Price, location was good.

They did not clean the room before our stay, but wanted to charge us extra for the 1 more hour we spent after the check out, while nobody attempted to clean the room :)

The staff were absolutely brilliant. Great location. Had a very comfy stay They had a theme day on and the locals were friendly and full of fun ! The rooms were clean, comfy and quite spacious. Excellent value for money. Maybe wouldn’t recommend for a family with small children as it’s a very busy lively pub. We had a full English breakfast in the morning and again it was excellent!! We loved it and would definitely stay again. Thank you ‘The Station’ xxx

My only criticism would be to maybe put the price of the room up slightly and include tea & coffee facilities…I like a brew during the night xx

Excellent breakfast for a very reasonable price. The staff were extremely helpful, polite and have a very good sense of humour. The room was very clean and all the basic requirements were there. They could have put a separate hand wash for the bathroom. Soap was provided. I would like to say thank you to all the staff for being so courteous.

WiFi was poor in the evening but was good in the morning. I still believe it was OK for the price. A good WiFi will attract people who want to do some work while staying. I needed good internet connection so used my data in the evening.

friendly staff and was a really smooth check in experience. As long as you’re not after luxury this place has everything you need for a decent price. It’s attached to a local pub but surprisingly you hear NO noise from the bar area in the rooms.

The hotel isn’t in the best place for shops but for the location the price is really good. Close to a train station we used that everyday to get to the NEC. I think the hotel have mentioned in other reviews that they will be replacing them but the carpets throughout the place need replacing, they are very stained. Not the hotels fault but the walls are quite thin and if other guests aren’t considerate you will hear them talking or moving around.

Location perfect for our stay. Staff super friendly. Rooms clean and tidy. It was quiet considering we were next to a busy road. Limited menu for food but great hot dog/burger deal and great portion size for the money!

Only one flat pillow and one hand towel and when asked Staff they explained they couldn't give more as people are stealing them. I had to bend my pillow over to make it thicker and shower with just a hand towel to wipe myself! Also no tea and coffee making facilities in the room, or cleaning products such as soap! If I knew beforehand I could've gone prepared but know for next time!

The beds are comfortable. There's covenient store and halal foods within walking distance. Parking is very close. However, please make sure you register your car plate number in the parking system when you check-in or you will be fined.

Suggestion for improvement: Another separate Entry for Check-In. We have to pass through a bar before reaching the Reception. As that day was a holiday, the bar was full, my kids and I have difficulty to pass through the customers with our luggage.

Convenient for Birmingham Airport. Staff helpful and polite.

Not as close to the station as expected, and the walk from the station to hotel reception did not feel completely safe to a woman on her own. Hotel demanded a £50 deposit, to be returned only after the room was cleaned, which was not advertised in booking details. To be fair, they did return my deposit promptly. The room smelt faintly of old cigarette smoke.

Easy to locate and park the car. Very friendly and polite receptionist and pleasantly surprised by the size and cleanliness of the 2 rooms we had booked. Good facilities, free toiletries, modern and clean bathrooms and comfortable beds. All secure with door codes provided for entry and exit and keys for rooms.

We were unsure about how to check-in, there were no signs or any obvious entrance to the boarding facilities, therefore we had to walk through the pub with our luggage and ask at the bar. Once in our room we couldn't locate the remote control for the television, it had to be requested from reception. We also had to ask for the wifi code as this was not readily available and the wifi quality was poor.

Staff very welcoming and helpful. Explained everything so we could come and go as we pleased. Very accommodating. Pub down stairs ended the music at 11.45pm and was quiet after that. Tv in room. Requested a kettle and they provided it with mugs and spoon. Leave by 10am and have the option of having a breakfast in the bar downstairs (pay extra). The night before we had stayed at a well profiled B&B and it was stuffy, this place was not and felt airy. Though the others did get the smell of 'weed' coming up the stairs and under our door. We stayed on a Friday night. Would stay again without a doubt. we all slept well.

The only thing was the carpet, it needs either a deep clean or a replacement. Its disgusting. But the overall of the place was clean and has what you need for a nights stay. Think there was a problem within the building as the fire alarm went off at midnight but was soon sorted out.

Staff were really friendly and helpful. Great location close to Stechford station, short train from there for NEC or city centre. The rooms are above a pub so if youre looking for a quiet evening this isn't the place for you. However if you're out for the evening or out at an event until late, like we were then it's not a problem

No tea and coffee making facilities in room. Landlady made a cup of coffee for us in evening but that is only during pub hours. If you want a tea or coffee before 8am when breakfast opens you can't.
