The Ashleigh

The hotel was I a great position, walking distance of the town, the beach and close to the rail station if I come next time on the train. I was born in Boscombe, and it was ideal for doing my memory tour.

I can not say that there is anything I didn't like. What would be useful is a shelf by the sink in room 1. Other than that, it was perfect for me.

High ceilings, bathrobes slippers, kettle, coffee machine, clean, big comfortable bed, 10 mins from the beach by car. Casual easy check in, lovely warm welcome. All good.

Not the best for the parking. You can get blocked in or block someone else. You will have to leave your car keys with the owners if you don't want to be disturbed. But for us that wasn't a deal breaker.

The person attending to me when I arrived was kind enough to arrange transportation for me to the airport same day. They were very helpful and welcoming. Facilities in the room were sufficient for the length of the stay.

The room didn't have curtains, and the the shutters didn't close completely. It did make sleep a bit of a problem, but it's not the be all and end all.

+ the dogs are really guests here not only accepted (but owners are also very welcome 😁) + I got a free upgrade (the garden room was a bliss) + super friendly host, very personal and warm atmosphere

- nothing really, only the shower was a mystery to me (make sure you know how it works before you get in)

Conveniently located near the station if one needs to commute on the day. Very clean and comfortable rooms with amenity kits provided, yea and coffee facilities, biscuits and fudge 😊. The breakfast room looks over a peaceful, well looked after garden, if you’re lucky to be sitting at the right table (which I was). Also I could park my car right at the front of the hotel, though I understand there are not enough parking spaces for the number of rooms. In my case there were plenty of parking spaces, which helped.

I can find no faults. I had a really pleasant stay and rest just before an work test, so I was more than happy.

Friendly, welcoming and helpful host who went above and beyond to make sure our stay was enjoyable and pleasing. Very well presented property with relatively modern decor to allow for a homely feel. Excellent level of housekeeping and cleanliness

Approx 20 mins walk into town, however a bus stop is located around the corner

I was really stressed about arriving late as my train was delayed, I was met with a warm welcome from Lucy. I was really tired after a long journey and the room was just perfection. It was spotlessly clean, warm (as it was a cold night) and very comfortable. The bed was a nice king size with nice bedding.The toiletries where excellent and presented beautifully. The shower was spacious and hot. Good supply of tea and coffee and biscuits. This place is a little Gem and great value for money, and so convenient for the Train station.

The fact I couldn't have breakfast due to Covid restrictions.

Excellent size room with large bed, had everything I needed for a two night stay. It was really clean, easy location to wander into town and to the beach, and very close to the station. Lucy was a wonderful host!

Shower was a little small, everything else was great.

The staff were super friendly made you feel extremely welcome and at home loved how you have your own little coffee machine in your room too and adored the little sound box that made rain type noises to help you sleep. The box also had a lot of things in which other hotels don’t have. It was lovely there and didn’t feel like a hotel at all felt more homely.

Lovely clean room. We had our pet dog staying with us and wasn't sure if there would be any residual pet smells in the room from previous occupants, but not at all. Room was really clean and smelled very clean and fresh. There was a lovely gift box for our dog, which we thought was a really nice touch.

Quite a bit of noise outside late at night. Nothing to do with the hotel at all, but it was a warm night and really needed the window open, so we were disturbed by the noise unfortunately.
