time now . Well done to all thanks

Found the doors heavy but think they were fire doors

The location is amazing with easy access to the promenade and shops. Lovely Breakfast and comfortable bed.

The room was quite small with not a lot of storage space. In particular bedside drawers would be useful. It would be nice to have a caddy in the shower to put your toiletries as they had to go on the floor.

Our family room was modern, spacious, comfortable and clean. Hotel staff were friendly, customer focused and helped to create a welcoming and positive experience. The cooked breakfast was hot, made of quality ingredients and appropriately portioned to satisfy but avoid wastage.
