Staff were exceptional, could not have been more helpful. Helped us book taxis, we're up at near 1:00am when we had an issue arriving back from an event, really went out of their way to ensure we wee okay. First night we wanted to go out somewhere locally for food but it was a little late so the options weren't great. They allowed us to order a takeaway to the pub and also provided plates and cutlery which was great. The rooms looked like they'd been newly refurbished so were very clean, tidy and modern. Bed was comfortable, too.

Honestly, for what we needed, this was perfect.

Lovely room, very clean and comfortable. There is a private entrance for the rooms so you don't need to walk through the pub to get to them. Well stocked with bits for making tea and coffee. Friendly staff. Very good value. Room was a little noisy from the pub in the early evening (Saturday evening) but was quiet again by the time we were back late evening. We stayed here for a wedding nearby.

Myself and some friends stayed here for the weekend, we were attending a wedding nearby. The rooms were superb, the staff were very friendly & accomodating can highly recommend the Crown & Anchor. They don't do food but there are some good pubs down the road and lovely bakers over the road. Thank you for your hospitality. The Yorkshire lasses.

Convenient location for working nearby, Comfortable room and appeared to be recently refurbished bathroom. Comfy bed too! Nice position next to the canal for a walk and a corner shop. I would recommend the Jolly Sailor for a evening meal! (Possibly the best homemade Steak and Ale pie I've ever had!)

Parking situation wasn't ideal as the (all be it) small car park is used as a beer garden. Parking is alongside the pub (Covered by CCTV) or on the main road.

The room was so clean and fresh. Room and ensuite were immaculate. Entrance stairs and landing were fresh and clean. Nicely decorated and presented well. Really enjoyed our posh water and biscuits. Bed so comfy, linen and towels very clean. Room was quiet. Lovely view of the canal outside. Would definitely stay there again.

Stayed 2 nights. Easy to find. Staff excellent. They showed us around the building so we knew how to get in and out of the building easily. Room spotless. So clean you could perform surgery. When the manager/owner found out my wife had health difficulties, she checked on her to make sure she was OK with the attack room (which we were). Would definitely stay again.

We walked into the bar and were warmly greeted and quickly shown to our room. The room was very clean and looks to have been recently decorated. The bathroom had a lovely modern suite, with a large bath. We could hear the music in the bar, below, but this was unobtrusive and was off by 11pm. The locals were friendly and there was a lively atmosphere in the bar. There are tea and coffee making facilities in the room. There is free WiFi.

If I had a quibble there was no hairdryer. Wish they did food.

2nd time we've stayed here. Rooms are smarty appointed and larger than most other establishments costing lots more. The bath towels are lovely, large and very absorbant, again better than most other hotels we've stayed at!! They do not do food, which is a shame, but not a problem. I'm sure we'll be back,

The staff were incredibly sweet and accommodating. I had a difficult day travelling to the area and they really went out of their way to make sure I felt okay once I got there. The room itself was lovely, clean and quiet, and my stay was very straightforward. I would recommend this inn!

The staff where fabulous! Couldn’t have asked for better customer service. They lady even helped us find a local taxi company which was really helpful. Room was Lovley and clean

The parking was very limited but did manage to park up the road. The checkout in the morning was a little confusing as no one was there.
