The staff were so friendly and accommodating. The lovely lady that cooked us breakfast was so super nice, nothing was too much trouble The rooms were cozy and the breakfast was lovely and affordable, and the lady made a proper decent brew 👌 Would definitely recommend and we hope to stay again 😊

This is more a suggestion than a negative. The only thing I would recommend. This is more for people with babies, is a kettle in the room. I struggled to try and heat the babies bottle during the night, as I had to use the sink hot water which took alot longer. Everything else was spot on 😊

Staff was lovely. Very close to the city centre by car. Lovely meals provided on site. Close to some shops like a large Tesco. I found the food was very reasonably priced on site. My husband loved being able to enjoy a good breakfast before we set off for the day.

It is very close to Aston football grounds, so potential for a rowdy evening in the pub which is expected, and we experienced one evening as such, however we went to our room and the sound did not follow us., so all good. The only other thing was, we're used to having a kettle and hair dryer in our rooms and I missed this when booking, we purchased our own at Tesco. You can however ask for coffee to take to your room at the bar and staff are very helpful and considerate.

Photo id put me off staying. Booking .com should make it clear when you book. As a lodger it is extremely difficult to get it. I was very worried that I would be turned away with my expired provisional and have to sleep rough. I feel this is discriminatory,and also no one should be allowed to take copies of photo id. It should be illegal. The deposit-having staff check the room before giving it back is humiliating. Also cheaper hotels normally have a minor fault/fault somewhere. It makes me feel like I will be accused of something I didn't do and makes it difficult to enjoy the stay. It also makes me not want to eat or drink anything in case I accidently spill it.

The staff were awesome, friendly and very helpful. Traveling halfway across the world on our first visit to UK, my husband, an Aston Villa fan got to experience the Aston Inn even though it was out of season viewing the photos on the walls, talking to Aston Inn staff who suggested we chat to staff/security at Villa Park about having a little look since were weren't able to book a tour. Much to our delight they did let us view inside Villa Park and my husband got to hold the winning cup too! After purchasing memorabilia from the Aston Villa shop, we achieved what we had hoped. Thank you.

Ample safe parking, the staff are very pleasant and helpful. I spoke with other customers and they were also pleasant. It was very close to the event we were attending. Overall I would stay there again and I do recommend The Aston Inn.

My first meeting with the hotel manageress/owner gave me the impression she didn't like my presence in the hotel. This could have been to various reasons and not personally directed at me. As my daughter explained "Dad she might be having a bad day at work." Next day she was more "welcoming." We could have done with a kettle in the room.

Staff were lovely and very helpful which all helped with the experience for my boys and their first Villa game, The Aston inn is full of Aston villa pictures and memorabilia which for any Villa fan is always nice and made my boys very excited when they first walked in, The rooms are basic but clean and that is all you can ask for, The location is a short walk to Villa park so the location was perfect for us to take in all the joy of match day and close enough so we could get a change of clothes after waiting in the rain for player signatures, Thanks again for a few days my boys will never forget.

We stayed here to attend the Commonwealth Games. The location was perfect only being a short walk to the station which took us to University, New Street and Perry Bar. The staff were friendly, the room was basic but absolutely fine for what we wanted. Despite being near the motorway and railtrack, as well as a busy hotel, we had no problems with noise. I booked the room last August before the prices were inflated so this was great value for money

I knew that I was booking a budget hotel so was not expecting all the frills and was therefore not disappointed

Very friendly staff and really helpful. Felt at ease. Will come back again as liked everything there as was really close for work purposes. Room was ultra clean and tidy. Good sized TV on the wall too. Great menu and a well-stocked bar downstairs. Lovely people. Great for a reasonably cheap stay to a good city (and the home town of Aston Villa if that is your thing!)

Mattress needs replacing as springs not a good as they could be. But was totally clean with fresh linen. A blanket put into the room for extra warmth if personally required. Decor (walls) could do with a fresh lick of paint and the hall carpets washed but did not hinder my stay in any way. The staff and the location were great.

I booked the room as somewhere to stay overnight after taking my grand-daughter to the Commonwealth Games. It wasn't somewhere I would normally have chosen but finding reasonably priced accommodation on the last night of the Games was almost impossible. I liked the warm welcome we received and the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff.We loved the atmosphere of the little club with all it's links to Aston Villa as my grand-daughter is a fan. The room had everything we needed and we were able to get food easily and cheaply. The Aston is close to the train station and easy to find.

Although our room was fine, the view was of the yard and empty beer barrels and there was a slight smell of stale beer. I would also have liked coffee making facilities in the room, but these were minor issues to me.
