It was a great location for us. The staff were excellent, good parking, evening food and breakfast was veru good, the pub was cozy and welcoming. Comfy bed. The rooms were a good size and are seperate just opposite the car park with a view of car park and outside pub sitting area - it was very nice.

It is on a very busy cross road. Our pillows were hard and thin, but was resolved the following morning quickly. There was a noise which you noticed through the night, like as if every time someone in the block went to toilet you could hear the pipework in our room - I am a light sleeper. It could have been air conditioning - i really don't know sounded like in our own bathroom on times - but as i say im a very light sleeper. I would have preferred curtains outside the blind as light came in around the edge - personal choice i like a very dark room.

Great service. Arriving late so they called me and I could literally park outside my room and walk in with a key waiting inside, plus with good quality cafetière local coffee grounds to brew in the room. Water provided also. Good size room and en-suite. Excellent breakfast timings and good quality food cooked to order, lots of options. Best pain au chocolate I've had in ages along with smoked salmon and scrambled eggs very nicely made. Easy access free wifi.

Bathroom had a bit of mould in a few places out of reach and could benefit with a bleach clean and perhaps a new sealant/paint freshen up to get it perfect. No heated mirror and fan vent not up to much so can't use the mirror for a while if you've had a shower due to steam. A little road noise if hot day and windows open, but no problem for me.

We started with Sunday lunch, which was excellent, although the wait was long, and then checked in. We were staying overnight as we had a concert at Badminton, just 15 minutes away. I imagine most people stay there for Abth - it is good value for a Bath hotel. The room was solid and quiet. There is plenty of room and a well- equipped bathroom. King bed was comfy. Staff couldn't do enough for us, including preparing breakfast takeaway for us as we had to leave at 7.30am, which is when breakfast starts in the week. Good parking for which guests register on arrival.

Honestly found.nothing to complain about.

Great place. We hired four rooms for one night for large family group. All rooms were spot on. Big thanks to housekeeping who prepared one room early which made our logistics much easier. Amy looked after us on arrival and she looked after us very well. Extremely helpful, answered all our questions, and made the process very easy. Camille looked after us at breakfast. He was also brilliant, looked after us really well. Coffees were delicious and copious. And the kitchen produced 8 lovely breakfasts. The whole experience was probably the best we’ve had on a single night stopover.

Great dog friendly hotel and pub. We really enjoyed our stay. Good location for exploring the area (only 20 mins drive into Bath). The room was spacious, clean and comfortable with good facilities including a cafetière and very big double bed. Lovely toiletries too. Breakfast was included in the rate and we had dinner at the pub too. The food was fantastic and the service was excellent. We were made to feel very welcome with the dog and he loved the attention and treats. Would definitely stay here again and have recommended to friends & family with dogs.

We recently had the pleasure of staying at this wonderful hotel and I must say, it was an outstanding experience. The staff was incredibly helpful, supportive and kind. They went above and beyond to ensure that all our needs were met and I truly appreciate their level of dedication and professionalism. Moreover, the breakfast was exceptional and exceeded my expectations. The wide range of delicious options and fresh ingredients made for a perfect start to our day. Overall, I would highly recommend the Crown Inn to anyone. The combination of excellent service, exceptional breakfast and comfortable accommodations make it a perfect choice for anyone traveling in the area. Thank you to the staff for making my stay so memorable!

Wonderful hotel and restaurant! The rooms are big and all on the ground floor. I even had a handicapped accessible bathroom (my Mom would have appreciated this!) - although I didn't need it. There was coffee/tea and biscuits and I was even given a thermos of milk at check-in. The bed was comfy and it was a perfect room for me. Lots of parking available (you had to register your license plate). The staff were amazing -- from the servers to the cleaning staff -- so friendly, cheerful, and helpful! And the restaurant was fantastic!!! I ate breakfast 2 times and had dinner there 2 times as well. It was some of the best food I've had in England (steak pie with mash and kale and Friday fish with 3-cheese mac)! Seriously great food - kudos to the chef! It's in a quiet area, but easy to go out sightseeing (Cotswolds). I highly recommend!

Nothing, it was fantastic! Some things could eventually be modernized a bit (bathroom), but very minor.

We stayed here whilst walking the Cotswold Way. The location was absolutely perfect being so close to the route, the room was immaculate and comfy, staff were so friendly and the food was brilliant (both evening meal and breakfast). On departure we also ordered a packed lunch for our last day of walking, for which there was plenty of choice (and the sandwich was delicious!). Would definitely recommend to anyone staying in the area, or even to come just for food - we will very likely be back in the future

we were staying for one night to break a long journey, I called ahead to check about a meal - the kitchen would be closed, but the manager called back and offered to make something as late as possible and keep it warm for us - amazing service. bedroom was great; very comfortable large bed, powerful shower, tea/coffee & fresh milk. breakfast was delicious; I can honestly say some of the beet scrambled eggs I have ever been served ( I have them a lot and they are often dreadful!) a great stay, wonderful staff and incredible value. thoroughly recommend.

no negatives to note

Accommodation block is separate from pub with very easy level access from car park. Personalised welcome letter on arrival was a nice touch. Coffee was supplied via a cafeteirre with ground coffee and fresh milk in a thermos flask, much nicer than the instant sachet you usually get. Fabulous spacious walk in shower with plenty of hot water and the bed was comfortable. Food wise i eat in the attached pub/restaurant and cannot fault food. I had the burger which was out of the world-homemade beef burger with home made barbeque sauce. It came with chips and (a rather small) pot of homemade coleslaw. Had the peach sorbet based dessert which was heavenly

Cant think of a single thing !
