Amazingly decorated/designed hotel. The room was spacious (in fact there were two rooms - a bedroom and a sitting one). The food in their pub was delicious and very well served.

The room was very cold. I appreciate during the summertime it should be ok, but as for December, we were freezing. Please also bear in mind, there is only a showerhead (no hose at all). So, if you are not planning to wash your hair during your stay, you may need to bring a shower cap with you. We also had to leave taps open for 10 minutes before getting to the hot water. The breakfast they offer as included is a continental one, which includes coffee/tea, croissants and sweet pastries, jams, yoghurts, and cereals. They unfortunately do not offer ham or cheese. Although, the croissants and pastries were tasty and felt like they were freshly baked.

Beautiful location. Very good staff. Helpful and professional, especially the temp emma. Overall impression was good. And we would stay again.we had 1 evening meal which was cooked to perfection and was delicious 😋 fish and chips. Family bedroom great.....comfy beds. Clean and fresh. There is plenty of hot water and very nice soaps and shampoos etc. Efficient fan provided.

Tv in room didn't work with remote and Internet was intermittent. No coffee machine although cups and pods. Can be noisy at night from guests sitting outside. Very limited menu. 😕 no steak, gammon, pies or pasta....? Overall I'd check rooms facilities were as advertised Improve internet/tv connection. Extend menu choices 😋 👌

The staff working here are lovely. Young, friendly and always helpful. The rooms have everything you need and the beds are gloriously comfortable. There are decent fans in each room which you need at this time of year. There are fridges in the room with a bottle of cold water in them. There is an iron and ironing board in every room. There are block power extensions by the beds with lots of space to plug electrical items in and for charging phones and laptops. Fabulous!

My room didn't have the coffee machine in it and the courtesy tray was missing a few things. The hotel had had a power surge which blew out a few electricals so there was a reason why there was no coffee machine in my room. There was no loo roll in the other room we booked but these are small things that are easily remedied and do not detract from the overall loveliness of this Inn.

The hotel was in a beautiful location. Such a picturesque village. The room was a great size and the hotel went above and beyond to accommodate our dogs, the facilities in that regard are second to none. The pub did great food including one of the best pies I’ve ever had. In addition I left my expensive watch in the room after checkout and the hotel called me to let me know and organised delivery of this to my home address in Manchester. Overall a fantastic stay, unbelievable value for money, lovely staff, efficient management. Would highly recommend to anyone.

Nothing.

The room has all the facilities and amenities you could ask for. from the Nespresso machine to the hairdryer and ironing resources, it was a well thought out and comfortable room. It could be a little on the small side for some, but I was on my own with my dog. The bed is very large and super comfy. The entire stay was laid back and relaxing and close to Andover for me to visit my son and friends.

Just a little bit small and it faced the car park and bins at the back, but be assured that this did not detract from the loveliness and comfort of the room.

Location ideal because adjacent to the Hawk Conservancy Trust we were visiting on the following day. Evening meal was very good and well prepared. Staff friendly and helpful. There was ample choice for breakfast with hot elements cooked to order. The bedroom was well supplied with coffee (Nespresso), tea and biscuits and the absence of a room fridge was compensated by the availability of chilled water from a fridge in the corridor. Ample towels and parking spaces. Outdoor eating available as well as a well laid out bar/dining area. Clearly popular with locals and visitors alike.

The bedroom was smaller than we are used to but not an issue for a one night stay. The shower worked well but needed the grouting around the base replacing.

We were immediately struck by the astonishing beauty of the location. It's set in a delightful thatched roof village amidst rolling meadows and babbling brooks. The staff were most welcoming and only too happy to accommodate our dietary needs. There was always a smile on their faces. Also, for the purpose of our trip to enjoy a track day at Thruxton race circuit, it is only 10 minutes away by car. It made for a superb overnight stay.

Room 1. Although the room was very clean and generally in good order, there were a couple of items that we felt could be addressed. The power switch to the bathroom extractor fan was cracked and needs replacement. The other niggle was that there is no method of secure ventilation to the room. The external windows and door of this room are all on the ground floor leading to the carpark at the rear of the building, and they are not lockable when open. However, having said that it was by no means a 'deal breaker'. We enjoyed our stay and would certainly consider staying at, and recommending the Hawk Inn in future.

Comfort of bed-a great night's sleep. Evening meal was very good both for me and for my vegetarian wife. Good real beer and wine selection . This is a pub with an excellent restaurant and friendly staff We had a drive from hell down to the inn and our experience here restored our equilibrium and reduced our stress levels back to normal. The location of the inn is in a lovely village setting -don't miss taking a stroll in the morning .

My husband and I booked the Hawk Inn as a one-night stopover on the way back south from Stratford. The price was good, the location looked nice and it was in the right direction for our travels home. Little did we know it would prove to be the highlight of our four day getaway. After coming from Stratford which has, sadly, become quite commercialised, the countryside of Amport was a breath of fresh air. Literally. This stunning little village, consisting of more thatched roof cottages than I've seen outside a Dickens novel, was all one could want for a tranquil spot to unwind and explore. Walks in the area are plentiful, bird songs are constant and an occasional car or horse on the road makes for a very appealing stay. The Hawk Inn itself was delightful. We took the smallest room but it was still very comfortable with a fabulous bed and pillows, and all the amenities one needs (hairdryer, iron, coffee machine, telly). The staff were friendly, warm and welcoming and everything was spotless. Since we didn't know the area, we declined dinner at the downstairs pub and went in search of a restaurant in Andover. Big mistake. After perusing the streets of this not-so-appealing town, we called the Hawk, made a dinner booking, and hotfooted it back. Good food, comfy environment, staff nice but a little distracted, and a very pleasant experience overall. We're now talking about a return trip. Not as a stopover; as a destination.
