The accommodation was very easy to find & parking was at the front of the property. Rupert met us at the door and showed us to Room 2, on the ground floor. The room was brilliant. Spacious, airy and clean. Coffee and tea making facilities with biscuits. We ordered breakfast on a sheet to be left in the hall, what a brilliant idea! The accommodation was excellently placed for Buxton. Rupert gave us leaflets for Pooles Cavern, Solomon Temple and recommended somewhere to eat. We were very impressed with the accommodation and would recommend it to anyone looking to stay in Buxton!

Rupert and Caroline are shy, friendly & helpful host and hostess. They cook a delicious hot breakfast and provide cereals, porridge, jam, juices & fruit salad too). Optional toasts, soya milk and vegetarian alternatives are also available. The process of submitting our breakfast requirements the day/evening before with the form provided after housekeeping every day, is very efficient. Therefore, you don't have to have the same breakfast, if you choose not to. They provide nearby area tourist information leaflets and umbrellas, if needed. The free onsite car park is also helpful. There seems to be a whiff of Jasmine flowers (?) in the morning when we go out to our car. The little black cat ornament in the front garden is so cute too! The interior of the B&B is tastefully decorated with mirrors, flowers, ornaments and lovely paintings, including in the breakfast dining area. The black and white floor tiles in the hallway reminds me of a scene in Alice in Wonderland! The rooms are spacious, beds and blankets are warm and comfortable. The curtains are suitably thick enough to block out the lights from the outside, in the early morning. Although you can/will be woken up by the singing birds. The heating for the shower and radiators are sufficient to keep us warm. The outside street is quiet (at least in the month of January when we stayed). The WiFi, complimentary tea/coffee/biscuits as well as the shower and toilet facilities (with complimentary shampoo and conditioner gels, body wash gel and shower cap) are also very good. Our room no.8 is on the 1st floor and it has a separate toilet/sink room and a separate shower room. A hair dryer is also available in the drawer. There are enough plug sockets for plugging in your electronic devices and rechargers.

We could hear the creaking floors and snoring from upstairs at night time.

It's a nice B&B in a quiet street, but near the main road for shops and cafes. You can walk easily to anywhere in Buxton and very close to Poole's cavern. The room was clean and warm (It was February and very cold outside), bed was comfy. Well stocked with a selection of teas and coffee. Run by a friendly couple, and they offered a vegan option for breakfast and fruit tea which was appreciated. I went alone for a quiet few days and I was happy here.

Only thing I can think of is that they didn't have a smart TV to log into Netflix, not a huge issue but would be a nice feature if the TV's were updated.

Accommodation good, lovely property close to opera house and good restaurants. Hosts very informative. Room had everything required for an overnight stay. Greatly appreciated very good quality towels and loved instant hot water in bathroom. In room good selection of branded drinks and snacks to choose from. Bed reasonably comfortable, I understand everyone has preferences. Not disturbed by any noise from inside or outside the property during the stay. Didn’t have breakfast due to early start. Thank you to the hosts.

Nothing to dislike.

Lovely period building . High ceilings. The rooms were well appointed. Great off road parking. Welcoming host. The position is very handy for the town centre

We would have prefered to have a big bed rather than singles but were aware of that when we made the booking . There was some mould round the window frame but appreciate it is hard to open the window to air out the room and maintain security in a ground floor front of property room. These are minor points that did not detract from a very pleasant stay

The owners and guests were very friendly, the breakfast was delicious and there were plenty of options to choose from. My room exceeded my levels of expectations. It was spacious, lots of refreshments and toiletries and it was kept clean and tidy. Hassle free parking and only a 10 minute walk into Buxton. I really enjoyed my stay and would definitely come back to stay here again.

Hard to say what I dislike about the place.

The breakfast was very good, freshly cooked. the host was happy to provide porage on request. .We particularly enjoyed the fresh fruit and yoghurt. The coffee was good and I enjoyed the smoded salmon and scrambled egg option. The information about the area was good and the host lent us books of local maps. The bed was very comfortable

We would like a bath handle to get in and out of the bath safely.

Breakfasts were tasty and enjoyable. The room exceeded my expectations , not just in size but also in that the bathroom was just that i.e. had an actual bath in it! Had this been a different time of year or had the weather been poor more frequently,, I would have had a bath - and enjoyed it! As it was the shower was much better through being at the end of the bath rather than in a poky little shower cubicle which has been my experience in other Bed & Breakfast establishments.

On my first night, i was able to hear a raised woman's voice from the next bedroom. However this did not interfere with sleep and at breakfast I concluded that this was probably because she had learnt to speak loudly as her husband was somewhat deaf!

The decor and furnishings were beautiful, the room was clean and warm, bathroom sparkling and was able to park on the premises in front of the building itself. The street was very quiet and the stunning curtains blocked out the daylight, enabling a good night sleep. Within easy reach of pubs and restaurants and a 10-15 minute walk to the centre of Buxton. Breakfast was brilliant, providing good quality cereals, fresh fruit and yoghurts. Followed by a cooked breakfast of your choice and toast. Great care was taken in quality and presentation in absolutely everything

If I wanted to be really, really picky, then the bathroom floor was noisy. (room 2) It has been tiled and not quite sure why it creaked? Certainly wouldn’t stop us from staying there again though.

Location was excellent only 5-7min walk to shops, pubs and town. Room had a hair dryer, and bathroom towels nice and soft with bathroom suites provided even face cloths. Good size wardrobe. A very informative local Infomation book and lovely owners. Breakfast was lovely with cereals, fruit salad and full cooked breakfast.

Everything was wonderful
